Review: 'Ole Coltrane' is a three-piece curio from jazz great John Coltrane, recorded in his pre-Love Supreme period, and best known for being one of many in which the legendary trumpeter favoured the use of modes. Packed with long faces from the blues and dragging brush caressings, the three pieces that are Ole, Dahomey Dance and Aisha are all muted compositions for smoked-out nights of indeterminate emotion.
