Review: It's a big week for Mannheim's 8 bit label, with a massive release from Amsterdam tech house hero Franky Rizardo and now this one - coming from label co-head Nick Curly. Prepare to be seduced by the sensual, slinky and downright hypnotic acid groove of 'Plenti' followed up on the flip by the sweltering tribal polyrhythms of 'Squib' which is sure to work up a sweat on the dancefloor - as once the clubs reopen of course! This also happens to be his first release on the label for 2020, and obviously it made sense to give him some more time as these two tracks are sure floorfillers - only waiting for the right moment to be dropped in public.

Review: Mannheim's finest Nick Curly returns for some more of his signature deep percussive tech house grooves. On the pre peak time tool "Reverie", Curly infuses his usual syncopated wooden percussion workouts with a grooving bassline, complete with laser zaps and various other types of tripped out atmospherics. On the flip "All People" is definitely for the peak time. A furious beat is supported by relentlessly dark synth stabs on this infectious and sweaty groove. Absolutely made to play on the island or any massive beach party for that matter. Bring on the summer already!

Review: Great driving techno thumpers from Mannheim's Nick Curly on the always impressive 8 Bit imprint. "Aymara" locks into a hypnotic druggy groove before dropping in soaring synths and odd overdubbed vocal samples. On the flip "Tigua" adopts a winning bass heavy percussive shuffle which soon drops into a crescendo of killer throwback rave stabs, whilst "Lemba" opts for a minimal sub aquatic creek.
