ACS Pacato 16 Reusable High Fidelity Hearing Protectors Earplugs
Cat: 736584 Rel: 01 Jul 19

Filtered earplugs that let you enjoy and feel the music
Notes: Pacato from ACS brings a whole new level of fidelity and comfort to ready-to-go earplugs.

Now with new packaging and contents, designed to reduce waste and single use plastic.

The Pacato plug is comfortable, completely discreet and offers the most natural sound of any generic fit earplug in its class. With Pacato you can hear what you need to hear with all the clarity that you're used to and easily converse and communicate without putting your hearing at risk.

The Pacato is one of the most discreet universal-fit plugs available with a flush fitting filter that enables the plug to sit comfortably in the ear with no protrusion making them ideal for use under headwear or in any situation where discretion for the wearer is desired.

Offering an average of 16dB protection the Pacato is suitable for use in most amplified music or other loud noise environments keeping your hearing safe from damaging exposure to excessive noise but ensuring that you stay involved in the performance. Using Pacato earplugs you can enjoy your music at a level that suits you without losing the fidelity of the sound as you might with foam earplugs, in addition, the Pacato keeps all the atmosphere allowing you to hear what's going on around you and communicate clearly with others so you don't have to feel isolated from the music, the atmosphere or the people to keep your hearing safe from harm.

Trying to create a natural sounding earplug is no mean feat as far as your own voice is concerned because, as you will have experienced, when you block off your ear canal your own voice starts to boom inside your head, this is what we call occlusion. Occlusion is caused by sound that is carried to your ear canal through the cartilage at the side of your head and usually escapes through the open ear canal so is not heard. When we block off the canal this sound cannot escape and so creates that booming effect.

A large amount of occlusion can be eliminated by ensuring that the earplug sits deep enough into the ear canal to extend past the cartilage so that the sound hits the plug and is deadened rather than entering the canal at all but the Pacato filters go one step further. The Pacato is vented to allow sound to pass both ways which means that remaining sound can escape directly through the filter providing one of the most natural sounding earplugs available.

The Pacato also offers resilience to moisture and wax build up. Being shielded from external moisture with the hard outer shell means that the fabric filter membrane is protected from the elements so your earplug will keep on performing in adverse conditions but, in addition, the filters and plugs can be cleaned to keep them performing for years to come.

The Pacato plugs from ACS offer a perfect cost-effective solution to protect your hearing in a variety of environments whilst making sure that you get one of the most natural sounding earplugs available.

Alpine Party Plug Silver Hearing Protection Earplugs
Cat: 671628 Rel: 08 Feb 18

High quality, comfortable earplugs featuring Alpine Acoustic Filters - silver
Notes: Winner Red Dot Award 2015:
Alpine Hearing Protection has won the Red Dot Award 2015 for the design of its latest earplugs. The jury of this prestigious design price applauded the "high quality and the innovative ability" of the earplugs.

Revolutionary earplug model:
Twenty years of experience have allowed Alpine to develop a revolutionary new earplug model with a noise filter, that filters out damaging sounds. The extremely well thought-out and extensively tested shape of the earplugs, provides a perfect fit.

AlpineAcousticFilters - No more ringing in your ears:
The high quality acoustic filters in PartyPlugs hearing protection reduce the volume of music to a safe level. Your music experience as well as the sound quality of the music remains very good. Naturally, you can keep talking to your friends. By wearing PartyPlug earplugs when you go out, you prevent that irritating high pitch noise in your ears. Besides, the earplugs are barely visible thanks to the unique transparent filters.

AlpineThermoShape material - Very comfortable:
PartyPlug hearing protectors are made of special AlpineThermoShape material. This material adapts to the shape of the ears so that you always have the perfect level of noise attenuation. They are also very comfortable to wear. There is no sense of isolation or external pressure on your ears. AlpineThermoShape is hypoallergenic. This means you will not experience itching in or around your ears, as is often the case with silicone earplugs: you can wear Alpine PartyPlugs the entire night.

Choose your own colour:
You want to look good when you go out and you do not want your earplugs to be visible to everyone from a distance. You set a good example and you are proud of this. Just as well Alpine has ensured the earplugs are barely visible in your ears thanks to the transparent filters. PartyPlug earplugs are available in four colours. In addition to the barely visible transparent version, you can choose trendy black earplugs, glossy silver grey, or bright white. Whatever suits your style.

Alpine Miniboxx:
In addition to a practical storage container, every PartyPlug pack also contains an easy to use Alpine Miniboxx. You can take this ideal mini storage container with you when you go out and you can open it with one hand (while holding a pint in the other...). The Miniboxx easily fits into your trouser pocket, handbag, bra, or sock.

Lifespan and cleaning:
The lifespan of the earplugs depends on frequency of use. Keeping the earplugs clean will extend the lifespan. The earplugs can be cleaned with lukewarm water and soap.

Dutch Design:
The design of the Alpine hearing protectors is an exclusive Dutch Design. All earplugs and filter systems are produced in the Netherlands.

Packaging contents:
- Two universal thermoplastic hearing protectors
- Two acoustic filters

Cat: 418411 Rel: 14 Feb 11

without leash, around 20 dB sound reduction, medium
Notes: Use these laboratory derived data for comparison purposes only. The amount of protection afforded in field use is often significantly different, depending on how the protectors are fitted and worn.

With a properly fitted set of vented Doc's Proplugs, you can protect against high-frequency hearing loss.

Musicians, light industry workers and in-cabin flight attendants find Doc's ProPlugs useful in protecting against hearing loss. This group needs protection from dangerous moderately loud high frequencies, yet they also need to hear verbal communications, machinery's functional sounds, and music with clarity.

Musicians and listeners must hear the fidelity of the original sound. This type of moderate protector will have a much lower noise reduction rating than do protectors for maximum attenuation including bass, such as conventional foam insertion plugs, fully sealed custom earmolds or muff type hearing protectors, The duration of exposure also plays an important role. The longer the exposure to loud sound the more likely is there to be damage to the ear. Doc's ProPlug attenuates about 20dB across the high frequencies from 2000 to 8000 Hz. Rock concerts produce approximately i20 dB. The ear tolerates a noise level of 120dB for about 2 hours protected by 20 dB attenuation in the high frequencies. To know the sound pressure levels of environmental noise use a sound level meter available at most electronic suppliers.

Note: The EPA requires labeling of Noise Reduction Rating (NRR), as the measure of a hearing protector's noise reducing capabilities. DOC'S PROPLUG non-vented model has a rating of 7. The vented model has a low NRR of 2. The results of attenuation tests of bass frequencies (125-1000 Hz) are included in the American Standards Institute (ANSI) calculations. As the bass frequencies are very little attenuated by DOC'S PROPLUGS, then the NRR is very low. The level of noise entering a person's ear when a hearing protector is worn as directed is approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. For example, if the environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92dB and the NRR is 2, then the level of noise entering the ear is 90dBA.

Caution:For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire.
