Yamaha HS5 Matched Pair 5" Powered Studio Monitors (black, pair)
Cat: 785332 Rel: 20 Aug 20

Studio monitors
Notes: In the 15 years since they were introduced, the HS Series powered studio monitors have become a favourite in professional, project and home studio environments.
The new special edition HS5 MP Set includes two HS5 monitors, both manufactured using a unique process and both utilising specially selected parts. The result is a pair of monitors, each as closely matched to one another as is possible.

2-way bass-reflex bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor with 5" cone woofer and 1" dome tweeter
54Hz - 30kHz (-10dB), 74Hz - 24kHz (-3dB) frequency response
45W LF plus 25W HF bi-amp system for high-performance 70W power amplification
ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM response controls
XLR and TRS phone jack inputs accept balanced or unbalanced signals

The HS Series embodies the design philosophy on which Yamaha has long insisted for its studio monitors, and is now available as a special paired model that uses selected volume parts. The paired model series bears the designation of MP (Matched Pair), and MP stickers are affixed to the back of each unit. Manufactured at the same time and with paired serial numbers, the HS MP models can play a valued role in your recording, mixing, and mastering work.

Yamaha Pro Audio's history of aspiration and innovation goes back to 1969. Since the creation of Yamaha's first pro audio products (the VA120 and VA180 vocal amp systems), they've repeatedly aspired and innovated to create a wide-ranging lineup for applications including broadcast studios and commercial spaces, such as mixing consoles, power amplifiers, speakers, processors, and immersive sound solutions, each with the aim of becoming the new standard in their respective market.

Monitor speakers are one of the product areas that must be mentioned when speaking of Yamaha Pro Audio's fifty-year history. The NS10M STUDIO which went on sale in 1977 was a studio monitor speaker loved by numerous engineers, and earned a role in studios around the world. In 1998 came the MSP5 powered monitor speaker which focused on providing the painstakingly faithful playback of the original sound that is demanded from nearfield monitors. Subsequently, the MSP/MSP STUDIO series that appeared during the period 2000 through 2008 benefited from a full measure of the know-how and technology that has been accumulated in the field of pro studio monitor design, going on sale as a flagship model that boasted a stunning degree of perfection.

Yamaha have insisted on complete fidelity to the original sound and the ability to reproduce the subtle changes of tone and position in the mix, and these principles are exemplified in the HS series that appeared in 2005 with its bright white cones. As high-bit and high-sampling-rate continue as trends in the field of music production, leading to an increasing need for high-quality nearfield monitors, these speakers deliver the high-quality sound and accuracy that are ideal for the studio environment. In 2013, fusing the know-how and cutting-edge analysis technology that has been developed through many years of studio monitor design, and carefully rethinking every element, the next-generation HS series have been announced, adds yet more polish to the accuracy of these speakers.

Yamaha Reface YC Electric Combo Organ
Cat: 580980 Rel: 15 Sep 15

Electric combo organ: Fat and punchy additive synthesis
Notes: Legendary sound meets the generation of mobile musicians: With the reface Mobile Mini Keyboards, Yamaha introduces a small revolution. Based on legendary synthesizer models like the DX7 or CS series, the company presents four compact instruments, which play to their strengths on the road, on stage or even in the studio. reface is perfect for songwriters, sound designers, live performers and those looking for access to an instrument which allows them to react when inspiration strikes. The online collaboration with musicians around the globe via Yamaha's 'Soundmondo' sound community and the easy connection to notebook, Apple iPhone and iPad are making the four models ideal for being creative together. Battery power and integrated stereo-speakers make the reface quartet ready to play at all times.

From Pink Floyd to Michael Jackson to U2 - with over 40 years in synthesizer history, Yamaha influenced Rock and Pop music like no other instrument manufacturer. Legendary models and series like the CS Control Synthesizer or the DX7 are an inherent part of music history. Time for a small revolution: With the reface Mobile Mini Keyboards, Yamaha presents a range of ultra-mobile synthesizers and a stage-piano that impress with their compact design and web-based sound-exchange. They build the bridge between the sound tradition of the legendary prime fathers and the cooperative music production over the internet.

It started as a sketch of a young Yamaha design team: Under the concept name "reimagined interfaces of classic Yamaha keyboards" the group presented a series of four compact instruments, in which every single one celebrates the personality of a legendary Yamaha instrument - but with a character of its own reimagined for today's 'on-the-go life style'. The concept also integrates a web-based sound exchange between musicians and allows a cooperative sound design. With the introduction of reface, this vision becomes reality.

At home, in a studio, in a park or on a train - the compact design and the powerful integrated stereo speakers allow inspiration in seconds - without any equipment to set up. Creativity can be realised anywhere: Thanks to the battery power, all reface Mobile Mini Keyboards are ready at any time - even when there is no power socket nearby. The setup is done in seconds, even the connection to notebook, iPhone or iPad for the recording and saving of sounds.

