Intentionally crafted as a piece that bridges the needs of both the music and dance communities to whom Claussell is mutually close, this is a suite divided into multiple sections that feed on one another; they appose elements of samba, jazz and house, with ambient interstices and even ruminative piano meltdowns ('Healer', 'Heloise'). This ultra limited yellow LP edition is the audiophile's preference, its dynamism best flaunted on the floaty but driving 'Cosmic Arts' mix.

Review: Mariah Carey's new showstopper 'The Rarities' is a treasure trove for stans of the pop diva. Finally, we're showered in all the best rare and previously unreleased tracks, demos and obscurities the singer has to offer from over the years - the best music fans know these are as instrumental to an artist's career as their hits. Selected with "personal relevance and meaning" to Carey, there are no repetitive Christmas hits or too-soft-to-touch love songs here; rather, these cuts are semi-autobiographical, having been paired with her memoir, The Meaning Of Mariah Carey.

Review: 30th Anniversary Expanded Edition; 36 tracks in total. Mariah Carey's latest compendium features the original album Music Box in its entirety with the noteworthy addition of 'Everything Fades Away' (previously available only as an international bonus track). It premieres a variety of previously unreleased tracks including 'Workin' Hard', "All I Live For (Extended Version)', 'My Prayer', 'Hero (2009 Version)', 'Anytime You Need A Friend (Extended Mix)', 'Music Box (A Capella)' and two live performances from Top of the Pops: 'Dreamlover' and 'Without You.' It also includes Mariah Carey's duet with Luther Vandross on 'Endless Love', as well as two brand new remixes from DJ Terry Hunter: 'I've Been Thinking About You' and 'Workin' Hard.'

Review: The Chems, as they are affectionately known by fans, are breakbeat maestros that have been out in a field of one for many decades. Now they continue to serve up the most blistering big room beats, techno and electro fusions each time they play one of their famously spellbinding sets, as well as on this latest record which is presented here across six sides of vinyl. They are revealing all about their accomplished and decorated career in a new biography that arrives the same time as this new album, For The Beautiful Feeling. It's a high-octane sound full of maximal grooves and a mad guest spot from none other than Beck.

Review: By 1995 and the release of It's A Man's World, Cher was already up to her 21st studio album. It marked the start of her second period with the Warner Group and hit the Top 10 of the UK Charts as well as being certified gold. It features an unconventional mix of songs that draw on the Deep South as well as her pop and rock roots. The biggest tine of them all is 'Walking In Memphis' which remains an ever popular sing along hit to this day and is a cover of Marc Cohn's song of the same name. This Deluxe Edition reissue comes on eight sides of coloured vinyl.

Review: Al Cisneros is perhaps best known for his part in legendary bands like stoner kings Sleep and doom monoliths OM, but he's also been exploring realms of dub for the past 10 years via his Sinai label and crucial drops on ZamZam Sounds and Drag City. He's now gathered together that decade of work in this immense box set, which gives you heavy, brooding masterpieces like 'Dismas' and 'Teresa Of Avila' all gathered together in one definitive drop of leftfield dub excellence. For fans of Muslimgauze and Scorn as much as King Tubby, this is a vital testament to the experimental potency locked within the tradition of Jamaican version excursions.

Review: Clutch's cult and debut recording back in 1993 has never before been available on vinyl, but it is now thanks to Weathermaker Music who have pressed it up to a limited 180 gram sea glass blue vinyl and included a numbered and autographed insert. Transnational Speedway League is a great work from the band's Tim Sul and it comes with great artwork which has been redesigned by Dan Winters and Sult. The limited pressing is a must-own for fans that reminds of the band's very earliest sonic roots, raw riffs and guttural vocals that all make for an intense and arresting album still now all these years later.

