Organic wavetable oscillator featuring scanned synthesis - 16HP
Notes: Scanned is an organic wavetable oscillator. It uses an unexplored technique known as Scanned Synthesis to animate wavetables that are created in real-time. This synthesis method was conceived by the father of computer music, Max Mathews, as the next paradigm in digital oscillators, and until now, has never been implemented on hardware.

The wavetables are dynamically generated from a set of "objects" tied together on a virtual string. These objects have physical properties including Mass, Stiffness, and Damping which affect the way that the string moves through space and time. Unlike physical modelling, however, this algorithm is a means of creating new electronic sounds, not replicating acoustic instruments.

To animate the waveform, the objects are morphed into the currently selected hammer shape and then released. This excitation of the sound generates evolving timbral landscapes that contain harmonic movement without external modulation. The hammer section also determines whether Scanned is a free-running oscillator, or a triggered sound source allowing it to function as a complete voice without additional filters or VCAs.

Planar vector joystick / quad panner synth module, 14HP wide
Notes: This has to be one of the most fun modules we have ever played with! With just a few audio and CV sources and some inter dependencies (i.e use the Joystick CV to simultaneously modify the signals being processed by the VCAs) you quickly get highly complex sounds that you can easily control and play with.

This input is also very useful when coordinated with a CV recorder. You can record the modulation from the X, Y outputs and then turn the joystick off (see switch at top left) and playback the modulation into the X and Y input.

This will allow you to recreate a complex quad panning or vector mixing jam.

Bass & drum synthesiser voice module - 14HP
Notes: The Entity Bass Drum is a complete and versatile synthesizer voice geared for designing a huge array of bass drum, percussive and synth sounds. Finally, a truly deep tool for creating analog bass drum, bass lines and other percussive effects is here!

The design consists of a high fidelity resonant filter, 2 stage slope generator (rise/fall) with independent slope shaping, a high fidelity VCA and discrete transistor saturation circuitry. Every parameter on the Entity Bass drum is voltage controllable.

By applying a trigger of any length and at least 2V amplitude, we excite the resonant filter to produce a percussive sine wave. The pitch control tunes the output with a range of 8Hz to around 2.2KHz. Both higher and lower levels are achievable using the FM input for modulation etc. The internal filter will track 3-4 octaves reliably and the tracking device is temperature compensated.

The slope generator (ENV) can be switched into the circuit via the 3 way switch below the FM LVL control. This control is a bipolar attenuator which affects the level of the slope generator and/or external modulator that affects the pitch of the output.
The 3 way switch selects FM, FM+ENV or just ENV as a mod source.

The rise/fall envelope is a two stage function generator. The controls provide slope timing from 1ms to about a minute. To the right of these controls is the shaping section where logarithmic, linear and exponential slope shapes are selected independently for the two envelope stages.

The envelope is designed to re-trigger at a set point. This allows for changing dynamics to occur to pitch and amplitude when the slope times are greater than the output transient time. For instance the sound can vary between any number of triggers that fire before the envelope set point is reached. Setting the slope time fast enough (below roughly 1 o'clock) provides for nominal operation. Settings will vary depending on trigger and ring decay timing.

The envelope can also be used exclusively or in a more complex patch via a direct +ENV output. Additionally, a novel DUCK output provides a means to control external VCAs - to work like slow compressors. DUCK is an inverted and positively offset version of the +ENV out. This keeps VCAs open when the envelope is off and effectively 'ducks' the VCA when the envelope fires. Of course, mod sources for these outputs are not limited to VCAs...

BODY is a subtle, yet novel control. This control simulates the tightness of a drum head. All the way tight, we get a softer and somewhat muted sound, to the right we achieve a more flabby sound. The middle region is the sweet spot for a nearly perfect resonant drum. BODY can have a greater effect depending on the other parameters and can be very useful for fine tuning the sound in a mix and designing original drum sounds.

RING controls the resonant decay time. Both short and plucky and an infinite ring are obtainable. The filter is tuned so that it will always resonate a little, even when RING control is all the way down.

Before the output section, we have the discrete transistor saturation. We like this because of the vintage low end distortion from overdriven class-A discrete amplifiers. This one is tuned a bit more aggressively and just a touch is necessary to add some bite. However, you can go over the top and get brutal if you so desire... ;-)
The saturator will overdrive the output stage for more of a hard clipping effect that can be tuned out by adjusting the output level control without sacrificing signal amplitude - its a hot signal by intention.