All four reface models are presenting themselves as a creative toy for sound design. But despite their compact design, they are professional instruments that are inviting to play. All models feature Yamaha's brand new 'HQ' Mini-Action keyboard with 37 keys (3 octaves). The user interfaces were designed separately for each instrument introducing features such as drawbars for the reface YC organ and the capacitive Multi-Touch surface on the reface DX.

reface YC: Electric Combo Organ - Rich, punchy sounds are its area of expertise: The reface YC offers additive synthesis paired with a unique power of expression using nine drawbars and virtual rotary speakers. The instrument combines five different models of organs, the sound is created using a special "Organ Flutes Tone Generator". In addition to the possibility to carry around five organs in a single piece of hardware without breaking your back, the reface YC delivers the authentic spirit of playing an organ using the smallest user interface possible.

All four reface models offer a rich potential for creative sound design - and the opportunity to get in touch with the whole world: With Soundmondo, Yamaha created an online hub connecting the reface community all over the globe. Soundmondo offers creative possibilities to create, share and discover sounds. The connection is established intuitively using a special Web MIDI technology for Google Chrome. As soon as a reface model is plugged in, it offers the possibility of direct synchronisation. Voices and set lists can be stored in a private area as well as shared with the community.

Quick and easy storage as well as management of sounds with iPhone and iPad: The free reface iOS app for Apple mobile devices makes data transfer extremely simple. A name, a picture and multiple tags can be applied to stored voices; they can be sorted in different ways as well. Search functionality is also included. Using a set list, voices can be arranged in a specific order and recalled one after the other. Another impressive feature is the possibility to exchange voices using QR codes: A distinctive code can be generated from any stored voice and can then be shared using the different options available with iOS. It can for example be sent via email or read using the camera of another iPad to import it into the app.

Yamaha MG12 12-Channel Analogue Mixing Console
Yamaha MG12 12-Channel Analogue Mixing Console (12-channel analogue studio mixer)
Cat: 519643 Rel: 28 Mar 14

12 channel mixing console: Max. 6 Mic / 12 Line Inputs (4 mono + 4 stereo) / 2 GROUP Buses + 1 Stereo Bus / 2 AUX (incl. FX)
Notes: 12-channel version of the MG mixer series packs a lot of functionality into a small footprint. Class A pre-amps, three-band EQ and neat, ergonomic design. Great value.

For a more precise control and enhancement of your sound, XU models of the MG Series come equipped with a suite of Yamaha's renowned SPX effects. Featuring high-resolution Chorus, Flanger, Distortions, Reverb and Delay, all with editable parameters, these are the same multieffects processors used on Yamaha's high-end mixing consoles, giving you the tools you need to elevate your mixes to a higher plane.

For more than a century, Yamaha has been building a legacy of superior craftsmanship and innovation exemplified in all of our products, from an unrivalled catalog of world-class musical instruments to touring-grade professional audio. Now in its third incarnation, the MG Series embodies this pursuit of design excellence, and incorporates some of the same technologies developed for use in high-end professional consoles, including studio-quality preamps, powerful digital processing, and a rugged, reliable construction. With an intuitive, easy-to-use interface, the MG Series boasts an extensive lineup of compact mixing consoles with models ranging from six to twenty channels, suitable for a diverse range of users and applications. For installed, recording, or live music settings, the solid construction and flexible design of these consoles lets you shape your sound with confidence, continually delivering peak performance and a level of sound quality and reliability unrivalled in its class.

D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps): This is where it all starts. Everything you do as a sound engineer is dependent on the quality of your preamps, which determines the direction your mix will take, and ultimately how good it is going to sound. MG Series mixing consoles feature Yamaha's studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilize an inverted Darlington circuit comprising two cascading transistors in a configuration that provides more power with lower impedance. Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

High Quality Sound Op-amp: The head amp determines sound quality, and op-amp integrated circuits are one of the most important parts in the head amp circuit. MG Series mixers feature new, high-quality, custommade MG01 op-amps that we developed in cooperation with the semiconductor manufacturer. Although many other Op-amps prioritize electrical design and efficiency, we worked directly with the semiconductor manufacturer to focus on sound quality first. MG01 op-amps feature redesigned circuitry in which even the internal components and wiring have been optimized, and use materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire to achieve superb resolution.

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch: With phantom power, MG Series consoles allow you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and high sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channel with PAD switch accepts MIC to line level of inputs, PAD Switch attenuates high input signals that often accompany mic'ed instruments during performance, avoiding the clippingthat can seriously affect your mix.

When was the last time you heard guitar without EQ or a completely unprocessed vocal on one of your favorite songs? Probably never. Yamaha mixers are famous for their flat response and sonic purity, but it often takes more than a perfectly-captured instrumental performance or vocal to achieve a professional-sounding mix. Equipped with some of the same state-of-the-art functionality featured on Yamaha's high-end consoles, the MG Series gives you the tools you need to produce high quality sound that is uniquely your own.

