Review: 'Lords Of Miami' is a fantastic name for this new one from Domesticated, a label run by one of Berlin's best electro aficionados, Robyrt Hecht. Sshadess, The Coomers, Girlcop and Emscho Shoshe each contribute original cuts ranging from the janky to the smooth, with choice bits like 'Carbonara' remaining unpretentious and not-too-produced, yet also peppery on the glitches. Shoshe's 'Give Up' lends an experiment to vocal booty house too, adding an extra creep factor to the genre with freq-scooping phasers on the sample.

Review: Portuguese electronic artist Pedro Goya lends his latest and best efforts to French label YoY - a sublabel of the Yoyaku family - for a textured sway through dreamy minimal house and elegant acid progressions. Much like picking flowers, the EP puts across the feeling of being 'in the zone', with the tracks seeming to flow seamlessly through similar keys and timbres, all while nailing a raw, real, even ancient feel.

'Tangible Steps' picks up the pace with a more bristling mix of drums, perc and raw Chicago claps and onto the flip, things get deep once more with the horizontal vibes of 'Golden Wisdom' and more wispy cosmic pads of 'Foward Motion Dub.' Big Al gets underway with an immediatly catchy and dubbed out, stripped back and cool-as-you-like groove in 'If Only' (Silverlining dub). Fred Everything & Jay Tripwire then link to sublet effect on the US garage groove that is 'Sometimes I Feel' with its liquid dub chords and steamy trumpet motifs, and Grant Dell goes for a deep cosmic workout on 'Being There.' Last of all is the chunky house funk of Inland Knights's 'Hands Up', a real dance floor heater with atmospheric vocal musings.

Review: Two And Half Records make the decision here to try and rid the A and B-side distinction on records that we are all very familiar with and instead they refer to each face of their latest 12" as 'dance' and 'listen.'' It makes sense frankly and is often how things go anyway. Swiss duo Quismi kick off this one with twitchy and narcotic tech house with an old school bent. French artist Groenogen then gets wild with bright melodies and grinding synths, r&b vocals and high speed tech funk on 'Twinkle Dance' while ILyes offers the tech silkiness of 'Starting Now.' On the flip is a trio of less direct, more experimental sounds that sure do offer plenty to get lost in on headphones.

Review: Back in 2020, Seven Hills took a deep dive into the back catalogue of Isle of White producer Andy Jones, offering up tracks he recorded as Makers of Movement. Here they return to White's vaults to explore his cult Governed By Rhythm project, initially designed as an outlet for his faster, trance-influenced productions. On disc one, we're treated to a trio of previously unreleased gems recorded between 1994 and 97: constantly building, 16-minute ambient acid trip 'ANWAM', hypnotic tech-trance treat 'Kick The Can' (whose warped female vocalisations and psychedelic noises are undeniably Goa-friendly), and 'Bedroom', which doffs a cap to early 90s Italian techno productions. Disc two features selected highlights from the two hard-to-find EPs he released under the alias in the 90s, with the breathless 'Synergy' and breathless, bass-heavy 'Toltec Chants' standing out.

Review: La Menace is a shadowy collective hailing from France committed to the craft of minimal tech house, with the focus squarely on the tunes on a series of various artist releases. This time around, the proceedings get going in fizzy, freakout style with Abdul Raeva's proggy stormer 'Concorde', while Ginko locks into a slender beat construction on 'Jungle Palazzo'. Takadoum creates an emotive strain of acid on 'Boulevard Hofmann' and MLM & Max Cohle get one of those groovesome, subby basslines rolling on the guaranteed floor worker 'Contraste (Anjou Mix)'. Ginko returns to close the EP out with the sparkling, shimmering splendour of lightly breakbeat-powered joint 'Hors Serie'.

Review: .Odd Mob & GD Vandal very much sounds like a hip-hop duo from the early 90s, but it is not. It is Brisbane based Harry Hope who has been making beats for a decade and more, and GD Vandal about whom nothing is known and this is only their first release. It arrives on Tinted and features two choice tunes. The first is a collab between the pair - 'Been Dreaming' - and is a full throttle house banger with catchy and impassioned vocal loops over thumping drums and nice raw hits. Perfect stuff. Odd Mob then goes solo for 'XTC' which is a deep tech throbber with a darker vocal.

Review: Gonno is one of the artists right at the heart of the current Japanese house and techno scene. He now lands on the Taiwanese label Jin with the sort of stylish sounds that have earned him that reputation. He opens ups with sophisticated house of 'Energy Flash' with its drum loops gently rocking you back and forth with diffuse pads bring the soul. The Voiski remix is a more melancholic cut with bittersweet synths riding ups and down the scale and warped bass propping it up from below. Things take a turn towards twisted and textural techno on 'Final Hate' (original mix) then into a world of ambient beauty on 'Arabica' to send you home feeling soothed.