The OUTPUT section is a parallel signal processor design. The OUTPUT control blends the nominal output with a secondary input (or nothing) depending on the 2 way switch setting below the control and/or whether an external signal is patched into the AMP CV input. In 'AMP' mode, the OUTPUT control works like a volume control. If a signal is active on the AMP CV input, the control will blend between the nominal output and the CV control level. Similarly, in 'ENV' mode we get the same blending action using the internal envelope.

The VCA can also be accessed directly via the A-MIX input. This allows you to use the output section as a standalone VCA (modulated via the envelope or not) or to mix other sounds with the Entity. Feedback patching is a possibility using a stackable or mult to feed the output into the A-MIX input. This produces a juicy distortion effect of a different flavour, you may like it.

The filter can be used independently or in combination with the nominal output via the F-MIX input. This input is used as an aux trigger input that is sensitive to pulse/trigger width. As the effect is less dramatic than the main trigger, dynamic rhythms are achievable using both inputs and creative triggering.

Bass line generator with a rhythmic chord section
Notes: The Arpopone from LepLoop is a little synthesizer for generating a melody or bass line and a chord section at the same time. It is based on analog ramp dividers of which each one generates a voltage ramp starting from a master clock that can be internal or external.

Trig1 and Trig2 potentiometers set the number of clock pulses.

With the Trig Mix switch it is possible to select between a single trigger (1 or 2) or both (1+2) to advance the scales.

The Scale Step potentiometer sets the number of steps for the two scale generators.
In the mixer section, the two scales are summed together to obtain a more complex pattern. The amount of each scale can be set by two controls and can be positive (ascending scale) or negative (descending scale).

With the VCO Pitch knob, the melody can be transposed while maintaining the same interval between notes.

The note generated by the VCO is fed to a chain of dividers to obtain four sub harmonics of the original note. One of these is the bass section with its own filter and envelope, the other three form the chord section with their envelope.

The two envelope sections are identical, both have a selector for different trigger sources:

Trig1 & Trig2: The envelope starts at the flash of the green LED (bass) or yellow LED (chord)
SB1 & SB2: The envelope starts at the first step of Scale1 (bass) or Scale2 (chord)
White & Blue: The envelope follows the intensity of the white LED (bass) or the blue LED (chord). Except for this setting the envelope length is set by the two controls Bass ENV and Chord ENV. Additionally, an EXT CV input allows to provide an external envelope.
The bass channel is passed through a resonant low-pass filter with Cutoff and Resonance control.

Finally the Bass and Chord channels are mixed together. The output level is set by the Bass LEV and Chord LEV controls.

Two outputs jacks are available: the mono OUT jack on the back panel and the STEREO jack on the front panel, useful for listening with headphones and for separate channel output.

Powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module featuring American military grade low-noise tubes
Notes: Strakal Orsel is a powerful, hand-wired tube distortion module. As known from other Touell Skouarn circuits, all sockets and control elements have Breton names. (Except for the audio input and output, which are marked with arrows.)

Triodenn (switch) - Here, you can choose between pentode and triode operation for the left tube. Thus, this switch varies the basic sound character.

Boukl Retroaktin (switch/knob) - The switch activates the feedback path. With the potentiometer, you can vary the feedback intensity. High values lead to screaming self-oscillation. At low settings, signals are nicely thickened.

Gounid (knob) - This potentiometer is used for determining the level between the first and the second tube stage.

Ampled (knob) - For setting the degree of distortion. How hardcore would you like your sound to be?

Enklas Modulan (socket) - CV input for influencing the feedback respectively volume. (It works even without the feedback being active.)

Without an input signal, but with wide open feedback, the Strakal Orsel can be used as a beefy effect oscillator. Using its CV input, the pitch can be varied. There is no accurate pitch tracking according to the standard 1 v/octave, though. If you now deactivate the feedback and dial in the right volume and distortion settings, you can enjoy the Orsel's noise floor in its purest form. In other words, the module will emit charming tube noise. Operation as a crude VCA is possible as well.

4-channel CV recorder, looper & lo-fi sampler - 14HP
Notes: Four-channel recorder/looper for recording and playing back control voltages or potentiometer movements in a very wide frequency range, from very slow to fast. The output is a smoothed voltage without audible increments due to an algorithm with 16 bit resolution.

Synchronization via clock or MIDI and "punch-in" recordings are possible. The recording time per channel is up to one hour (such us MIDI clock) independent of selected sync mode.

