Users can simply drop the needle of the analogue turntable onto one of three distinct tracks on the physical record to play either the original song, its instrumental version, or the acapella - just like on a 12" single from back in the day.

This feature is powered by an enhanced DVS control tone exclusive to djay Pro AI which has a unique control data stream imprinted into the grooves of each of the three distinct sections of the vinyl.

AlgoRiddim have worked closely with some of the world's top DJs and carefully adapted djay's user interface to perfectly complement any connected hardware. It's a unique blend of tactile and touch based control. Moreover, djay's audio engine has been fine tuned for digital vinyl control to offer the tightest scratching, most accurate time-stretching, and lowest latency possible - no matter if you're using your Mac, iPad, or iPhone.

Q: What do I need in order to use DVS with djay?

A: DVS in djay is supported with any compatible mixer, turntable, and control vinyl (see below). Depending on which device you are using djay on, you might need one of the following adapters in order to connect your mixer:

iPad or Mac with USB-C port: USB-C to USB Adapter
iPad or iPhone with Lightning port: Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

Q: Which mixers are supported?

A: While djay supports any audio interface, mixer, and MIDI controller that is supported on the respective platform, the following DVS-compatible mixers have been pre-mapped and can be used plug-and-play with djay and DVS:

Review: Adam Port, &ME and Rampa at team up with Little Dragon are quite the collaboration here on 'Saving My Love', a one track 12' where the deep house sound of Berlin collides with Swedish pop sensibilities. Proper mood music for late night basement parties, the Keinemusik trio's idiosyncratic style of bold, emotive and futuristic groove is the perfect backdrop to Yukumi Nagano's breathtaking vocals. Tip!

Review: In celebration of their tenth birthday, Selador marks the occasion in style with a four-track collaborative EP, featuring tracks from 3D, Robert Owens, Olivier Giacomotto, Quivver, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Argia, and Jepe. The opening track, 'Known Love', is a deep, pulasting house tune that feels like an instant classic, perhaps thanks to the soulful, pop-tinged vocals - think LCD soundsystem meets Four Tet. 'Snailblazer', the second track on the EP, takes a much darker turn, with a chugging, EBM-esque feel. Full-bodied and complete with obscured vocals, this is the kind of track to pull out your bag when it's time to really get stuck in. On the B-side, 'Napkin Knowledge' draws on the glistening synths of eurodance, yet still securing the melodies to a grounded bassline and rhythm section. 'Salitre' is the perfect closing track, rising up in a gleaming, ecstatic melody, before delicately returning to ground level. A varied yet firmly cohesive collaborative release - the perfect way for Selador to kick off their 2023 catalogue.

Review: The Mindhelmet crew are working hard to whip up a strong identity around trippy strains of techno and house with a 90s flavour and a playful instinct. The fifth release on the label kicks off with 4D working some trancey analogue-isms around a stout beat, while Ramez has a slither of minimal electro informing some of the synth shapes on the celestially-charged 'Las Venus'. Label mainstay Josh Baker takes things deeper with the mysterious shimmer of 'Hot Pursuit', and then Arnic spreads out over the B side with the jacked up 'Fast Stepper' and a freaky vocal chop up called 'End Communication'.

Review: The Use of Weapons imprint has mastered the easy to grasp, hard to master formula of matching clutches of (excellent) original tracks from Cottam and label bosses Deep Space Orchestra with well-chosen and even better executed remixes from the likes of Hunee, Neville Watson and Marcello Napoletano. The fourth release sees a change in tack, with the label opting to focus on original material from 6th Borough Project, Haku, Andy Ash and of course Deep Space Orchestra. Graeme The Revenge Clark and Craig Smith kick off proceedings with the suitable thick set slow burning "Estranged Lover", though it's "Rugo" by Haku that impresses most. The new project of Deep Space Orchestra's Chris Barker, the track is a superb kaleidoscopic concoction of fizzing uptempo live percussion, synths and drum machines that has more than a touch of the Carl Craigs about it. Andy Ash switches proceedings back to chunky mutant discoid dirt with the heads down, tops off vibes of "Somehow" while the Deep Space Orchestra head for the expanses of future tech jazz with the ten minute odyssey "Erase Everything".
