Deep House
Mordax (6:35)
The Multicoloured Mind (6:41)
It's All Pam's (Marseille) (6:27)
Into Week Two (6:27)
Review: Two years ago, UK techno mainstay Gabriel made his bow on Rawax's Motor City Edition series with an EP of cuts drawn from his seemingly endless archive of unreleased gems. We're not sure whether the four tracks on this belated sequel are old and new, but they're certainly timeless-sounding and impressively deep. Check first 'Mordax', an impeccable mixture of Motor City star-gazing and analogue deep house blessed with a ridiculously good bassline, before admiring the sun-splashed warmth of 'The Multicoloured Mind', where jazzy piano motifs, sustained synth-strings and warming chords dance atop a loose-limbed house-not-house beat. Over on the B-side 'It's All Pam's (Marseille)' is another gorgeous chunk of ageless deep house bliss, while 'Into Week Two' sees Gabriel once again blur the boundaries between Detroit techno and futurist deep house tropes.

Techno
Photoa (6:50)
End Of Doubt (6:10)
Dromedary (7:19)
16 Hours (7:21)
Review: REPRESS ALERT: UK techno stalwart Russ Gabriel has proven himself time and time again in the deeper corners of the genre, not least at the helm of the seminal Ferox label. Recent appearances for the likes of FireScope and Rawax have equally affirmed his position at the forefront of his field nearly 30 years after first emerging. The standard is no lower on this new release for Subconscious Algorithms, which kicks off with the Detroit-styled delights of "Photoa" before melting into the mellow brain food of "End Of Doubt". "Dromedary" brings some luscious acid sounds into the melodic mix, and "16 Hours" completes the set with an elegant trip through pin-prick electro for the after-hours set.

Techno
Peace For Thought (8:02)
Archipelago (7:33)
Finches In Flight (5:19)
Review: Russ Gabriel returns to Ferox with another round of classy, thoughtful techno excursions that point to his decades in the game. "Peace For Thought" stretches across the A side, its forthright rhythm section carrying an elegiac line in synth work. "Archipelago" is a snappier, Detroit-tinted workout defined by its catchy organ leads. "Finches In Flight" sends the B2 tripping off on a downtempo selection crafted with the chillout room (or some other non-dancefloor situation) in mind, and sounds utterly magnificent with it. Once again Gabriel proves his deft touch as well as his diversity on this sterling new entry in the Ferox canon.

Dover Calling
Review: After an excellent first release featuring Freerotation lynchpin Steevio, Russ Gabriel's Rivers Of Groove label returns with a pair of excursions into lush, bubbling techno from Gabriel on his own. As a first generation UK techno stalwart, it's little wonder that he can turn out productions as accomplished as these, but there's no sense that he's treading water. "Ambulate" bears the hallmarks of modular production, all twinkling, morphing synth tones chiming around a delicate beat, while "Dover Calling" favours a snappier electro palette, but both stand out from the crowd for the sheer quality in the production, the warmth in the composition and the needlepoint focus given to every shred of detail in this crucial cuts.

Three Fifty One
Review: Russ Gabriel is the owner of Ferox and a techno legend in his own right. With releases on his
own label as well some of the worlds best techno labels such as Planet E, Djax-Up-beats and
Soma. Russ was first welcomed to Pariter with the release of 'Ferox Classics', bringing back some
long forgotten Ferox tracks for a reminder of just how good techno can sound. After the success
of this release Russ is back with 'Konacno', some tracks from 2007 which are sure to become firm
favourites and put Russ back on the map as an artist and a DJ.