Four independent channels are used for recording control voltages from analogue sequencers, LFOs, envelope generators, joysticks as well as potentiometer movements. It's possible to record/playback CVs in 16 Bit resolution either in the -5V to +5V range or from 0V to +10V. You can set the range individually for each channel.

SOURCE determines the record source. This can be the CV input, the potentiometer or both. ZOOM is a two stage fine adjust function of the control ruler.

Playing back the tracks can happen manually, via a Trigger, a Gate or via MIDI Start/Stop. Following modes are possible: LOOP, SINGLE (one shot), GATE (gated playback) and SCAN (CV scanning). Using the SCAN mode, the recorded sample can be scanned via CV input or the pot of the channel. It is possible to manually play the track velocity and direction (feasible effects: reverse, randomized, stuttering).

There are a number of possibilities to manipulate track playback. After the recording you can change the START point, end point (LENGTH) and playback SPEED or determine if the loop is set with the CVs or pots.

Using the LINK function, it is possible to group channels for multitrack or joystick recording: ALL allows for using all four channels individually. In DUAL mode tracks are grouped in sets of two or four tracks at any one time (e.g. for simultaneous recording of X and Y axes of a joystick).

Synchronization via clock or MIDI and "punch-in" recordings are possible with individual settings per track and with automatic detection of the clock frequency (number of clocks per quarter). When synchronising to MIDI Clock (96 pulses per bar) you can record up to one hour. The HARD/SOFT setting uses different levels for the CV interpolation in Clock/MIDI sync mode.

Dual envelope generator synthesiser module - 20HP wide
Notes: The Pingable Envelope Generator (PEG) from 4ms is a dual envelope generator whose envelope lengths are set by incoming clocks or "pings".

The PEG has full CV control of envelope shape, skew, and ping (clock) division/multiplication, as well as a plethora of triggering and cycling options (AD, AR, quantization, cycle), and a tap tempo button for each channel.

Scaling/shifting:
- Scale knob is an attenuating inverter for main envelope output (Maximum 0V to +10V non-inverted, and Minimum -10V to 0V inverted).
- Bi-polar button centers main envelope output around 0V (-5V to +5V output)
- "+5V ENV" jack is a non-scaling output that always produces a 0V to +5V envelope, regardless of Scale and Bi-polar settings
- "OR" jack outputs an analog OR of the two scaled envelope curves. This outputs the highest value from either envelope at any given moment, taking into account the Scale and Bi-polar controls.

Gate outputs:
- End-of-Rise (EOR) gate output goes high when envelope finishes a rise portion, and goes low when envelope begins a rise portion
- End-of-Fall (EOF) gate output goes high when envelope finishes a fall portion, and goes low when envelope begins a fall portion
- Jumper for each channel changes EOR output to a Half-Rise gate output. The Half-Rise jack goes high when 50% of the time of the rise portion has elapsed, and goes low after 50% of the time of the fall portion. Using the Skew parameter, this jack provides a variable phase gate output useful for quadrature effects and clock phase shifting and trigger delay effects. Factory setting is EOR for red channel, Half-Rise for blue channel.

Triggering/cycling:
- Cycle button for each channel forces envelope to self-cycle in sync with the ping clock (LFO mode). Button lights up when in cycle mode.
- "T" jack toggles the state of both channels' Cycle button when a gate is applied
- "QNT" jack for each channel triggers an envelope to start at the next quantized beat, with respect to the divided/multiplied ping clock. Holding a gate high on this jack causes the envelope to repeat.
- "Async" jack for each channel causes an envelope to output immediately (asynchronously). Holding a gate high results in an AR envelope (rise-sustain-fall). If cycle mode is enabled, the envelope will continue to cycle at this new phase with respect to the ping clock. Phase can be reset to being in sync with the ping clock by pressing the cycle button or applying a pulse to the QNT jack.

CV input jacks:
- CV control of Ping Div/Mult, Skew, and Curve using the CV jacks. Respective knobs set the center offset for the applied CV
- CV of 0-10V will modulate the parameter's full range However, a 0-5V CV will modulate the parameter within a very useful range.

The VCAs will amplify the input signal very accurately and it will sound crystal clear, without any coloration, distortion or bleed. Each channel has a Gain potentiometer for manually setting the VCA's initial gain and a control voltage input which is equipped with an attenuverter for scaling the modulation.