Review: Few could have predicted the impact Phil Collins would have when he decided to go solo following his first stint in Genesis, but then few were prepared for the iconic gated drums which would come to define the 80s. Opening with the ubiquitous air-drum anthem 'In The Air Tonight', it was an unintentional landmark like all the best ones are, written as a personal therapy after his first divorce and subsequently turned into one of the biggest sellers of 1981. With a huge sound that deserves only the finest treatment, Face Value now gets remastered and repressed as an audiophile double vinyl courtesy of those exacting folk at Analogue Productions.

Review: On his first solo album, 1981's Face Value, Genesis drummer-singer Phil Collins showed that he wasn't about to be left behind in the mire of classical-rock sludge. That LP boasted shorter songs and demonstrated that Collins had a true pop sensibility. Hello, I Must Be Going! continues that trend, with albeit some familiar patterns emerging, wrote Rolling Stone's John Milward; indulging a trend-bucking golden-oldie route, iridescing a rich luster of the classic rock old-school. This Analogue Productions (Atlantic Series) reissue of Hello, I Must Be Going! has the essential elements that make it a standout for your collection. First, the label turned to Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering to cut lacquers from a 1/4" EQ'd Dolby tape copy of the original master. Pressing on 180-gram vinyl is by Quality Record Pressings and RTI, the album comes housed in tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jackets with film lamination.

Review: The prolific and influential John Coltrane comitted many a seminal recording to vinyl across his career. His 1961 work My Favourite Things is one such album and it now gets a special new pressing as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Atlantic Records. The landmark album came from the same sessions as Coltrane Plays The Blues (1962) and Coltrane's Sound (1964), but marked something of a shift in his career. His playing is exploratory and innovative, unforced and naturally stylistic across gems like 'Everytime We Say Goodbye' and more.

Review: Released in 1960, Giant Steps was a watershed album for John Coltrane, solidifying the saxophone legend's reputation as one of the most influential and innovative musicians in jazz history, as well as delivering jazz to an increasingly mainstream audience, while garnering significant critical acclaim. Although this was John Coltrane's debut for Atlantic, he was concurrently performing and recording with Miles Davis. Within the space of less than three weeks, Coltrane would complete his work with Davis and company on another genre-defining disc, Kind Of Blue, before commencing his efforts on this one. Coltrane (tenor sax) is flanked here by essentially two different trios. Recording commenced in early May of 1959 with a pair of sessions that featured Tommy Flanagan (piano) and Art Taylor (drums), as well as Paul Chambers - who was the only bandmember other than Coltrane to have performed on every date. When recording resumed in December of that year, Wynton Kelly (piano) and Jimmy Cobb (drums) were instated, replicating the alternate non-Bill Evans lineup featured on 'Freddie The Freeloader' on Kind of Blue, sans Miles Davis of course. At the heart of these recordings, however, is the laser-beam focus of Coltrane's tenor solos.

Review: Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies celebrates its 50th Anniversary with this special Deluxe Edition which once again unleashes an onslaught of shock-rock brilliance. It is a landmark album that remains a pinnacle of Cooper's theatricality and musical prowess. With hits like 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' and the title track, the album is a darkly decadent journey through Cooper's twisted imagination and this all new edition across triple vinyl offers remastered tracks, rare demos and live recordings, all of which provided fans with a comprehensive glimpse into the album's creation. As such Billion Dollar Babies will captivate audiences both new and old with its blend of macabre theatrics and infectious rock anthems.

Review: Iam8bit do vital work in releasing the soundtracks of contemporary video games, many of which may have otherwise never heard any semblance of independent appreciation. This record is the soundtrack for the game Eastward, an adventure RPG game developed by Pixpil and published by Chucklefish, released in 2021. A whopping 73 tracks appear, all composed by one Joel Corelitz, who gradates a diverse range of paints on an emotional rollercoaster of a sonic palette, reflecting the game's story of a miner and a mysterious girl who embark on a journey across a post-apocalyptic, effective open world.

