Review: Following up appearances by veterans such as Josh Wink, Hardfloor and Acid Rain (Milton Bradley), Dame Music takes no prisoners on the third installment of The Melting Pot, delivering another series of unrepentant 303 ultraviolence. Label chief Bloody Mary steps up to deliver the punishing and disorienting psychedelia of "Acetic" awash in gliding resonance from that little silver box plus clattering 909 mayhem. Splice then lunges straight for the jugular on "Tactile", a frantic session where the abrasive overdrive of the kick will have you begging for mercy. Finally, the legend Thomas P. Heckmann returns since his appearance on the series' first episode - he delivers the seething restrained fury of "The Space Between".

Review: Thomas P. Heckmann is in fine fettle on his debut for Sisters Recordings. Opening gambit 'Kopfgeister' is straight-ahead techno with some fuzzy bass and scuzzy synth textures that arrest your attention and keep you on edge for the duration. It's pure, heart of the dance floor at 3am stuff. UK artist Clouds then brings plenty of British flavours to a remix built on broken beats and coarse metallic textures. After that broken beat madness, 'Spectral Emotions' is another smooth but stinking track with rubbery drums and kicks bubbling away beneath some sci-fi pads. Bristol maestro October offers up a Return 2 The Jungle mix that is a caustic acid and abrasive loops.

Review: On the heavyweight "EBM Manifest" series, Thomas P Heckmann has already served up a wealth of rugged, intense material for those who like their techno muscular and mind-altering. On volume three, the veteran producer takes a back seat while a quintet of like-minded studio boffins give their takes on his tunes. Scalameriya kicks things off with a throbbing version of "Himmel and Hoelle" that makes great use of pulsating EBM style arpeggios and wild, increasingly intense riffs, before Raul Parra channels the spirit of Nitzer Ebb on a particularly strong revision of "El Hazzared". Elsewhere, the Phase Fatal remix of "Dunkel" is a psychedelic and hypnotic treat, Delectro's take on "EBM 2" is wild and wonderful, and Sarin's revision of "Himmel and Hoelle" might induce hallucinations in weary, intoxicated dancers.

Review: One below-the-line commentator on Discogs recently described Thomas P Heckmann as a "relentless producer". Given the number of EPs he's put out over the course of his 24-year career, it's an apt description. Fittingly, the four tracks here tend towards the "relentless", too, with Heckmann focusing the action around throbbing, strobe-ready rhythms, razor-sharp EBM synthesizer riffs, twisted acid lines and mind-altering electronics. These are proper club tracks for sweaty basements and smoky, dimly lit warehouses, with thunderous opener "Himmel and Hoelle" and the wild, psychedelic closer "Dunkel" being our highlights. That said, the more obviously EBM influenced "Violent Stains" is also top notch.

Review: Thomas P Heckmann is one of the pioneers of electronic music. After he started DJing in 1983 he released his first EP in 1991. In the course of the following years he produced quite a few Acid tracks à la Underground Resistance. These new dance tracks are hypnotic and dark, with interwoven and weird sounds that drill the straight beat into your body and soul.

Review: GOMBWAX is a new series from this label that kicks off with a fine first EP. Four well-accomplished artists set up for the occasion with Thomas P Heckmann going hard on his bouncy techno banger 'All Is Blurred'. Jerome Hill then heads 'Half Way To Hornsey' with a raved-up take that builds raw breakbeats and mad synths into something frenzied. On the flip is the strobe-lit 'Trembling With Beauty' from Martyn Hare, who builds the energy with flashes of synth and powerful drum loops. Paul Birken brings plenty of distortion and grime to his closer 'Poaching Pickled Parcels.' For those that are interested, the label will also be dropping NFTS alongside each of these tracks on Opensea.io, along with a unique 3D animation of the cover.

Now the label returns with an eagerly anticipated sophomore split-disc, The Essential Groove. Alexander Kowlaski opens the record up with the thunderous, nervy 'Breakpoint' before Thomas P. Heckmann whips out a fun and freaky throw down for peak time situations. On the B side Dejota Doblecero creates a motorik cacophony of rhythmic brilliance on 'Alta Frecuencia', Pergo creates an infectious strain of carnival techno and Vibrations Of Gravity jacks harder than anyone on the blistering 'I Think You Are Going To Like It'.
