Rush (5:46)
Contours - "Night Shift" (6:48)
Replete - "Legislate" (feat Bini) (6:35)
Sameed - "Someone Like U" (6:43)
Review: Sample-based, hip-hop influenced house label Ele returns with a second missive. This time round, there's a trio of artists at the controls, namely Manchester man Contours, GAMM and Local Talk regular Sameed, and the previously unheard Replete. The latter's "Legislate", a loose, languid, jazz-flecked chunk of sunshine deep house warmth featuring the suave vocals of Bini, is arguably the EP's standout moment - though it is pushed all the way by the crunchy drums, meandering electric piano solos and head-in-the-clouds dustiness of Sameed's "Someone Like U". The breezy, synth-heavy Balearic house breeziness of Contours' "Night Shift" and the drowsy, cut-up house thrust of "Rush", created by a producer who wishes to remain nameless, complete a fine package.

Jamie 3:26 & Masalo - "Testify" (8:18)
Sameed - "Can't U" (4:43)
Sameed - "Dusty Jazz" (Late Night edit) (5:56)
Review: The latest missive from Sweden's fine Local Talk label is a multi-artist affair, with fine contributions from label regular Sameed, Chicago legend Jamie 3:26, and rising star Masalo. The latter two join forces on fabulous A-side "Testify", a low-slung, disco-tinged deep house bomb built around righteous rhythms, impassioned, gospel-influenced blues vocals, and killer Clavinet parts. On the flip, Sameed's first contribution is a riff on the same basic cut, utilizing the same samples but venturing further towards dirty, late night disco territory. He also provides a fine bonus in the shape of "Dusty Jazz", a sample-heavy jazz-house workout complete with wavering horns, rich bass and twinkling electric piano solos.

Ode To G (4:55)
Want You (5:12)
Feel It (dub mix) (4:41)
Baby (Listen To Me) (5:03)
Review: Manchester DJ and producer Sameed spins his way into your affections here with a glorious EP that melts gospel, soul, disco and house into some lovely floor filers. 'Ode To G' has big Philly strings and classic-era diva vocals over copy and lopsided rhythms. 'Want You' is another loopy one but this time it's a bit tougher and more of a tease with a French house touch. 'Feel It' (dub mix) is all about the lung-busting vocal cries and rickety drums then the silkiest of the lot os the stuffing deep house cum US garage cut 'Baby (Listen To Me).'

TIP! (5:20)
Feelin' (6:02)
Tribe (7:29)
Review: Spy come flying off the 2018 blocks with another blink-and-miss episode of their white label edit series, this time Local Talk affiliate Sameed is at the controls. "TIP!" takes the lead and scorches everything down to the ground with its fiery fusion, grain textures and rough, sense-blurring loops. "Feelin'" takes us down for a splash in the brooks, all tantalising pianos and urgent sexy vocals while "Tribe" closes on an absolute peach of a jazz twist. All shuffled up and horny, this is nothing short of unmissable.

Bun (6:35)
Chao (6:13)
Review: Two big boogie cuts from rising Manchester groove weaver Sameed. Following his work on the likes of Local Talk, "Bun" bumps, shuffles and struts with a Carter/Solomon Classic Music style jack complete with peppery keys and a big soul-burning vocals. "Chao" raises the heat a little with a much more relentless loopy dynamic that's strong in both the Latin and Chicago feels thanks to its latent jazz and blatant chug. Classic Gamm.

Yadava - "An Extra Slice" (2:16)
Sameed - "New Bell" (6:20)
Gallegos - "Wang Dang" (4:42)
Ed Eldridge - "290318" (5:04)
Toma Kami - "Soil" (4:28)
Review: Banoffee Pies' Limited Series is back with its 7th instalment, coming through with yet another marvelously diverse compilation of artists and tunes that all lead to the dancefloor. The vibe is on a house tip throughout, with each artist showcasing their own thing: Yadava's opener is deep and mystical, while Sameed's "New Bell" transforms a jazz groove into a 4/4 bombshell, and Gallegos' "Wang Dang" opts for the broken beat stance. On the B-side, there's more broken percussion madness via Ed Eldridge's "290318", and Toma Kami's "Soil" bangs the kick drums out amid a sea of beautiful piano chords. Ready and primed.
