Review: Fu.me is an Italian techno, breaks and electro label founded by George K, which is continuing to present some of the realest deviant machine funk on the market via it's The Orbitants series. The latest instalment leads in with DJ Overdose, who offers up some blown out metallic melodies over a rasping beat in his uncompromising style. Credit 00 follows up with the nasty funk of 'Delete Wack MCs' while Fastgraph gets rubbery and riotous on 'The Tunnel'. Gamma Intel completes the set with the squashed and sinewy throwdown 'Papenthin', rounding out a record no serious electro head should be without.

Review: Frank De Groot has an accomplished history in gnarly electronics which reaches back to the 90s, and he's been recording with Steffi's Klakson label as Fastgraph for most of that time. Here the label are returning their attention to one of his most sought-after joints, the incredible Evasive Manoeuvres EP. This is the kind of electro to make you sit up and pay attention - it's uptemo, dark and edgy, with an atmosphere you could cut with a knife and a grubby, underground attitude perhaps only bested by the Bunker Records crew. Serious gear for those who like their electro as moody as possible.

Review: Long time electro champs Klakson have Fastgraph aka Frank de Groodt back on the label and he is in fine form. He seems to look to the raw and raucous Detroit style of electro for his inspiration here with four pumping and fizzing cuts. 'ROTOC' has huge hi hats and pounding drums with a decaying, frazzled lead synth burrowing deep in your brain. 'Hardknox' then ups the ante and brings high speed cyborg funk then 'Zero In On You' is a wild and wonderful collision of acid wind, coruscated drums and slapping hits. 'Dim' is all restless synth funk and barrel chested beats.

Review: Electro is very much back in vogue, but for Steffi's vital Klakson label it's a sound that never went away. This EP is a particularly special one that welcomes Fastgraph, aka Dutchman Frank de Groodt, back into the fold more than a decade since his last official release (which also came on this label). These tracks are fast, funky machine music with crispy, crashing metal hits and warped synths that are made to devastate the dance floor. The frazzled bass of "Number 8" sure is pleasing, but to really make a mark, drop the manic lines and overdriven drums of "Interface" and see people really lose their minds.

Review: Dutch producer Frank de Groodt, well known for his projects like The Operator and Sonar Base, produces his 4th release under the name Fastgraph. "Evasive Manoeuvres" is a top drawer release on Klakson Records.