Review: There's a nicely meditational vibe to Camilo Gil's 'Skydream', gliding along with a hint of breakbeat sidewinding to its beat and some deep jungle (as opposed to junglist) atmospherics. The Jef K & St Jhons remix turns it on its head, making it sturdier and adding swagger, not to mention a dash of 80s synth flourish here and there. Rodrigo Valdivia's 'Acid Rain' has a similarly global feeling to it, extra dimensional ambient house with proper tribal rhythm foundations remixed into even spacier territory by Peter F Spiess.

Review: Roger Gerressen is one of those artists, along with the likes of Plastikman and Maurizo, say, who can craft a loop so perfect that it's almost enough to just let it play for days. Here he works with Jonah on a new one for Muted Noise that finds him layer up more fulsome arrangements, at least to start with on the pained 'The Come Down' with its nagging vocal coos and melancholic chords. A Halo Varga remix is more driving and club ready tech, then 'Be Who You Want' is a delightfully deep, delicate and dubbed-out house cut with silky vocals and pillowy chords. Ion Ludwig Think You're Free remix again ups the pace and makes the original a more deriving tech cut.

Review: Coming in hot after last year's Pura Lempuyang compilation is this new two part 12" offering up cuts from it on limited edition turquoise wax. Dib kicks off with 'Cieloterra' which is a devilishly deep and dubby techno cut with fizzing synths running across its face. Federsen is much more smooth and silky with liquid pads and a sublime sense of frictionless groove to his 'Random Motion' while Grad U offers more heavy and stumbling dub quakes on 'From The Shadows.' Last of all is Altone's 'Emergent Structure,' a lush minimal excursion with deft hits and feathery pads over sublime drums.

Review: Bucharest-based producer Guy From Downstairs is ten years deep in releases at this point, having graced the likes of Robsoul, Neostrictly and Pleasure Zone in recent times. Fresh from a razor-sharp collab with Nu Zau, he sidles over to Rawax for a blissful trip through emotionally charged club tracks ranging from deep, bumping house to fluttering electro. 'Time Is Short & Love Is' pins you down with its fulsome bassline, but there's plenty of space for shuffle and slide in the smooth, seductive groove. Meanwhile 'Kitkat Sessions' comes on with more than a little influence from the glory days of ambient techno and electronica thanks to its skittering drum machine programming, expansive pads and melodious acid lines.

There is plenty going on with MoYA81's 'The Way We Like' from electro crash drums to wonky Italo melodies to withering sci-fi disco effects. Yu's 'Another Call Me Bad' rides on cascading synth arps that never let you settle for a moment and Gianluca Pellerano's 'Alienated Theater' then explores slamming tech house with electro style melodies bringing a cinematic vibe. Review: After debuting on Kaizenrecordsberlin back in 2020, Gauvain finally makes a second appearance with this sure-footed EP for Shaque & DJ Tjizza's Berlin-based label Mood Waves. There's a sense of the trancey tech house scene in the playful threads running through these tracks - cheeky synth lines with a little wriggle to them and plenty of ear-catching samples. 'Suspended Animation' is an especially flamboyant cut, but really they're all out to bring a little naughtiness to the dancefloor and inspire some sharply defined figures to be thrown. Even when things get moodier on 'The Pier, 1962', there's an irrepressible sense of fun which leaves a lasting impression.

Review: Romanian label Playedby is dropping a couple of EPs in quick succession and this one from G76 is a leftfield one. It features the same track split over two sides of wax in two parts. 'Volume Figure' (part 1) is the sort of abstract work that you might get from Ricardo Villalobos - silvery and filtered vocals bring a sense of AI futurism to clicking beats and wispy sine waves. The rhythm grows in stature as wet claps and snares join the mix, and on the flip side, it turns into a more gritty and propulsive tech house cut for late-night afters.

Review: Nation of Jak offshoot Dirty Blends was established by label chief Melvin Oliphant as a vehicle for "interpretations" and "homages" - in plain-speak hush-hush reworks, tribute tracks and those that sample liberally. The label's latest release is a compilation of sorts, featuring as it does cuts from a trio of artists. The Falcon steps up first with title track 'Sound The Alarm', a raw, jacking, bouncy and positive mind-melding blend of lo-fi synth stabs, sweat-soaked beats, fire alarm noises and restless drum machine fills. Review: Greyscale continues to mine a particularly engaging corner of dubby minimal tech house with this high-grade compilation featuring some emergent names from the underground. Grush exercises great restraint unfurling the sublimely reduced groove around 'Raizel' while Philipp Priebe locks into a slinky strain of house with some premium metallic chords shimmering through the haze. Nicolas Barnes has a fine combination of rugged low end and pin prick bleeps up top on 'Sonic Shadows' and Cirkel Square locks into the snappiest swing on the record with the funked up 'Grey Rythem', proving Greyscale to be right on the money like always.