The brackets are cut precisely by laser from a sturdy metal and then coated twice for a nice smooth finish that matches the Mantis light gray color. They come with sixteen screws and special washers that help hold the screw in place during assembly and keep a tiny gap between the brackets and the Mantis. Installation is fairly simple and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

***UPDATE - MAY 2021 ***
As of May 2021, all Mantis cases shipped have a small update to the design. The connector for SyncBus is no longer included. This connector was never used as Tiptop didn't develop the cable for it, and the connector is no longer in production by the manufacturer so it was removed. The Mantis still has the same power supply and functions as before.

Tiptop Audio Mantis 2x104HP Modular Synthesiser Enclosure Case (orange, UK power supply)
Cat: 622920 Rel: 16 Dec 20

2x104HP modular synthesiser enclosure case
Notes: With Mantis, Tiptop took their years of experience with Eurorack to create a low-cost case that makes the Eurorack modular synthesizer look, work, and feel like a professional instrument. Mantis is an instrument that is at home on stage, touring, or in the center of the studio.

Mantis has two rows of 104HP for you to rack your modules. It comes fully powered and assembled, just drop in your modules and play.

Using its sophisticated leg mechanism, you can set it to three different positions: 0, 45, and 90 degrees.

Power Power and more Power! With Mantis, say bye-bye to the tedious, never-ending calculation of current consumption for the i12V power. Mantis comes with a juicy Zeus power supply that delivers plenty of power both now and for the future.

Mantis is beautiful and the color contrast between legs and body gives it its identity. Legs are offered in 4 different colors so anyone can find the right look.

Mantis comes with real Z-Rails made according to Eurorack enclosure standards. No sliding nuts or wrong spacing! It also has keyed power connectors to help protect your modules from damage from plugging the power in in reverse.

Using the optional bracket accessory Mantis can be doubled up to 416HP! Multiply your Mantis and watch your studio setup grow...

Teenage Engineering OP-Z Wireless 16-Track Multitimbral Synthesiser & Sequencer
Cat: 607501 Rel: 06 Nov 18

Portable 16-track sequencer with built-in synthesis & sampling
Notes: Centred around an advanced 16-track sequencer where all tracks run independently, OP-Z makes individual track speed and track length possible. In addition to this, it's possible to add unique step behaviours to every one of the 16 steps: a feature we call step components. Think of this as dual layer sequencing where the first layer is a traditional 16 step sequencer, while the second layer adds variation per cycle, note variation, micro sequencing, direction, parameter changes, re-trig's and much more, all on just one single step. In theory, it's possible to create a complete song by programming only the 1st step of the 16, using multiple step components to create endless variations, a technique recommended for experts and engineers only. Seriously, in some situations it's actually almost impossible to predict the complete length of a sequence. So, we created a special component for those situations named 'catch up', that forces a track to exit at a certain step to stay in sync. In total, there are 14 components sorted into 3 groups: triggers, note variations and specials.

All 14 components have 10 values and behaviour programs. The product of all this is that you have 140 ways to alter just one single step. Probably more than most people can handle. And to make step composing really intuitive and super-fast, all keys are backlit with multi-colour LED's with instant machine feedback, a must-have for poorly lit club gigs and late-night-in-bed composing. Actually, the print on the unit itself is made with a special glow-in-the dark-paint. A pretty cool 'world's first' for synthesizers.

Bring your own screen:

OP-Z is a completely stand-alone synthesizer and composer, ready to be used at anytime and anywhere, but for those of you who need that extra injection of vibrant graphics, interactive user interface and awesome synced animations to feel inspired, we introduce the concept of BYOS - bring your own screen. You already have the phone with that gorgeous retina display in your pocket, right? Just download the OP-Z app, pair the two devices and you are all set. Add cellular connectivity, WiFi and powerful graphics processing to that, and the concept certainly makes sense. All this tech when connected to the OP-Z adds several unique features - like using the phone's camera, snapping a series of photos and arranging them to a beat, creating a synchronised music video 'a-la-minute'.

We support Dropbox on IOS as well, so transfer of your custom artwork on to your IOS device will be instant and without cables. To eliminate any latency between image and sound, we ported the OP-Z sound engine to run simultaneously on your IOS device. Something we call 'dual domain synthesis'.

Photomatic:

Snap a series of photos and sequence them to a beat. Compose a song and create a completely synchronised music video 'a-la-minute'. The included photomatic feature is just pure instant fun.

Custom graphics:

By adding any artwork or a photo to your IOS device camera roll or to a Dropbox folder, you can create high quality custom graphics, patterns, colour palettes or stop motion videos. Anything can be animated in pace with your music.

Create your own world:

OP-Z is tailor made for unity 3D, the world's most popular multi-platform game engine. Chosen because of its intuitive workflow and excellent VR support. A dedicated OP-Z toolkit for unity will be available at launch that opens up the entire machine.

Full unity 3D integration:

Teenage engineering have worked closely with Keijiro Takahashi and the unity Tokyo studio to fully integrate OP-Z with the unity game engine. As Keijiro-san is both a full time software evangelist at unity and a renowned VJ at night, we have had access to a selection of Keijiro-san's personally developed tools and shaders which deliver stunning 3D graphics that run at full speed on iPhone or iPad. Keijiro-san's tool-set and real life experience in performances with motion graphics have been invaluable in making OP-Zan inspiring live tool for moving images in sync with music. The weakest point of VJ-ing has always been the creation of content. By exposing the inner control data of the OP-Z and linking it to unity, users can create anything within unity, build the project and just drop the build to a Dropbox folder. Customizing every single polygon in a performance.

