Review: Brooklyn-based Pakistani vocalist Aroof Aftab presents her third studio album, and a record that has the power to transport listeners pretty much anywhere. While steeped in traditions stereotypically associated with her homeland, ears more attuned will quickly pick up on just how divergent this is. Whether you'd consider it a classical album is down to how you gauge that genre term, we'd say it has grown broad enough over the past century to definitely include this, but ultimately even that seems reductive.

Elements of poetry, ambient trance, jazz, minimalism, and new age, it's a spiritual and musical experience based around themes of discovery, loss, memory, and intimate connections with the Earth. Sonically, that translates as something that's at once sublime and yet also surprising, combining a multitude of influences from aeons of songwriting to create something that could not have existed in any previous era.

Review: After Dinner is like one of those molecular gastronomy adventures, where dishes are both playful and highly complex, not necessarily revealing themselves until the very end. Done with talk of food? Let's just say this is a loose art collective led by a composer called Haco, who were concerned with taking musical plurality and splicing disparate elements together to create a kind of friendly Frankenstein's monster of sound.

And friendly it definitely is. Considered a true one-off of Japanese pop-art rock-avant garde, Paradise of Replica is jaunty, it's amusing, it's beguiling and, ultimately, incredibly immersive. There are moments where the clash of pianos plucked straight from a comedy of manners opera and rough electric guitars (to give one example of the juxtapositions) feel rather strange, but it doesn't take too long for you to get sucked right into the centre of this insane sonic universe.

Review: It may be open to debate how ironic that title is - the New Zealand-born singer-songwriter Harding insists that it's not. But the fact that this record isn't overburdened by elated atmospherics takes nothing away from a quietly powerful, reflective and charismatic piece of work. PJ Harvey comparisons (particularly in relation to 'White Chalk') are bound to present themselves, especially with longtime Peej collaborator John Parish on board, but 'Party' is a dark gem with a lustre all its own. not to mention brio, humour and subtlety to spare.

Review: Experimental guitarist Thomas Almqvist was known across the board for his wide-ranging strung-instrumental skill, and is noted for being a rare player of the 16-string harp guitar. 'Nyanser' is largely considered his greatest album, combining a slew of spiritual dirges for sax, guitar, synth and organ; folk-bossa-nova detours; and beatless meanders for solo, prepared guitar, into a single stew. Also comes the cross-rhythmic drum detour 'Mot Natten' - it truly is testament to a curious musical mind to condense this many influences.

Review: We are extremely thankful of the existence of Altin Gun, a Dutch band who focus their efforts on playing Turkish folk/psychedelic rock. Three albums so far have served to establish their sprawling sound. Their latest, Ask, does particularly well to chuck additional funk and disco edges into the mix - but contemporaneously comes On, a reissue of their debut LP released in 2018. In reissuing it, French label Le Vinyl Club document the band's eureka moment and subsequent splash onto the scene that eventually won them a Grammy. Beautiful cuts such as 'Goca Dunya' hear well-polished takes on trad Turkish folk, but with an added energy and verve brought to the fore by not only an electrifying backing band, but a whopping two vocalists, Merve Dasdemir and Erdinc Ecevit Yildiz.

Review: Altin Gun has a famously recognisable sound and it is once again laid bare heart for all to enjoy. This new album is a triumphant return for the much-loved sextet from Amsterdam and one that is high on energy levels throughout. Though familiar in that way, this Ask album finds the band ditching some of their synth-drenched former sounds and 80s and 90s pop leanings to return to their 70s Anatolian funk of their roots. It almost sounds like a live album such is the hustle and bustle of the music with the results sounding all the more warm and welcoming.

Now this reissue by Music On Vinyl presents the original album exactly as it was, and it's the first ever vinyl repress.

This new album, Portrayals, is a collection of some of her best work in the field and it also includes a new version of 'Blue Moon' you will not have heard before. She has now been at this for some two decades and so is adept at adding her own style to even the most unthinkably classic tunes. The singer-songwriter is a veteran of some ten studio albums and has won several awards for her work, which is always emotive, expressive and draws you in deep. This album is yet more proof of that.

