The Fundamentalist (9:11)
Another Story (7:39)
Review: Pow! Bristolian don Krust returns. Gracing a new Tempo series Speed, he comes bearing two heavyweight techno-inspired bulldozers. "Fundamentalist" is all about the rhythmic stabs and off-beat waves. A real tension riser with a sudden mood switch midway. "Another Story" is a dubbier affair, steppy in the drum department with big synthy washes. Rooted but rebooted for the paranoid age: Krust never fails.

Mango & MathMan - "Lonely Night" (feat Loah - Zero T vocal mix) (5:13)
Zero T - "Moments Fade" (feat Steo) (4:31)
Zero T - "I Want More" (4:32)
Zero T & Myth - "Clash" (4:12)
Review: 2020 has been a toilet for us all but the sounds of Zero T on labels like Sofa Sound and Metalheadz has been a much needed silver lining. Upping his consistency even more than usual, every release is pure gold... Especially this new one on Lenzman's The North Quarter. "Lonely Night" sets the tone as he remixes Mango & Mathman with soulful style before linking up with old friend Steo for the piano-tickling "Moments Fade". Meanwhile on the B things get much darker and dancefloor-focused; "I Want More" is Zero T is total gully mode while "Clash" is the dubby roller of the set. All flavours, all vibes, one essential 12".

Jahganaut & Duburban - "Gotta Get Next To You" (5:50)
Jules Elipse - "Who's The Bad Man" (5:11)
Review: Oh. Our. Gosh. Myor always deliver but for this one they've gone extra ballistic. Two tunes, two sides, two reasons to think 2020 is actually going to end up okay... Old friends Jahganaut and Duburban take the lead with a crucial bootleg / heavy sample business (completely with some insane breakbeats) while Jules Elipse takes a very well known rave classic and bads it up for the dark and pranged out 20s. Massiv by name, elephantine by nature. Hand stamped, too - these won't hang around.

Feel So Real (5:51)
Review: Sometimes all you need are "Two Twelve Tens". Obviously a mixer would be necessary to complete the party set but we're going to assume Hyperkinetic has already got one of them. They've already got the tunes, clearly... Four gigantic slabs of classic old school energy laced with classic samples galore, this one is a bulging bag of pure rave energy that would appeal to ravers aged both 50 and 15. Highlights include the RAF pitched up vocal and epic pianos of "We've Got To Rave Together" and the sweet positivity of "Hold It Together". Come together.

Review: Hello! Lavery's rave guise Puffin Billy returns to the fray with two walloping hardcore tear-ups. Two sides, two classic games of 'spot the samples', one billion vibes; from the euphoric pianos to the bubbly bass to the rampant breaks to the cheeky vocal shots, everything about these records scream hardcore authenticity. Side A for the happy crew, side B for the moodier the crew (who are actually just as happy but like to hear some gully sounds before the pianos get brazen) Puff puff!!

Review: The God of Discogs returns to Vivid... And this time it's soggy. As always with the Wetster, there's a handsome collection of sounds across the 12" as we run through some of jungle's finest ingredients. Highlights include the immense breakcraft and dubby washes of "Ride Snoop", the Detroit influences and shimmering depths of "Focus Is" and the immense space and delicious weirdness of "Lagoon Dub". All proceeds go to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Persian - "Questions" (edit 5) (4:02)
Lone Wolf Persian (5:50)
Lone Wolf Persian (dub) (5:21)
Review: Feeling full to bursting with nostalgia and an overwhelming desire to get dancefloors moving, Existence is Resistance main man Peter Riley AKA Person returns to action with more bass-heavy heaters. He begins by joining forces with DJ Texta on the weighty, skippy and organ-flecked speed garage revivalism of "Play It Deejay (Dub Mix)", before wrapping cymbal-heavy hardcore breakbeats in psychedelic acid lines, trippy vocal samples and deep space chords on "Questions (Edit 5)". Over on side B, he delivers a deliciously eccentric blend of infant spoken word vocals, bustling breakbeats, moody noises and ear-pleasing melodic elements on "Lone Wolf Persian". A slightly more spaced-out, vocal-free Dub mix completes a tasteful and tidy package.

Deep Within There Is Nothing (5:09)
Awkward Demise (6:34)
Review: Some folk are widow makers. Other folk are widow made. Bad to bone types who dish out breaks so brutal they should come with a medical health warning. Not that you'd pay much attention to it; beats like these are too good to miss out, regardless of health. Courtesy of Dead Man's Chest's Western Lore, it's four tracks of total rave annihilation; the bubble gun basslines of "Television", the icy unforgiveness of "The Kingdom", the prangy hardcore steps and swampy weirdness of "Deep Within There Is Nothing" and the dark finale "Awkward Demise". Some records are party starters. Other records are party made. Badness.