Thanks to normalized signal and CV inputs, both VCAs can be used in conjunction - great for processing stereo material. Furthermore, you can create voltage controlled panning effects and crossfades in next to no time. Beside the two individual audio outputs from each VCA, there is a Sum-output which provides the mix of the output of both VCAs and of the signal coming from the Aux-input. This additional input has no level control and is mixed at unity gain. Thus three different signals can be mixed together.

The Malekko Richter series in Eurorack modular format offers the same great sound, ergonomics, musicality, and quality that made the Wiard 300 series legendary, at a fraction of the cost and size.

The Dual Borg contains one Borg I (left side) and one Borg II (right side). These are two different filters, each with their own character. They do not sound the same nor react the same way to your inputs. The Dual Borg is a versatile audio processor and the concept comes from a marriage of two divergent influences: the Buchla 292 Low Pass Gate and the Korg MS20 filter.

The Borg Filter is different from most filters in that it, at its heart, is a vactrol. Vactrols are combination light sensor/light resistors that possess interesting sonic traits. Often described as "rubbery" or smooth in quality, vactrols are also known for their relatively slow response. This response creates a natural, very musical decay. As a low pass gate (frequency mode), the Borg will act as a filter and a VCA simultaneously. In combination with the characteristic vactrol response, this creates a signature sound that is desired by many synth enthusiasts, especially when used with very short, percussive patches.

But the Borg is no one-trick pony, and low pass gates are not for every patch. When in frequency mode, the Borg is a 12db filter with loads of personality. Gorgeous resonance (influenced by the MS20 and shaped by the vactrol design) swells from subtle warmth to a roaring howl that is unique to the Borg! For entering VCA mode, the new push button VCA switches allow instant changeover between modes- great for performances!

A continuously adjustable low pass to high pass control is provided (a notch filter is a mix of these two). Each filter has one audio input and two CV frequency inputs (one with attenuation). Two separate outputs are provided, and output 2 has a slightly more aggressive resonance. Removing either jumper on the back of the filter will make the resonance "scream" even more! The jumper behind the Borg I effects the Borg I's resonance, and the jumper behind the Borg II changes the Borg II's resonance.

The Borg I (left side) has a slower response and a more mellow sound compared to the Borg II (right side). Thanks to its longer decay time, the Borg I is best for recreating the famous Buchla bongo patch, and the Borg II is best for a faster, more aggressive response.

The signal path of the Dual Borg is selectable: Series or Parallel.
- In Series mode, when you plug into either in 1 or in 2, or even both inputs (as a mix), the signal is routed through the Borg I then Borg II filters and both out 1 or out 2 have the same signal. If you are connected to both outputs, you will only get signal from out 2.
- In Parallel mode, a single input into in 1 or in 2 is routed through both filters side by side, and a single output (either out 1 or out 2) will give you a mix of both filters. If you have only one input but two outputs, out 1 is the Borg I filter only and out 2 is Borg II only. If you have two inputs and two outputs, then each filter is completely separate: in 1 and out 1 is Borg I, in 2 and out 2 is Borg II. To use only one filter, you must patch into both outputs then choose which filter's output you want to hear.

Quadrature sine wave VCO/state variable filter - 18HP
Notes: The SPIN section is a quadrature sine wave oscillator. The GRIND section compares each phase against the input signal, then subtracts the resulting square waves from the input signal. If the spin section is either damped enough or enough signal is fed into it from the GRIND section then it will stop oscillating and become a state variable filter.

The Angle Grinder tracks volts per octave and can be used as a sine wave oscillator with voltage control over harmonic content available at the GRIND OUT. With no input it's four phase related sine outputs (0, 90, 180, and 27 degrees) remain clean from 0.1Hz to over 20kHz and are suitable for quad panning or XY applications.

Eurorack complex time-woven filter matrix
Notes: The T-Rackonizer transforms timely events into an analog feedbacked filter network.

The T-Rackonizer is the eurorack successor of our very sucessful T-Resonator which did very well over the past 7 years. It has been the least possible implementation of the former experimental filter network synthesizer called „Resonator Neuronium". The number of 6 nodes had been reduced to only two filter nodes - but still this structure offers a tremendous variety of sounds. The module contains 2 analog T-ladder moog-like filters and a digital delay. Not only can these two filters being controlled by cutoff and resonance - they can be feedbacked negatively or positively to itself or even across the partner filter by the mix knobs. Also they can be feedbacked across a digital delay/reverb chip which is literally woven into the signal path.

