Review: Brooklyn producer Christopher Ernst is back with another L'estasi Dell'oro release on Macro following up last year's "Iscariotic Lips / Reverse & Repair" EP. There are some seriously stellar tracks on his newest offering. "Pyrrhic Mundi" is dark and doom laden techno you could imagine hearing at Berghain with its cavernous and relentless kick drum accompanied by sinister industrial atmospherics. "Every Light Is Blue" is dark, tunnelling and smacked out techno, much in the vein of Ricardo Donoso's Scuba Death project. The creepy female voices chanting a looped refrain adds even more mystery to the track. Those same voices continue on the peak time hypnotism of the funky "Sky Unknown" on the flip. Tip!