If it don't have tape, it's not OP:

The new tape feature is probably one of the coolest sonic features of the OP-Z. Imagine a short snippet of tape secretly recording everything that is programmed in the sequencer - all in real-time. And with its own dedicated track it's possible to sequence the tape, trig the in-point, length and speed. OP-Z will come with a range of tape reels with unique character and functions. Scrub, scratch, wind-up and mess-up!

Use the Launcher to select from podcast, music, interviews, field recording and real 6-track recording. Start fast, start right and get exactly what you need.

Audio for video production

When shooting a video, you want to be able to focus on your video production and not worry about your audio. The Portacapture X6 was built with video production in mind. The workflow, presets and user settings save you countless steps. The X6 has your back with its 96 kHz/32-bit float recording technology. Not only does this mean you will have the highest quality audio, but you will have a dynamic range that allows you to overcome those less-than-ideal realities that can often occur on a shoot.

The X6 even gives you a timecode sync option* via Bluetooth (with optional AK-BT1) allowing you to align your audio with your video, even when you have no audio on your camera. Upgrade your audio and reduce your worries with your own Portacapture X6.

Record your way

The Portacapture X6 is ready to record with a few quick taps. The internal high-quality stereo microphones can instantly be rotated from A-B to a true X-Y mic pattern to allow for dialogue or spatial music recording. Have your own mics? Use those thanks to the two included XLR inputs which can also handle line level sources.

The mic preamplifiers are Tascam HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) - providing ultra-low noise and clean transparent audio based on more than 50 years of Tascam know-how.

Record six tracks (four individual track plus stereo mix) simultaneously and even use the X6 as your 6-in/2-out USB audio interface to connect to your computer.

Capture every bit

It would be great if every time you need to capture audio, everything is perfect. Not too loud, not too soft. Of course that is not the reality for most of us. Sometimes a voice or sound will be really soft and in other cases it is blasting. Even in these extremes, you are expected to capture the sound and deliver well-finished audio.

The 32-bit floating point recording technology in the Portacapture X6 gives you a much lower floor and higher ceiling for sound material. The result is that your recording can capture everything from the quietest rustle to the loudest spectacle.

Control the recorder from your phone (with optional Bluetooth adapter)

In those cases where you want to put your audio recorder in one place and operate it from another, the X6 has you covered. With the AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) and the free Portacapture Control app, it's easy to remote control your X6 wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet.

Imagine the possibilities!

Ready-to-publish audio anywhere

With the Portacapture X6, your audio is ready to share. Built-in signal processing, including a compressor, limiter, high-pass filter, EQ and reverb, adds that studio polish.

Whether you need to tame the wind when recording outside or want to add the ambiance of reverb to your vocals, the X6 has you covered. From smoothing out your input to preventing extreme peaks or eliminating plosives in dialogue, you can count on the Portacapture X6.

Portable Production Sampler
Notes: *** Version 1.3 features enhancesd drum tracks. ***

Portable hand-held sampler with serious power, originally launched on Kickstarter and now in production. One-touch sampling via a range of inputs, internal sequencer, built-in effects and resampling.

Supplier's Notes:
Easy Sampling

You can easily sample any sounds with the built-in microphone, your microphone or electric guitar connected to the input, or even a USB-connected smartphone or PC/Mac.

You can even sample applying an insert effect. For example, your electric guitar can be added to Distortion or your vocal to Compressor.

Sampled sounds can be quickly assigned to pads with auto-slicing, and can also be edited manually in detail by viewing the waveform display.

Sampled sounds can also be easily matched to the tempo and key of your song.

You can also resample a sequenced phrase of sampled sounds including applied effects.

Flexible Song-making

Each song project has 16 sequential parts called "Scenes". Each Scene has 10 sequencer tracks which can behave in different ways, as described below:

- Loop Track: Sequencer for a looping sample
- Shots Track: Sequencer for a single one-shot sample
- Drum Track: Step sequencer for drums
- Instrument Track: Piano roll type sequencer for musical instruments
- MIDI Track: Piano roll type sequencer for external MIDI equipment

Three additional Global Audio Tracks are available for longer recordings like vocals and external instruments. These tracks can record multiple takes which can be spliced into a final perfect version. Traditional "punch-in" style recording is also supported.

Easily structure a full song by sequencing scenes and setting how many times they repeat before moving to the next scene. You can set the order of scenes via a copy function.

A song can be mixed down through a mastering effect, and be exported to a single audio file or individual audio files (stem files) for each track.

Effortless Music Streaming

You can stream your music in perfect quality with a single USB cable, without any driver installation or troublesome menu settings.

You can livestream your voice and performance in real time while playing along with your song. And they can be controlled with crossfading and mixing with effects.

