Review: Schatzi is the edit label run by parent imprint Let's Play OHOuse in Brooklyn. This eighth volume of dance floor bombs is another essential one for those looking to light up the club. There is squelchy synth-funk on the international opener with its gorgeous backing vocals and lead Portuguese verses. Things get more stripped back and funky on 'Track 2' and elsewhere there is crunchy proto-electro, glossy, jazz-laced deep house groovers and slow motion, deep cut and playful electro-funk delights.

Review: Sweetheart sounds; Schatzi gear up their first anonymous edit collection of the year and, once again, it's a premium piece of party fuel. Featuring exceptional versions of cult classic such as "Track 1"'s take on CZR's timeless "Chicago Southside", "Track 3"'s version of Margaret Reynolds or a seriously sharp splice job on Made In USA on "Track 4" by way of cosmic excursions a la "Track 2", Schatzi aren't sweet talking us here, they're the real deal.

Review: Confucius says as one edits label falls to the wayside, another shall rise up and take its place. Apparently hailing from the 5 boroughs of New York City, the Schazi label announces its arrival with a four track 12" that will find its way into the affections of any jobbing selector. First up is a Jacques Renault edit of a house music standard, most recently seen reworked by Moomin for the Fuck Reality label. Complementing that are three uncredited edits that dip into the disco archive with the delightful strings and stomp of 12 minute burner "Perfect Love Affair" a particular highlight.
