Review: Rapper Mick Jenkins is a much-loved fixture in today's hip-hop landscape, but despite his credo, he shows hardly any signs of complacency. To the contrary; Jenkins says his latest LP The Patience reflects an uptick in thinking about the way he makes music - patiently. In contrast to earlier projects like Elephant In The Room, released in 2021, The Patience, in Jenkins' own words, reflects a newfound he recently found in the process - when he "stopped focusing on a concept and just wrote spontaneously to the beat".