SoMa Laboratory Pulsar-23 Utilities For Pulsar-23 Drum Machine (pin version)
Cat: 951305 Rel: 14 Nov 23

A set of simple auxiliary modules to expand the functionality of the Pulsar-23 drum machine.
Notes: *** This version of UTILITIES comes with PULSAR-23 style turrets designed for connecting alligator clips. ***

UTILITIES contains a set of simple auxiliary modules to expand the functionality of the PULSAR-23 drum machine. UTILITIES modules can also be used with any gear that works with CV signals (Eurorack, semi-modular synthesizers, etc.).

The modules included in UTILITIES can be divided into two groups:
1) Passive elements such as switches, resistors, capacitors.
2) Various types of amplifiers and waveshapers, linear, non-linear, controlled and uncontrolled.
Passive elements are designed to expand the possibilities of switching and controlling the PULSAR.

Linear amplifiers are needed when you need to feed a signal from a device operating in a lower voltage format to the PULSAR inputs. For example, it can be a step sequencer with an output voltage of 5 volts, while the PULSAR needs 10 volts to fully trigger the drum modules. Or it could be the output of a cassette tape recorder, which has an output of 1 volt, while for normal operation the PULSAR needs an input level of an audio signal of 5 volts. Non-linear and controlled amplifiers and waveshapers are designed to control the signal level, while simultaneously changing its spectrum, distorting its shape and adding harmonics. The circuitry of these amplifiers is very simple and based on the early developments of the transistor era, with its inherent beauty and grace.

UTILITIES connectors are made in the PULSAR-23 format on pins designed to connect the alligator clips. There are also adapters for 3.5mm Eurorack mini-jacks.

The top panel and enclosure of UTILITIES are made of PCBs, which significantly reduced the cost of the device.

Solid State Logic SSL 12 12-In/8-Out USB & MIDI Audio Interface
Cat: 912626 Rel: 01 Dec 22

The perfect audio interface for producers and engineers who demand uncompromising performance and versatility from a desktop device.
Notes: An affordable taste of the legendary Solid State Logic sound, an iconic name in high-end recording consoles. The SSL 12 offers four analogue inputs and four analogue outputs plus eight-channel ADAT digital expansion and two stereo headphone outs which can also be used as line outs.

Supplier notes:
Class-leading performance, in the studio and on the road

The Solid State Logic SSL 12 is the perfect audio interface for producers and engineers who demand uncompromising performance and versatility from a desktop device. SSL 12 is capable of being both a studio centrepiece and a portable production hub to take with you on the road. Four SSL-designed mic pre-amps with uncompromising low-noise and high gain performance, Legacy 4K analogue enhancement for adding that signature SSL colour, class-leading dynamic range from premium-quality converters, comprehensive monitoring section, ADAT expandability, talkback mic, flexible headphone outputs and an intuitive console-style software mixer. SSL 12 just set a new bar for what you can expect from a unit that is entirely USB-powered.

Big studio features, small desktop footprint

SSL 12 is loaded with an extraordinary amount of professional studio features normally reserved for high-end rackmount interfaces. For tracking, the ADAT connectivity, together with the on-board talkback mic and an incredibly powerful cue mixer (that allows you to create up to 4 independent near-zero latency performer mixes) will handle the most demanding of recording sessions. For mixing, alternative monitor switching and assignable front panel control room functions puts everything you need at your fingertips. For production, USB Loopback, MIDI I/O and DC-coupled outputs for CV control of synths and FX equip you with a serious toolkit to keep the creativity flowing. To top it all off, the ever-expanding SSL Production Pack (packed with a selection of must-have virtual instruments, plug-ins, samples and DAWs) helps to bring your productions to life.

SSL Studio Quality and Know-How

For over 50 years, SSL have been designing cutting-edge mixing consoles and hardware processors, as used by the world's most recognised artists and recording studios. Over that time, their reputation as a world-leading manufacturer of professional audio equipment has centred around a constant pursuit of audio excellence and technical innovation, accomplished through streamlining production workflows and advanced studio ergonomics. SSL 12 takes the 'traditional' desktop audio interface where it's never been before with an incredible array of features in a compact footprint that delivers outstanding audio quality. Featuring the familiar Alps pots, Neutrik connectors and an attractive brushed aluminium front panel, SSL 12 is built to last whether you're using it in the studio or on location.

Real Analogue Enhancement Inspired By The SSL 4000-Series (4K) Console

SSL has a history of innovation in analogue electronics and console design. Whether it be the sound of the classic '242' and '292' EQ circuits, the punch of the legendary SSL Bus Compressor or the incredible bandwidth and sonic accuracy of the ground-breaking SuperAnalogue designed mic amps and consoles, SSL are always moving forward with analogue. Legacy 4K is an all-analogue enhancement effect, inspired by the character of an SSL 4000-series console (often referred to as '4K'). It distils two essential characteristics of the 4K sound into a single circuit. The first thing engaging the Legacy 4K circuit will do is to introduce a forward, yet musical sounding high frequency EQ boost, helping to add some excitement to your vocal or instrument. Secondly, it'll add some subtle analogue distortion with finely tuned harmonic content, helping bolster any sound with more edge and personality.