The former Swan Michael Gira was in complete commanding control throughout as he also links up with some old time pals as well as new school talents such as Larkin Grimm, David Garland and Bill Rieflin. This is just one of the albums of his that Mute and Young God Records are reissuing with Other People also set to drop soon. It has been hard for fans to find it ever since so now it gets an all new vinyl and CD reissue with this being the limited orange and black marbled version. It comes with new artwork but has been pressed from the original master so all the songs sound as they were intended first time round. They make for an intimate listen that draws on elements of greasy rock & roll as well as some tender blue-eyed soul, and even a hint of bluegrass.

Review: Dan Auerbach is best known for his role in The Black Keys and you only need to give his 2009 solo album the quickest of spins to make the connection. But Keep It Hid is no straight clone of the 'Keys sound, as Auerbach leans in on a scratchy, scuzzy solo outlet for his songwriting. The title track is a sluggish end of the night bar prop, while 'Heartbroken, In Disrepair' doubles down on tripped-out tremolo for a more psychedelic affair than you might normally associate with Auerbach's better-known work. It's a knockout slice of dirty south blues rock given a shot of something spicy - and now it's being repressed as a limited orange and black vinyl with a bonus insert.

Review: "A document created in the shadow of incredible darkness. One from which the creator hadn't planned on escaping and still doesn't. Hence the title of the album. It is the result of an illness that I've battled my whole life. It isn't something that the world has done to me. It's the world I live in, and it's no one's fault."
So says Brian Christinzio, AKA BC Camplight, of his sixth album. As ever, it's a musical masterpiece packing dense layers of instrumental experimentation and theses-worthy lyrical poignance. An artist who has never played by the musical rules, fans of strong juxtapositions will again be in there element, with a tracklist that spans grunge-y garage rock, twisted barroom journeyman stuff, theatrical guitar pop, and plenty more. But the sounds themselves are only one half the genius. When it comes to arrangements, things are as playful as they are innovative, keeping listeners guessing as to how structures will pan out.

Review: It's almost unfathomable more people haven't heard of Beau. Without question one to the finest living (recording) musicians on the face of the planet, the guitar master has been putting albums out since (drum roll) 1969, with his most recent, The Methadone of Our Time, arriving in 2021. The Leeds-born folk and folktronica legend's work rate is so high, in fact, that he regularly delivers more than one LP in a year, with 2013 among the bumper calendars in which he managed to bestow no less than six full-length-ers on fans.

Beau takes us right back to where it all began. Well, almost. Recorded in 1969, and hitting shelves just after his debut 1917 Revolution, it has aged fantastically well, much like the artist himself. A spellbinding showcase of his twelve-string guitar playing, it may have been very much of its time, but this is one few could argue fails on the timelessness test.

It is the first on Zach Condon's own Pompeii Records label and was recorded on the Norwegian album from which it takes its name. Condon had to cancel a tour in 2019 to focus on getting well after a breakdown and used the process to recover after growing issues around self doubt. The beautiful songs reflect the vulnerability of the artists with gorgeous melodies and layers of subtly rousing chords, supple rhythms and great contrast between light and dark.

The American recording world doing what it has always done so well, creating huge, heartbreaking, hopeful, and captivating mini operas disguised as pop. Or, if you want to get technical here: soft rock, country, folk, r&b and soul. OK, so there are elements of funk and jazz, too, and the result is a heady brew that's pretty inescapable. Harking back to the balladry heydays, with shades of Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and Carly Simon, to name but a few - in delivery and performance, if not necessarily tone - no matter where you're listening from it's going to be hard to forget this one.

Review: Sweden has so much to answer for in non-conformist music terms. And Gothenburg is responsible for plenty within that. Take Gustaf Dicksson's renowned Blod project, for example, and its formidable 2023 outing Ondskans Fro. As oppose to the preceding two albums, here we find the man in question flying solo on the mic having previously partnered with fair-voiced female vocalists, lending the record a sense not just of the personal and intimate, but solitary isolation. That may sound slightly sombre, but it shouldn't. In reality, while we often jump to miserable conclusions when we think of words like 'alone', there's no greater strength than our ability to be happy as individuals - self love being a prerequisite to loving anyone else. In many ways, that's a resounding takeaway here. Medieval ambient folk that is warm, inviting, peaceful, and often dreamy.

