Condenser microphone for recording vocals, acoustic instruments and percussion
Notes: The Rode NT2000 is the world's first large diaphragm condenser studio microphone with seamlessly variable polar patterns, filter and pad located conveniently on the microphone body.
The NT2000's state of the art surface-mount electronics combined with the Australian designed and manufactured HF1 Capsule, provide extremely low self-noise (7 dBA) and a maximum SPL of 147 dB (157 dB with pad fully engaged) ensuring exceptional results and the ultimate in recording creativity.
Low mass, 2.5-micron aluminium ribbon microphone with bidirectional pickup pattern
Notes: Samson's VR88 Velocity Ribbon Microphone combines traditional ribbon technology with the precision and versatility of advanced active electronics. It's perfect for capturing warm, natural audio in a variety of live and studio applications, such as miking vocals, acoustic instruments, electric guitars and even overhead miking drums.
The VR88 features a low mass, 2.5-micron aluminium ribbon suspended within an intense neodymium field, producing a warm and natural response that is silky smooth from top to bottom. The microphone is equipped with a bidirectional (figure-8) pickup pattern with excellent off-axis rejection. The VR88's FET amplifier and transformer provide the high output and stabilized source impedance necessary for compatibility with any mic preamplifier. In addition, The VR88 produces a smooth, extended frequency response and is capable of handling high SPLs of up to 137dB, making it an excellent choice for miking vocals, acoustic instruments and even electric guitars.
The quality of the VR88 compares to the most highly regarded classic ribbon microphones found in top recording studios. For this reason, its rugged die cast constructed body, as well as a shockmount, comes in a protective carry case.
With a sharp new look and superior sound reproduction, the VR88 Velocity Ribbon Microphone represents Samson's commitment to bringing you the very best microphones.
The world's first dual-diaphragm dynamic handheld microphone with accurate & flat frequency response, minimising the need for processing
Notes: Achieving the sound quality demanded by elite performers and venues no longer requires sacrificing the rugged reliability of a dynamic microphone.
The KSM8 Dualdyne features a patented cartridge design with two ultra-thin diaphragms and groundbreaking reverse airflow technology.
Here are a few more of the technological advancements that make the KSM8 Dualdyne a game-changer in live sound:
- Unmatched control of proximity effect means a huge sweet spot
- Accurate, flat frequency response greatly minimises the need for EQ and processing
- Truest cardioid polar pattern available controls bleed for a more natural sound
77 Years in the Making:
The KSM8 Dualdyne. A dynamic microphone revolution that only Shure could stage.
- 1939: Shure develops Unidyne cartridge technology, which rejects sound from the rear of the microphone to reduce signal feedback.
- 1966: Shure advances dynamic cartridge technology with the Unidyne III cartridge in the SM58r, featuring the pneumatic shock mount, which drastically reduces handling noise.
- 2016: Shure Dualdyne cartridge technology provides unmatched sonic accuracy in a dynamic cartridge while all but eliminating proximity effect.
How it Works:
Lined with hydrophobic woven fabric for exceptional protection against wind, plosives and water, the KSM8 Dualdyne grille is durability redefined.
Protecting and stabilizing the active diaphragm during plosives and impact, the DSS greatly reduces high-frequency handling noise.
Controlled proximity effect vastly increases the working distance without on-axis coloration, delivering the most accurate frequency response available in a dynamic microphone.
An elaborate architecture of tuned cavities, specific resistances, and precisely machined components is fully integrated into the cartridge's acoustic properties, dramatically reducing handling noise without loss of low-end response.
Includes zipper bag, microphone clip, and user guide.
Shielded, selectable frequency response dynamic vocal microphone, comes with close-talk windscreen
Notes: The SM7B dynamic microphone has a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response appropriate for music and speech in all professional audio applications. It features excellent shielding against electromagnetic hum generated by computer monitors, neon lights, and other electrical devices.
The SM7B has been updated from earlier models with an improved bracket design that offers greater stability. In addition to its standard windscreen, it also includes the A7WS windscreen for close-talk applications.
The rugged construction and excellent cartridge protection makes it perfect for multiple uses and environments. Yoke mounting with captive stand nut for easy mounting and dismounting provides precise control of microphone position.