Softube Console 1 Fader Mixer Controller (black) (B-STOCK)
Cat: 914138 Rel: 24 Oct 19

B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

Improving feel and workflow, and making the best of hardware and software available in one place, Console 1 Fader allows you to raise the sound quality bar to new heights. Mixing a masterpiece isn't easy, but with Console 1 Fader there's no limit to what you can do. Now's the time.

Ten touch-sensitive 100 mm Alps motorized faders give premium professional feel and feedback, while the weighty powder-coated steel chassis means durability and substance in a sleek Scandinavian design.

Fader includes two console emulations (Tube and Discrete). Way more than a simple controller, Fader enriches the sound of your tracks in the same ways as a true analog console.

Riding faders is muscle memory for many mix engineers. For those of us who play the desk like an instrument, Console 1 Fader gives quick and intuitive control over volume, saturation, filtering, and much more.

The Console 1 mixing ecosystem is so much more than a simple DAW/plug-in controller. It's an efficient, elegant, and amazing-sounding modern mixing solution, combining hardware and software to give you the best of both worlds: the versatility, affordability, and usability of in-the-box mixing, alongside the workflow, feel, and focus dedicated hardware can bring.

Console 1 Fader can be used alone, or in combination with the original Console 1 channel strip controller for a tight 'complete desk' experience. You can even use multiple Console 1 Fader units to build the ideal workflow for your specific studio.

There are many ways to mix a masterpiece, but riding faders is a matter of muscle memory for a lot of us. And for good reason - reaching out and grabbing five or ten different sounds or groups at once, and quickly adjusting, listening, adjusting, listening, balancing... it's a full-body discipline, and software alone can't come close.

Tapping into the same purpose-designed software environment as the original Console 1 channel strip controller, Fader brings new levels of control over the wider world of your mix. You can ride up to ten channels at once, working volume, high-and-low-cut filter values, drive and drive character (modeled desk saturation), and more. Then page up for ten more channels. And ten more, until you have easy access to your whole mix, even when tracks number into the hundreds.

Expandable with world-class sounds
Because all the audio signal processing happens in our award-winning component-modeled software, you can switch out the 'circuitry' of your console instantaneously for a different desk sound across your whole project, or even channel by channel.

In addition to the two analog console sounds Fader ships with, you can purchase any of our Console 1 channel strips and use those classic desk sounds with Fader.

Selected features

Fader modes
Fader allows you to quickly and intuitively control track volume, drive level, drive character, input gain, low cut, high cut, and up to three send levels, all from the same high quality motorized faders.

Transport controls
The three assignable buttons work by default as basic transport controls for the major DAWs, but each can be assigned to a keycommand of your choice (e.g. CTRL+Z), for whatever use you can imagine.

Encoder
Mounted on a high-grade all-metal potentiometer, Console 1 Fader's single encoder offers control of pan per track, but also unlocks a powerful stereo spatialization tool, to widen or consolidate your individual tracks, situating each sound perfectly in your mix.

Layer mode
With our innovative new 'Layer Mode' you can create layers of tracks, putting many levels of mixing at your fingertips. Low cut all your guitars at once, or saturate your groups early on for a top-down effect in seconds.

In short
A 10-fader approach to Console 1, our hybrid hardware/software mixing ecosystem
High quality hardware, designed and built for both feel and function
Take fast and intuitive control of volume, saturation, filtering, and more
Two awesome-sounding component-modeled console emulations included
Expand your sonic options with Console 1 expansion channel strips (sold separately)
'Layer Mode' allows you to organise and affect your mix in powerful new ways
Spatializer tool offers fast per-channel control of stereo width
Works with all major DAWs straight out of the box - no MIDI-mapping required
Use alone, or in combination with the original Console 1 channel strip controller

RME Digiface USB 66-Channel Bus-Powered USB 2.0 ADAT Audio Interface
Cat: 641232 Rel: 31 Mar 17

66-channel bus-powered USB 2.0 ADAT audio interface
Notes: *** Complimentary warranty on this product for 5 years if purchased from Juno- UK warranty only***

This compact, portable and lightweight audio interface (only 220 g /0.49 lbs) transfers digital audio data in SPDIF and ADAT format to Windows and Mac computers.

The latest Plug and Play technology guarantees a simple installation, even for the inexperienced user. Numerous unique features as well as RME's robust drivers enable a quick, efficient and comfortable operation of the Digiface USB.

The Digiface USB is an extremely compact & portable digital audio interface with 4 optical ADAT / SPDIF I/Os, and an analog high-quality line/phones output via 6.3 mm TRS jack. Continuing the legacy of RME's famous HDSP Digiface, a triple ADAT I/O interface with phones and PCI interface, Digiface USB simplifies connection with USB 2, does not need an external power supply, and even adds another optical I/O, resulting in 32 channels input and output each when using ADAT optical.

The analog output hosts channels 33/34, and can be used freely thanks to TotalMix FX, RME's routing and monitoring solution that knows nearly no limits in routing and mixing (the Digiface USB does not include FX).

