The latest split release from their VQ X series opens up with the spellbinding, micro dub meditation 'The Serpent & The Jaguar' from Deadbeat before swerving into the equally tender folds of Triptease & Yonatan Levi's 'Amniotic Jive'. Tuccillo opens up the B-side with some crisp, immersive broken beat rhythmic incantations, and then Wareika round the record off with a smouldering piece of hi-tech jazz from the outer rim. Review: Church co-head Seb Wildblood presents his latest release titled 'Vitara 3000', boasting three masterfully crafted tracks that effortlessly blend a nostalgic sound with broken beats and dreamy melodies. The EP, released via Istanbul-based label Oath, was a result of his new creative space in Los Angeles after moving from London. The high-energy tech house of 'Floor Science' kicks off the EP, while the slinky and hypnotic title track takes listeners on a blissful journey with euphoric vocals. Review: While all of NuNorthern Soul's releases are delightfully warming, sun-baked and mood-enhancing, the label's latest release - a new EP from imprint stalwart and long-serving American producer Marshall Watson - is especially impressive. Musically, it's sun-bright and sonically enveloping, offering a calming and colourful bath for the head, heart and soul. Interestingly, there's a touch more dancefloor focus than you may expect - see the Balearic-acid shuffle of 'Open Sky', the grandiose, enveloping chords and bustling breakbeats of 'The Landscape' and the tactile Balearic nu-disco of 'Sweet Sounds' - but wholeheartedly horizontal moments are never far away. Review: While he might have come to attention exploring Fourth World percussion with Wolf Muller, Niklas Want has since proven himself to be equally happy indulging in full-tilt rave action, and that's exactly what he's up to on this fresh and fruity 12" for Warning. 'Die Glocke' is a rowdy, acid-tweaking breakbeat monster with some playful, braindance chords on top. Fantastic Twins then team up for a sweatier, techno-tooled remix of the track pitched squarely at strobe lit basements. 'Bodyzeit' finds Wandt indulging chunky piano stabs, Detroit synth orchestration and electro swagger, all adding up to a seriously fun kind of club wrecker, which Borusiade then simmers down to a smouldering, after hours roller for the smoke machine crew.

Review: Best claims to be the first Italo-disco label to be based in Rome. It was founded in 1981 by pioneering DJ Claudio Casalini and sure does have plenty of gems in its catalogue. This is one of them from Carol Williams, whose charming and effortlessly cool vocals light up both sides of this mix of boogie, soul, disco and funk. 'What's The Deal' is a mid-tempo seducer with stepping chord sequences and bright synth work then 'Have You For My Love' ups the ante with more squelchy synth funk sounds and pixelated leads. It's the pick of the bunch if you ask us.

Review: Wrekin Havoc has been in no rush to get to their third EP - this one comes almost 18 months after the debut - but the music is worth the wait. It is another one from the in-house production team of the same name who describe themselves as crate diggers turned re-editors from deepest Wales. Here they set off on a Balearic-minded disco trip with the soul-drenched 'Double Deb' before 'Boon Rocks', boasting an electric boogie feel with its staying analogue lines and stiff drums. 'Kool Keith' is a low-slung and swaggering dub with classic house samples and 'Splash Gordon' shows yet another side with blissed-out electronic soul.

Review: Woo York hail from Ukraine and have been reinvigorating the European scene with their own fresh take on dark and emotive sounds. Here they land on the label arm of the iconic Berlin club Watergate with a pair of belters. 'Samum' kicks off with driving drums and shimmering synth work overlaid with a hypnotic lead synth. Review: The work of legendary drummer turned library musician Klaus Weiss continues to be reissued. For this series, Dynamite Cuts are looking back on a mid-1970s series of EPs released by Weiss originally for the famous library Sound Music. Carrying a minimal production that still has appeal for the modern listener (don't Dynamite know it), the four tracks here are curt, squelchy and beat-centric, with highlights including the clavichord-wacky 'Frogs', the sonically obese 'Productive Facilities', and the space-age drum freakout 'Coordinates Meeting'.

Review: Wisdom Wita Z aka LaShonda Corder hooks up with Dark Entries for a rare Detroit-adroit arsenal of new 90s-style house bangers. 'It's Me' was produced by DJ Maestro and DJ 001, both influential figures in the Detroit techno scene. The B-side, meanwhile, hears a retake from the adjacent DJ Resurgence. An anthem for owning and loving oneself, direct comparisons could be made to the diva vibes of Crystal Waters or CeCe Peniston, but Wita Z brings an entirely new character to the genre, with the production bringing a moodiness to the sound and giving neat contrast to her up-front vocals.

Review: Better-known in the Motor City as DJ Gusto, August Williams makes his bow on Detroit's original techno imprint, Juan Atkins' much-loved Metroplex. He first offers up 'The Hook Up', a relaxed electro workout marked out by hip-hop tempo beats, sparkling synthesiser arpeggio lines and gorgeous electronic melodies, before opting for a more hypnotic, dark, clandestine and minimalistic techno sound on superb machine jam 'Dark T'. Williams successfully blurs the boundaries between late-night deep house and sci-fi techno on 'Pushback', while 'Submission' pairs a vintage Motor City techno style groove with discordant, mind-mangling motifs.

Review: With the original previously spotted fetching over L100 on auction sites, White Lightning's 'So Many Tears' enjoys a well-deserved reissue. One of jungle techno architect Ron Wells' many aliases, both the lead track and the equally deep flipside 'Burning Bridges' can be seen as blueprint deep rollers. With its lilting pianos and dreamy vocal 'So Many Tears' was a big cut for DJs like Bukem at the time while 'Burning Bridges' took the groove deeper again making it a popular jam at the experimental epicentre that was Rage. Still sounding every bit as futuristic as they did back then, Ron Wells was conjuring up some incredible sounds during this era.