Review: Copenhagen-based Jason Dungan, aka Blue Lake arrives on Tonal Union with a stunning album built around inquisitive approaches to zithers, drones, clarinets, slide guitar and drum machines. It's a pastoral record first and foremost, but it's not bound by musical tradition and instead uses the impetus of post rock as a motivation to explore expressive, evocative spaces through composition and instrumentation. There are countless moments of shimmering beauty scattered throughout this vibrant album, which respond to the time he spent isolated in a remote part of Sweden while crafting the bulk of the music.

Review: It's always nice when an album comes with a backstory so genuinely absurd it renders the project a surrealist work of art. Welcome to "I Made A Place", the first fresh material from Bonnie "Prince" Billy in time, dedicated to life's simple and most instinctive pleasures. Because in the face of real adversity overthinking is wasting time. So here's the yarn - Hawaii, January 2018, Will and Elsa, the creatives at work here, are in the midst of an artistic residency when a warning goes off about an impending missile attack. A song is written, "Blueberry Jam"; whimsical flight of fancy laughing in the face of impending Armageddon. Thankfully the "attack" was a false alarm, but it catalysed further work resulting in this album. Complex song craft and enchanting folk instrumentation rooted in what we feel when all is about to be lost.

Review: Bonnie "Prince" Billy (Will Oldham) is a folk artist of towering stature, so the news of a new album in 2023 was nothing if not a "stop what you're doing" moment. Now coming to full-length LP format for the first time, after an initial CD and digital release, Keeping Secrets Will Destroy You hears Billy revive the spirit of folk music's roots in community and place, conjuring the wise memories of his past and fusing them with the anxieties of his present day. An all-acoustic, all-emotive album, Oldham makes constant reference to his family and people, getting at the real impossibility of divorcing oneself from community, despite the myths to the contrary peddled by merchants of the American dream.

I Kept These Old Blues absolutely calls back to a golden age of Americana, but Bradley's Irish lilt comes through and entwines with her faithful Southern twang to make for an endlessly charming end result. Review: It was probably easy to come up with a catchier title for this collection of treasured recordings from one of the 20th Century's greatest lost talents. But like everything Buckley and music, ease isn't really part of the story, that is unless you're referencing the pure bliss of listening to this legend's voice, which is as easy on the ear as you could ask for.

Comprising tracks that were originally captured for broadcast, they reveal the very essence of what Buckley was about. Heartfelt, open-veined songs that grasp the human condition in astute swoops, by this point in his career the folk and Americana signatures had merged with jazz and abstract elements, presenting an image of a restless artist determined to keep exploring. It's been said before, but we will reiterate; had it not been for the tragic overdose a year after the OGWT recording featured here, we can only imagine where his oeuvre would have ended up.

Review: It's difficult to understate the originality running through everything Tim Buckley wrote, played, and sang. Tragically invited to join the 28 club back in 1975, in the nine years he was actively recording and touring he offered some of the most forward thinking folk music of that time. Which, considering just how busy that scene was then, is certainly saying something. Goodbye & Hello is an archetypal example, because in many ways it feels so anarchic.Yes, this is definitely a product of its day, but in the best possible way. Sending ferocious rock 'n' roll crescendos crashing into country-hued journeyman stuff, traditional folk, jazz, psychedelia and so much more. A testament to just how fertile the decade was, it's remarkable that today his name is often only referenced by the most devoted music historians and back catalogue diggers. So, if you're new here, this is an introduction you should not turn down.

Review: This cult album by Vashti Bunyan was first produced by Joe Boyd for Witchseason Productions. It originally came on Philips in 1970 and along the way, guest features include Fairport Convention's Simon Nicol and Dave Swarbrick as well as Eoin Williams from the Incredible String Band. Songs are about a time in her life when Vashti and her lover travelled by horse and cart to join with an artistic community in the Hebrides. Amusingly, by the time they arrived, the community had all left. A 2008 film tells the tale while this album provides the soundtrack.

Review: Quiet introspection and a fascinating view of 'ordinary life' characterise the latest solo record from singer-songwriter Bill Callahan. Many of his lyrics are observations of the mundane, but elevated by his wordplay and the dreamy, lullaby like quality of the guitar strumming around them. Nothing along the way here is ever forced, it unfolds with a sense of realism that is compelling throughout, and though much of it is masculine in subject, there is a feminine side to the emotion that make it widely accessible. Folky music this warm, heartfelt and filled with simple gratitude is a stable for this label, but few do it as well as Bill.