Each single optical port can use either ADAT (up to 8 channels) or SPDIF (stereo). While the inputs adapt automatically to the received signal format, the outputs can be individually switched between ADAT and SPDIF operation. Supported are SMUX and SMUX4. Therefore at 192 kHz either 8 channels via 4 x SPDIF or ADAT are possible on both inputs and outputs.

Its small size, weight and bus-powered operation make the Digiface USB extremely versatile and useful. It could even serve as simple headphone amp for mobile use.

Like all the latest RME interfaces, the Digiface USB also includes the powerful digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX. It allows for practically unlimited mixing and routing operations, with all inputs and playback channels simultaneously, to any hardware outputs. The Digiface USB does not have a DSP, so there are no FX available. Still it includes a dedicated Control Room section with Talkback, Main/Phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote controllability via Mackie or OSC protocol, and much more.

Here are some typical applications for TotalMix:

- Setting up delay-free submixes (headphone mixes). The Digiface USB allows for up to 17 fully independent stereo submixes. On an analog mixing desk, this would equal 34 Aux sends.
- Unlimited routing of inputs and outputs (free utilisation, patchbay functionality).
- Distributing signals to several outputs at a time. TotalMix offers state-of-the-art splitter and distributor functions.
- Simultaneous playback of different programs via a single stereo output. The ASIO multiclient driver supports the usage of several programs at the same time. When done on different playback channels TotalMix provides the means to mix and monitor these on a single stereo output.
- Mixing of the input signal to the playback signal (complete ASIO Direct Monitoring). RME not only is the pioneer of ADM, but also offers the most complete implementation of the ADM functions.
- Integration of external devices. Use TotalMix to insert external effects devices, be it in the playback or in the record path. Depending on the current application, the functionality equals insert or effects send and effects return, for example as used during real-time monitoring when adding some reverb to the vocals.
- Every single input channel, playback channel and hardware output features a Peak and RMS level meter, calculated in hardware. These level displays are very useful to determine the presence and routing destinations of the audio signals.

Presonus Studio One 5 Professional Music Production Software (download card)
Cat: 876385 Rel: 06 May 22

Record, produce, compose, mix, master, and perform, all from a single, intuitive application.
Notes: Create without boundaries.

Record, produce, compose, mix, master, and perform-all from a single, intuitive application. Only Studio Oner 5 provides integrated tools that take you from initial inspiration to mastered production, from full-length album to setlist on stage. The standard for end-to-end production, Studio One is the DAW that does it all.

Drag-and-drop everything.

Studio One pioneered the often-imitated drag-and-drop workflow that continues to be a guiding principle in Presonus' design philosophy. Audioloops, virtual instruments, plug-in effects, and even presets can all be dragged into your session from Studio One's innovative Browser. Copy FX Chains from one channel to another simply by dragging-and-dropping. Convert MIDI to audio or audio to MIDI using drag-and-drop. Upload and download files to and from your PreSonus Sphere Workspaces by drag-and-drop. Ease of use is at the heart of Studio One, so your mind stays focused on your inspiration.

Perfect harmony.

The only DAW with Harmonic Editing for both audio and MIDI, Studio Oner 5 offers Chord Track, a songwriter's dream come true. Create, audition, and change chord progressions and even have older parts follow a newer, better chord structure, thanks to the inspiration Harmonic Editing can provide. With version 5.3, you can now drag chords from the Chord Track to an Instrument Track to begin composing right away. Chord notes can even be extracted directly from audio by detecting chords and then dragging the audio event to an Instrument Track.

Inspiring plug-ins.

With a complete suite of effects plug-ins, Studio Oner 5 supercharges your mixing. These plug-ins are so good we've made a few available for use in any DAW by popular demand. From State Space Modeled guitar amps to lush reverbs and polyrhythmic delays, Studio One has all the plug-ins you need to mix and produce. Studio One Professional's unique Pipeline XT plug-in lets you use boutique and vintage analogue signal processors as easily as software plug-ins. Studio One's powerful Splitter plug-in lets you run multiple plug-ins in parallel on a single channel.

Analogue mixing with digital ease.

The proprietary Mix Engine FX plug-ins provide State Space Models of classic analogue consoles that can process your mix across channels on any bus, collectively. This isn't a stereo bus plug-in, this is multi-source processing that re-creates true analogue circuit behaviour like console input-gain saturation, analogue noise, and crosstalk-all painstakingly modelled component by component from real-world hardware.

Produce without limits.

Forget laborious transposition, cutting, pasting, and moving when arranging. Audition new arrangement ideas on the fly with a simple click of your mouse. Use Scratch Pads to test arrangements. The flexible Arranger Track makes moving sections of Songs as easy as moving Parts. Powerful comping tools make assembling a perfect take simple, efficient, and fun. A robust suite of tools ranging from transient detection to multiple slicing and time-stretching features makes editing multitrack drums blazingly fast. And with groundbreaking Harmonic Editing-the most flexible implementation ever-no other program can approach the ease of arranging and songwriting that Studio One 5 delivers.

Edit audio and MIDI- fast.