Review: As part of Atlantic Records' 75th Anniversary celebration, the label has launched an extensive year-long vinyl series featuring 90 releases spanning the entire history of the company, from its earliest days until the present. Of these emerges this latest reissue of Crosby, Stills & Nash's self-titled debut album, first released on the label all the way back in 1969. The album features some of CSN's most well known and iconic songs; 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,' 'Marrakesh Express,' 'Guinnevere,' 'Wooden Ships,' 'Helplessly Hoping' and 'Long Time Gone.' This album saw a shift in sound to what was popular at the time - blues based rock - opting for a more folk rock, and sometimes jazz-based sound. It would lay the foundations for the California Sound that would be popularised out of Laurel Canyon in the '70s. Artists such as The Eagles, Jackson Browne and Fleetwood Mac would take inspiration from the sound of this record.

Review: The debut solo album by David Crosby of Crosby, Stills & Nash fame, If I Could Only Remember My Name is an ironic title for an artist first striking out on their commercial own. But despite its faux-amnesiac title, this freak-folk opus is actually a striking claim to, not a loss of, personal musical identity. Following the success of 1970's Deja Vu with Stills & Nash, Crosby sought to expound on that album's methodology - hard psychedelic drugs, brushes with insanity, copious studio time - to produce a crisp, profound and multifaceted vision on the intersection of blues, folk and collective music-making, with every legend from Neil Young to Joni Mitchell to Graham Nash in tow. The highlight has to be, above all, 'Tamalpais High (At About 3)'.

Review: In the mid-80s, Svitlana Okhrimenko, Oleksandr Kohanovs'kyi, and Tamila Mazur, students at the Reinhold Glier Kyiv Academy of Music, formed the foundation of Cukor Bila Smert. Their blend of music and camaraderie led to the addition of Eugene Taran, who further helped shape the band's vision. Dubbed Sugar - White Death, their ironic moniker challenged media sensationalism and amidst endless musical exploration, they crafted two albums in 1988 and 1989. The band's unique "sugar calypso sound" emerged, a blend of Kohanovs'kyi's music and lyrics by Okhrimenko and Taran. A significant studio session in 1990 yielded tracks featured on the Mannered Music compilation which sparked international interest. Their journey concluded in 1993 with the release of "Selo" by Koka Records, and now some of the best bits make it onto this new collection.

Review: It was the album, or perhaps era, that nearly brought the whole thing crashing down around the members, threatening to cut short what has subsequently become one of the most longstanding, celebrated and influential British rock music stories at the fourth chapter - when there was clearly so much more left to write and read. LP four from The Cure is arguably up there with the darkest of hours, a brooding, claustrophobic gothic pop masterpiece that laid bare, and still does, the struggles of those involved, and ourselves. Fuelled by heavy drug use and with the underlying uncertainty that disbandment was a very real possibility as a result, with Robert Smith's plummeting mental health and in-fighting only adding to the troubles, nevertheless, Pornography is a powerhouse album which approaches stark and universally poignant themes without apology, helping generation after generation understand that somewhere someone gets it.

Review: There are so many pivotal albums in The Cure's imperious back catalogue, but Wish will always remain one which heralded the band's progression from indie heroes to universally adored treasures of British pop music. The gothic tendencies are absolutely still there in the moonlit charm of 'Open' et al, but the sound is direct and expansive, with plenty of space for monster hits like 'Friday I'm In Love'. The ability to let the light in ensured Robert Smith and co. could be popular as well as profound, and they've never looked back.

Review: To commemorate the 30 year Anniversary of Cypress Hill's debut album, Get On Down presents the complete album on 7 inch vinyl singles for the first time ever housed in a deluxe casebook. Cheeky, goblin-like rhymes come courtesy of lead vocalist B-Real and hypeman Sen Dog, doing justice to the two-tone rapper-hypeman formula of the day, trailblazed by Public Enemy. An important slice of history homing in on one of the few hip hop acts to straddle the rivalry between East and West Coast rap at the time.