Review: Singer-songwriting wrapped up in the dusty acid wash denim of Americana doesn't really get more authentic than what Bill Callahan of Silver Spring, Maryland, can deliver. His latest LP, a mass saunter through 20 tracks of smokey spoken word and lightly sung lyrics, falls upon a picturesque bevvy of humble and acoustic instrumentation. Callahan's songs croon with romance, metaphor, and folky yarns that find their place among fingerpicked guitars and light melodies that enjoy a contrast with the darker musings of Callahan's own world of experience and storytelling. It presents the artist with his first studio in some five years, and a sound that is looser than a typical Bill Callahan missive but full of melodrama that centres around life and death. Our pick, Callahan's cover of the Carter Family's "Lonesome Valley".

He makes music that can be at times jarring and challenging and at others much more beautiful and soothing. He pairs off the magic of late night dreams with the harshness of the realities of life and all with plenty of musicianship and absorbing guitar skills. This album YTILAER follows others such as Gold Record, Shepherd In A SKeekskin Vest and Woke On A Whaleheart and brings all new influences to folk and Americana.

Review: It's October 2020 and two Bills decide to do a cover version of the 1967 Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) protest track 'Blackness of the Night'. A fitting choice given at the time the world was stuck in a strange recurring nightmare, defined by confusion, isolation, and pessimism, the track was not only appropriate, it was wonderfully re-read by the artists bringing it into the present day.

And they didn't stop there. Soon, there were more new versions of old greats coming from the pair, and the smart money was always on an album arriving at some point in the future. Well, that point is now, and finally we have it. Better yet, this is every bit as lovely as we could have hoped. Combining elements of pop, folk, blues, country, gospel, and rock, it's accomplished, sophisticated, and hugely enjoyable.

Review: Henson Cargill stands tall as one of the greatest from the golden era of country music just beyond the widespread recognition he deserved, and this compilation on Iron Mountain digs back to his creative peak in the late 60s and early 70s. Sourced directly from the Monument Record vaults, these songs were bold in their subject matter as Cargill railed on societal issues from neglectful parenting to anti-war sentiment and of course an abundance of regret and road-weary heartache. This is an essential window into the work of a true country icon, gather together by one of the most authoritative labels in the field right now.

Review: Palto Flats and Putojefe Records present the first ever reissue of a truly mysterious record from the experimental extreme of folk, drone and experimental dulcimer. Dorothy Carter only released a small handful of records, but Waillee Waillee has since attained a mythical status amongst those in the know. It's not hard to understand why from just one listen, as the lilting bed of zither and dulcimer forms a dense blanket of harmonious drone upon which Carter's voice soars with a choral serenity. It's stirring and spiritual, calling to mind the powerful effect of Laraaji's music but tipping more towards a folk tonality which makes the music entirely unique.

Review: The rather twee artwork of this album doesn't do the music justice (and anyway, back in those days it was standard practice as many albums used template covers as a way to cut costs of pressings.) Summer Brings The Sunshine is a glorious country rock album from the unwieldy location of Missouri which is where Jimmy Carter laid it down in amongst farmland. His own leads are backed by superb female backing singers, while his pedals do plenty of work and his feisty guitar licks make for some killer upbeat hooks. This is beautiful and cosmic American music that takes you stateside in an instant.

Review: In 2022, Cat Power, otherwise known as singer/songwriter/producer Chan Marshall, fully recreated Bob Dylan's legendary 1966 show at the Royal Albert Hall. In turn, Dylan's 1966 concert was the culmination of one of the most consequential tours in the history of rock & roll - when he electrified his songs, and by doing so enraged his devoted audience, who just had to catch up. Power's recollection of Dylan's radical re-rendering, now pressed to vinyl, hears her perform the songs in the same order as Dylan himself that night: the first half of the show being an acoustic set, not long before being joined by her electric band for the second half.