Review: The Original Gravity label's Reggae Dynamite series sure is packed full of dance floor heat. This fourth volume turns up the temperature once more, starting with Dave Barker's 'Move It On Now' with spoken word mic work over a guitar laced riddim. Woodfield Rd Allstars bring plenty of big horn energy and hints of ska to their 'San Salvario Stomp' then appear again on the flip with the organ-lead sounds of mid tempo wobbler 'Norwegian Wood'. Melbourne Douglas completes the picture with 'Wheel & Come Again', another raw as you like and classic sound.

Review: Numbering Drifted's fifth release, we have an eye-opening collaborative project from Anna Wall and Corbi. A heady fusion of house and breaks, 'Satellite' is the ultimate energetic pumper that feels impressively true to the late 90s rave sound despite its recent production and pressing date. On the B-side 'Mind Sweeper' takes a darker turn, embellished with glistening high hats and resonant, obscured vocals, this track develops beautifully over the course of its length. A testament to the power of collaboration and creativity in electronic music, this is definitely not one to miss.

Review: While Vince Watson's 2002 classic 'Moments In Time' certainly stood the test, the Scottish producer and DJ has now revisited the theme with his very own sequel to the project, 'Another Moment In Time'. Though it gives modern breathability and flair to his long-established atmospheric techno oeuvre, it hardly renders the music glossy or sheeny as one might expect. Instead, the very same wondrous jazz-flavoured sound is conveyed once again, and with just as much potency, through the two awestruck burgeoners 'Rendezvous (Finale)' and 'Whispers'.

Review: Waage is a firm favourite amongst dub techno fans. The Icelandic producer has long been turning out icy and atmospheric rollers for the heads and here he works alongside a fresh name, Quantal, who is sure to go on to big things. Here they land on Thule Records, a legendary label in its own right with roots going back to 1995. They kick off with the textured dub of 'WQ1' which has glitchy sounds paying over the rolling drums. 'WQ2' is much more smooth and streamlined, with an underwater current that sweeps you off your feet, then 'WQ3' leans into the wind with hypnotic techno drums and vamping chords that melt the mind. Last of all comes 'WQ4', a timeless dub with infinite horizons and the most frictionless drum loops.

Review: When it was initially released nine years ago, The Stalwart marked Detroit house legend Rick Wade's first appearance on Rawax offshoot Housewax. Wade's standards are high - he seems incapable of releasing mediocre music - but even then, The Stalwart is extra special. For proof, check out the classic deep house warmth and shuffle of opener 'The Hawk' - all languid electric piano motifs, sturdy drums, spacey stabs and toasty bass - and the marginally funkier and more spacey sounding lusciousness of 'Dream Flute'. Elsewhere, 'Just Want' sees Wade smother a hypnotic, analogue-rich groove in sustained chords, drowsy Rhodes licks and yearning trumpet solos, while 'Proving Ground' achieves a perfect balance between immersive deepness and driving dancefloor energy.

Review: Sonic Wax is dropping a couple of Jackie Wilson specials this month. Both are one-sided and limited edition 7"s, one being 'Light My Fire' and the other being this, 'Don't You Know I Love You', originally on Brunswick and found on Jackie's 1972 long player Beautiful Day. It's a life-affirming bit of upbeat and optimistic soul powered by soaring Philly strings, happy flute melodies and those beautiful, burning male vocals as well as some soothing female coos in the background. It's a northern soul gem that still does the business.

Review: Straight off the back of Nicolo's deep, dubby broken beat escapade, Baroque Sunburst strike again with two beguiling breakbeat originals from rising Milan-based Brazilian talent Worli. 'Dynamo' is a purring, rolling tribal breaks piece with strong undertones of techno that you could imagine anyone playing from Villalobos to Meat Katie. 'Breathe - Dance' meanwhile takes a more glacial, up-tempo twist as a foggy, steppy slab of drum & bass that's reminiscent of a Metalheadz B-side or something you'd find on Samurai. Complete with a nutty junglistic remix from Etch and you're packing serious heat. .

Review: Reggae mainstay Delroy Wilson dropped this easy soul skanker back in the mid-70s. Now the original Clocktower label reissues it again on a limited 7" as the OG has become hard to find and much coveted. It's a brilliantly laidback tune and warming organ chords at its core, lazy drum hits and fat bottom kick down below, all finished with the laissez vocal coolness of Delroy. Flip it over for an even more slowed down and sensuous rhythm version, but the a-side with its sweet vocal takes some beating if you ask us.

Review: .Athens of the North has been a buy-on-sight for years. The Edinburgh-based soul, disco and funk reissue label rarely ever misses and does some of the most tireless digging in the game as this latest 7" shows. It is a spotlight on one of the best tunes made by Anthony Brightly while working with a young Wendy Walker. 'We've Got One' is dub tinged slow-motion funk with a glorious vocal, and on the flip is Legal Assault's 'Nice & Slow'. This one is also from the Sir George label and a sensuous deep soul and lo-fi gem with steamy vocals and lush chords.

Review: Jayson Wynters is one of the UK's more underrated producers. He hails from Birmingham, has mastered Kung Fu and is no slouch in the studio. This outing on Spanish label Pulp - written back during the lockdowns - is one of his best yet - a deep look into the cosmos, with star-gazing synth lines and analogue drum sounds that are frayed around the edges. Misty-eyed chords define many tracks, with the loosely jumbled drums and rasping basslines all interlocking perfectly. 'Corns Funk' has twanging bass riffs that remind of Prince, while 'Night Drive' is a Dam-Funk style late-night street cruise during sunset.