On the T-Rackonizer, the feedback and cutoff controls can be CV-controlled. Once you insert a CV cable into the CV jacks, the corresponding internal control knob (e. g. Cutoff) acts as an amount to the external CV. Without CV input, the control knobs work across the internal range. The filters are made from discreete parts and form a 24 dB pole lowpass filter transistor cascade. You can select 8 different algorithms, each with different delays, wave guides or structures and different feedbacks and modulate them even with an LFO.

Delays reach from less than a millisecond to 1 second, range and structure is depending on the algorithm. These capabilities let you create evolving analog tape echoes, "klingon parties" by extremely feedbacked wave guide algorithm and much more. By the analog feedback everything sounds organic. The screaming analog feedbacks can delay themselves and thereby form new sound patterns. The sine LFO gets retriggered by the audio signal and can be shaped with the audio envelope or just run alone. In center position the amount is 0, to the left it's envelope-shaped LFO, to the right it's only LFO.

Incredible bass gains or screaming scratch sounds are no problem. Positive feedbacks create distorting bass enhancements or low feedback tones without applying a signal. The mix pots are zeroed in center position; any other angle will couple or feedback negatively or positively. The external CV inputs work from 0 to 5 volts. At maximum amount (corresponding control knob open fully clockwise), a voltage of 2.5 volts represents the center position of the control. This is very useful for usage with most of the external CV sequencers available. The input has an adjustable gain and a Hi-Z input to plug in a guitar directly. Any line level signal can be processed, be it either mono or stereo.

Notes: The WMD Overseer is a stereo filter inspired by those commonly found on DJ mixers and DJ software. It features two filters on one knob, stereo ins and outs, bypass switch, and a fun stereo "Tilt" function which offsets the filter cut-off frequency across the stereo field creating some dizzying stereo effects.

Controls:

- Bypass Switch: Turns the filter on and off. LED will be red when the filter is engaged. Toggles on button release.
- Filter Cut-off Knob (the big one): Turn Left for Low-Pass filtering and Right for High-Pass filtering. No filtering in the middle. Becomes offset with CV.
- Filter Cut-off Switch: Switched to the left limits both filters to audible frequencies so you cannot accidentally filter out all signal. Switched to the right disables the limit allowing you to filter the signal into oblivion.
- Resonance knob: Controls the amount of frequency boost at the cut-off point. Will not self-oscillate. Knob becomes offset with CV.

- Tilt Switch: Allows you to apply the Tilt function to either or both HP and LP. Left for LP, right for HP, centre for both.
- HP - LP Knobs: Attenuverters for incoming CV over the filters.
- HP - LP Switch: Switch to the right sends 5V to the HP - LP knobs and turns them into independent controls for the cut-off frequency of both filters, allowing you to control both filters at the same time with these independent knobs.

Anything is a Drum:
Traditionally, patching up a modular drum kit was constrained by the amount of envelope and VCA modules in a system, restricting the number and complexity of percussion voices in most systems. Another option was to use dedicated drum modules that offer a limited sonic palate and few modulation options. The Lifeforms Percussion Sequencer breaks through these barriers by including a percussion tuned analog envelope and VCA on each channel. Patching anything from a basic sine wave to heavily modulated and processed noise sources through the Lifeforms Percussion Sequencer will quickly create a distinctive drum kit that takes full sonic advantage of the unique synthesis options available in any system.

The Mind of a Modern Drum Machine:
At the heart of the module is a 4 channel, 32 step beat sequencer designed for live performance. Seamlessly move around the module tweaking patterns and effects without ever stopping the beat. Create and store up to 32 sequences using live performance or step mode recording with pattern lengths varying from 1 to 32 steps. Patterns can be copy and pasted to easily create multiple versions of a beat. The sequencer is driven by an internal tap tempo or external clock source. A dedicated clock in/out jack syncs the sequencer with other modules.

Four Integrated Analog Envelopes and VCAs:
Instead of limiting the drums to a few onboard voices or lo-fi samples, the Lifeforms Percussion Sequencer uses an analog envelope and VCA built into each channel to shape any audio source into a percussive instrument. The envelopes are designed with a razor sharp attack and variable decay/release allowing for maximum control over the output of each channel. The envelopes can also be used externally. A short envelope creates a trigger while longer envelopes can be used as a modulation source for oscillators, filters, or anything at all.