Review: In November 2022, Cat Power took the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall and delivered a song-for-song recreation of one of the most fabled and transformative live sets of all time. Held at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in May 1966 - but long known as the “Royal Albert Hall Concert” due to a mislabeled bootleg - the original performance saw Bob Dylan switching from acoustic to electric midway through the show, drawing ire from an audience of folk purists and forever altering the course of rock n' roll. In her own rendition of that historic night, the artist otherwise known as Chan Marshall inhabited each song with equal parts conviction and grace and a palpable sense of protectiveness, ultimately transposing the anarchic tension of Dylan’s set with a warm and luminous joy. Now captured on the live album Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, Marshall’s spellbinding performance both lovingly honors her hero’s imprint on history and brings a stunning new vitality to many of his most revered songs.

Review: It's remarkable to think that for all the technological leaps that have taken place throughout time, for every instance in which someone has picked up something and starting making a noise with it, then turned said object into a formalised instrument, the human voice remains the most startlingly powerful tool in the musical box. Those who don't agree clearly have never met Sheila Chandra.
The pioneering Asian singer is rightly considered one of the most important artists of her generation. The work she crates is highly accomplished, and can stop anyone dead in their tracks. Then there's the whole glass ceiling thing, with the England she was born into a very different place for people of Indian heritage than today. Weaving My Ancestor's Voice makes it clear just how incredible a talent she was (now retired due to medical issues), with this vocal-focused collection nothing short of mesmerising.

Review: Sheila Chandra's Zen Kiss, first released in 1994, was among the best examples of the British singer's many forays into contemporary international music. The twist is that most of the album is a simple yet striking a cappella, which plays out from start to finish, and is rarely accompanied by anything so much as a faint yet enchanting drone. With Chandra's interpreting songs from various cultures and traditions - including those of Indian, Spanish, Celtic, and medieval origin - she displays a remarkable vocal range in both pitch and stylistic breadth, ranging from the rhythmic to the ethereal and improvised.

Review: Solo is the operative word for Josienne Clarke. Kissing labels goodbye with preceding album, I Promised You Light, and leaving musical partners behind in the process, 2022 saw the artist step out with a bold confidence that seems at odds with the sound she's best known for. Not exactly nervous, but there's certainly always been an air of careful tread about her work.
That's no criticism. Through the use of understatement, from guitars that often form the focal point of her instrumental arrangements, to occasional piano keys and, for the most part, her own voice, she conveys a powerful sense of longing, yearning, and wanting. And yet there's always been an air of redemption and resilience in there, too. Onlines takes all those elements and heightens them, even upping the rockiness on numbers like the wonderfully raw and distorted 'Anyone But Me'.

Review: Realistically speaking, we could write essays for years on the joy of Leonard Cohen's music, poetry, attitude, and poignancy. Without question Canada's greatest gift to music, and the world (Bryan Adams withstanding), Songs of Love and Hate was the iconoclastic artist's third studio album and remains a pivotal work, albeit one that clearly showed global divisions.

Released in 1971, it would fail to make much impact on the US charts, reaching a paltry 145 on the Billboard 200, but in other regions it was a different story. UK and Australian fans bought enough of it to hit number 4 and 8 in their respective album charts. Many European countries also embraced the record. Quite what America's issue was we will never be sure of, although this is certainly Cohen at his all is lost, all is doomed, that's the way it goes best - gentile instrumentation meets soft bombshell songwriting

Review: The ninth album by English folk singer Shirley Collins, Archangel Hill, comes as a collection of traditional songs from England, Ireland, Scotland and America. Collins breathes fresh, reanimatory, magic vocal dust into the songs, with her distinctively breathy voice once more imbuing a collective energy into the English folk revival styles of the 1960s and 1970s... and now, perhaps, the 2020s. It's her debut for Domino, who describe Collins as one of the most important voices in the folk revival scene. Naturally, this means Collins' selections reflect her deep knowledge of folk song, with some tracks like 'Hares On The Mountain' widely known among the public, while others are sourced from close personal friends and relatives.

Review: The story of The Corrs speaks to all our romanticised images of how the music industry once worked. Recording demos in a makeshift home studio in Dundalk, Ireland, the familial group were playing a date at Whelan's, a Dublin bar with an enviable reputation for live music (the likes of Jeff Buckley, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party and Kate Nash have all graced the stage) at which Jean Kennedy Smith happened to be in attendance.

Then the US Ambassador to Ireland, she was so impressed with the band they were invited to perform at a FIFA World Cup 1994 match being held in Boston. Once Stateside, they met Atlantic's A&R, Jason Flom, and the rest is history. Forgiven Not Forgetten was our first taste of the outfit in full length form, and would cement their status as leading purveyors of soft rock cast in the Emerald Isle's image for the rest of the decade.

