Fresh French label Attention Spin! flaunts the talents of the Parisian underground in its freshest incarnation. Currently turning their focus towards cosmic house music with hints of Italo and new beat, as well as aiming to prioritize dance music that uses vocals as an instrument, their first release here is a four-track EP from rising star DJ Dawidu. The likes of 'Une Nuit A Paris' and 'Mad Game' detail the wilder, undergrounder ends of after-hours nightlife in the Capitale de la Mode. 'Half On A Room', meanwhile, spans dub- and hip-house, while 'Lil'Drama' is the most vocal and catwalk-worthy of the bunch.

Review: Sweely has been making moves for a while in underground fires. He's dropped his stylish electronic sounds on labels like Bunter Side Up to great acclaim and now gets the nod from another revered UK outlet in Lobster Theramin. This red and gold 12" finds the producer offering up some tracks from his archives, starting with the balmy and bumpy depths of 'Stronger Than Me'. As always the synths are lithe and neon in colour, liquid in design and restless in the way they bounce about the mix over the kinetic, infectious drums. It's a similar story with the rest of these club-ready but charming cuts.

Review: Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha's Dungeon Meat deals only in rock-solid house cuts designed for maximum club impact. Their Weapons Of Ass Destruction series is a treasure trove of such sounds and the fourth volume is another doozy: Sweely kicks off with some rubbery tripped-out tech, Frederik Anthony spins out on silky and deft percussive tech on 'Shortbacknsides' and Timmy P's 'Your Parents Are Doing It Right Kev' is a drake heavier stomper for when things get freaky. Boss Priester offers another highlight with the industrial and cosmic tech of 'Today Okay' while JAMM's 'Ignition' is more high-class weaponry.