6 Adjustable Pattern Effects:
The Lifeforms Percussion Sequencer includes 6 unique pattern effects to expand the musical possibilities of traditional grid style beat programming. Effects include everything from swing and beat shifters to glitch and generative algorithms designed to manipulate the sequencer pattern. Each channel can run a unique instance of one pattern effect at a time. A master pattern effect channel is also available that affects all 4 channels of the sequencer. The combination of the channel effect and the master effect allows for up to two effects at a time on each channel. Each effect has one parameter that can be adjusted to dial in the perfect response.

- Shift Effect
Delays the trigger output of a channel by small divisions of the tempo. Use this effect to create half-step or stutter-step drum triggers. Effect knob controls the amount of channel shift. The range of shift is 1/8th to 7/8ths of a beat.

- Glitch Effect
Probability based glitch effect that creates chaotic gates based on a cascading chance algorithm. The resulting patterns are always in sync with some division of the clock, allowing for stuttering but not disjointed patterns. The probability is set using the effect knob. The range of the glitch effect is minimal to absolute chaos.

- Density Effect
Sets the number and timing of triggers created for each active step. The result can be anything from a doubling of the trigger to a rolling effect. The effect knob controls the trigger density.

- Morph Effect
Create evolving patterns. The morph effect is a probability based algorithm that modifies an existing pattern by adding or removing active steps. The effect knob sets the probability that the pattern will morph.

- Swing Effect
A classic drum machine effect meant to mimic the feel of a real drummer by shifting the timing of every other step. The effect knob controls the amount of swing.

- Add/Drop Effect
Temporarily add or drop steps from a pattern. The results are similar to the morph effect but changes to the pattern are not compounded as the pattern plays allowing the resulting pattern to stay anchored to the original sequence. The effect knob sets the probability that a step will be modified.

Yarns provides 4 CV outputs and 4 Gate/trigger outputs, which can be assigned to up to 4 voices. In single voice mode, note, velocity, modulation and aftertouch (or other CC) CV are produced, along with a gate, a trigger, and a clock/reset output. In two voices mode, two channel of note, modulation or aftertouch CV are produced, along with two gates, and clock/reset outputs. The 2 and 4-voice modes are available both in a "polyphonic" and "multitimbral" flavour. Complex 12-stage phase shifter with separate in- and outputs for all phaser stages
Notes: Module A-101-3 is a 12-stage phase shifter with vactrols as phase shifting elements. Vactrols are known for their smooth sound behaviour. In contrast to other phaser designs, the A-101-3 is much more flexible and offering a lot of new features not available from other phasers on the market. The main difference is that the Doepfer design offers access to each of the 12 input and output stages leading to a lot of new filters that cannot be obtained in other ways. Especially the free patchable feedback loops (yes, not only one feedback loop is possible) between each of the 12 stages, the separate phase shift control for the stages 1-6 and 7-12, and the 2 polarizers intended to control the feedback loops lead to completely new filter types (a polarizer is a circuit that is able to generate positive and negative amplifications in the range -1...0...+1 with -1 = inversion, 0 = full attenuation, +1 = unchanged signal, for details concerning the polarizer function please look at the A-133 VC Polarizer or A-138c Polarizing Mixer module).

Internally, the module is made of 2 independent 6 stage phase shifters (1-6 reps. 7-12) with separate audio inputs (with attenuators), audio outputs (with mix control), and phase shift control units. The phase shift control units feature both manual and voltage-controlled phase shifting (e.g. from a LFO, ADSR, Random Voltage, Theremin CV, Foot Controller CV ...). For each sub-module a phase shift display (LED) is available. The LED shows the illumination state of the 6 vactrols of the sub-module in question as it is connected in series with the internal vactrol LEDs.

Each of the 12 phase shift states is equipped with an audio output socket and feedback input socket to obtain full flexibility to create a multitude of different filters. The audio input signal and the output signals of stage 6 resp. stage 12 are mixed with 2 manual controls to obtain effects at two audio outputs (for normal phase shifting effect this is 50% input signal and 50% phase shifted signal). The two submodules are internally connected via normalized sockets so that two 6 stage phase shifters can be obtained without external patches. Audio output of stage 6 is normalized to audio input of stage 7 and CV input 1-6 is normalized to CV input 7-12. But due to the open structure of the module even other stages than stage 6 and stage 12 can be used as outputs to generate different sounds (simply patch the desired stage output to the normalized mix input socket).