Enduring hits as 'Fortunate Son', 'Proud Mary' and 'Bad Moon Rising' all feature and the audio has been restored and mixed by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. As well as the album dropping, there is also a documentary concert film Travelin' Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall which has been narrated by Jeff Bridges and directed by Bob Smeaton. Well worth checking.

Review: The 50th anniversary of Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills & Nash gets marked with this specially celebratory reissue. It has been remastered for the occasion and comes with original artwork. Back when this one was released first in March 1970 by Atlantic Records, the record soon went on to top the pop album chart for a week and generated three Top 40 singles. These are the well known 'Woodstock', 'Teach Your Children', and 'Our House' while many other highlights also feature. A timeless classic for sure.

Review: In the mid-80s, Svitlana Okhrimenko, Oleksandr Kohanovs'kyi, and Tamila Mazur, students at the Reinhold Glier Kyiv Academy of Music, formed the foundation of Cukor Bila Smert. Their blend of music and camaraderie led to the addition of Eugene Taran, who further helped shape the band's vision. Dubbed Sugar - White Death, their ironic moniker challenged media sensationalism and amidst endless musical exploration, they crafted two albums in 1988 and 1989. The band's unique "sugar calypso sound" emerged, a blend of Kohanovs'kyi's music and lyrics by Okhrimenko and Taran. A significant studio session in 1990 yielded tracks featured on the Mannered Music compilation which sparked international interest. Their journey concluded in 1993 with the release of "Selo" by Koka Records, and now some of the best bits make it onto this new collection.

Review: You might not have heard about Spencer Cullum, but that doesn't mean this pedal steel maestro hasn't been at the top of his game - and hugely respected by a ton of major names - for years already. As with most of the best out there, he's plied a trade for ages as a session musician in one of the planet's sonic epicentres, Nashville. Working with the lines of Deer Tick, Caitlin Rose, and Kesha, to name but three. He's also one-half of the cosmic-country duo, Steelism. Despite those accolades, he's actually originally from London, and describes himself as "the guy who looks like he's studying for a test in the background." Clearly not just talented, but also humble and pretty witty, Spencer Cullum's Coin Collection might be the most anticipated folk album of the year. Reassuringly in the age of disappointments and nihilism, he doesn't let the side down, paying homage to the greats of the 1960s and 70s while offering something that sounds contemporary and entirely his own. Good enough to drown in, then.

Review: The Daily Flash originated in Seattle in 1965, and true to their name burned bright and fast for around three years before disbanding. Fronted by Steve Lalor and with Doug Hastings on guitar, it's also noticeable their drummer was Jon Keliehor, who has since had an accomplished career in ambient and experimental music. As a perfect embodiment of the original psychedelic wave when it was still relatively attached to 60s pop, The Daily Flash have been revisited in scattershot form over the years, but finally their outstanding archive of recordings has been gathered in one coherent compilation which covers their brief but brilliant tenure.

Review: Karen Dalton is one of the most mysterious and enigmatic but also influential artists of her time. Her 1971 album In My Own Time is a real masterpiece that Light In The Attic now presented on newly mastered vinyl. It was originally recorded over a six month time frame at Bearsville and was crafted by producer and musician Harvey Brooks, a key figure in rock-jazz having worked on Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited and Miles' Bitches Brew. It's a wild and vivid record with walking basslines and manic melodies topped off with the expressive vocals.

Review: Reissued again (following an initial 2009 run) via Light In The Attic, It's So Hard to Tell Who's Going to Love You The Best is the debut album by American folk blues musician Karen Dalton, originally released in 1969 by Capitol Records. The Native American singer made her mark on the seventies folk scene through a distinctly yearning sound, evoked through an unmistakable, tremolo'ing alto. On the album, her voice, exemplary of this, effortlessly pokes out from each quiet miasma of guitar, a template soon to be fleshed out by latter-day chart-toppers such as Lacy J. Dalton (whose name is a tribute) and Bob Dylan. Covering classics by Lead Belly, Fred Neil, and Tim Hardin, this is tender, one-of-a-kind country folk, with this edition coming as an all-analog version featuring remastered audio from the original Capitol masters.