Clip Gain Envelopes let you polish performances or remove glitches with adding a plug-in to your effects chain. Convert audio to MIDI and MIDI to audio with a simple drag-and-drop for blazing fast sample replacement. Replace drum sounds with samples simply by dragging the source track to an Impact XT track. The combined Arrow and Range Tools boost your audio editing efficiency by merging the most frequently used tools into one. Select, move, split, or duplicate Events; trim start and end points of Events; adjust fades; and change the overall Event level in one seamless action.

A sound as unique as you.

Inspiring virtual instruments and unique Multi Instruments let you combine instruments to create your own unique library of sounds. You'll create beats faster than ever with Impact XT, our comprehensive rhythm-production environment. Build your own sampled instrument with Sample One XT. From polyphonic analogue to monophonic subtractive synthesis, Studio One has the sounds that make you want to create. Presence XT can be expanded with Add-on packs like Deep Flight One and PreSonus Studio Grand. Aux Channels let you easily use your hardware synths, drum machines, and groove boxes as part of your productions, so dust off that TX81Z or Portastudio and put them back to work! However you create, Studio One has a tool that makes the job easy.

For events or gigs that call for more than one microphone for MCing or formal announcements, the NS4FX features 2 independent 1/4" microphone inputs with dedicated volume and tone controls. The Mic 1 input can be easily switch to an Auxiliary option to allow audio from a smartphone or external media device to be played through the RCA inputs on the back of the controller. Livestreamers that regularly feature guests or play external audio from other sources will certainly appreciate the audio freedom that the Numark NS4FX provides.

High-Quality, Performance-Focused Decks

The NS4FX is packed with all the pro DJ features needed for exceptional performances. The high-quality, touch-sensitive jog wheels are expertly calibrated for precision mixing and scratching. The centre of the wheels features a vibrant LED display that shows track position, BPM, pitch range, and time. The Layer button on each deck allows each side to toggle control quickly between multiple decks, making it easy to layer and mix up to 4 tracks at the same time. The long pitch sliders on each deck with selectable range offer ultra-precise control over tempo when mixing, and the Pitch Bend buttons allow for fine adjustments for perfectly aligned mixes. The 16 Performance Pads offer limitless mixing possibilities with selectable pad modes including Cue, Auto Loop, Fader Cuts, and Sampler (additional pad modes can be unlocked with Serato DJ Pro).

Professional DJ Looping and Effects Control

A dedicated loop section with multipliers on each deck grants quick access and control over seamless loops to extend mixes or craft custom transitions. To add additional flavour and creativity, the interactive FX section features 6 quick-launch software effects that are triggered by using the sturdy and fun paddle toggle switches. The FX area also provides full hardware control over the wet/dry mix and beat division to help DJs craft artistic and expressive performances.

Serato DJ Pro Ready

The Numark NS4FX comes with Serato DJ Lite software, allowing DJs to start mixing with 2 channels right away. Since the NS4FX is fully mapped and ready for Serato DJ Pro, DJs can upgrade to a full-featured, 4-channel mixing experience whenever they'd like!

Native Instruments Maschine MK3 Music Production & Performance Instrument
Cat: 662253 Rel: 29 Sep 17

Compact, next-generation production & performance controller featuring integrated hardware & software system
Notes: Version 3 of NI's hybrid groovebox is a super-slick instrument, with the pad controller and Maschine software working in perfect harmony. Built-in audio interface, slick workflow and tons of sounds included to get you started.

Supplier's notes:
The new MASCHINE takes the classic groovebox workflow and makes it faster and more intuitive. Optimized based on customer research, it's packed with new features to boost your speed and increase your focus - all without breaking the workflow you love.

Bigger pads:
Big, bold, and in your face, the larger pads create more room for complex moves like flams and rolls. New technological updates make the pads more sensitive to lighter touches, for more expressive playing. And since the centre-to-centre distance is exactly the same, your muscle memory and workflow don't have to change.

Full colour, hi res screens:
With two full-colour displays and the four-directional push encoder, you can browse sounds, FXs, plug-ins, and instruments with a tactile, one-handed, completely visual workflow - simply find the thumbnail and load directly from the hardware. Plus, the high-res screens let you get more precise with your mixing, see an overview of your arrangement, or zoom in on waveforms to slice samples like a surgeon.

Studio-grade audio interface:
MASCHINE now comes with a studio-grade, 96kHz / 24-bit audio interface for pristine sound. Simply patch in a synth or add a dynamic mic for quick recording and sampling. Stereo line and MIDI ports make it a perfect centrepiece for any studio. Plus, it's USB-powered, so you can record anywhere with your laptop.
Faster workflow:
The new hardware layout cuts through the clutter to help you stay focused and get your ideas out fast. Instead of being hidden behind a shift-function button, some of the most-used features and functions can now be accessed directly with one touch.

8 touch sensitive knobs:
Go beyond tweaking with eight touch sensitive knobs. Touch once to activate special contextual menus, such as tag clouds, sound settings, and FX parameters. You can also map your most frequently used FX, instruments, or plug-in parameters to macros with the touch of a button.

Smart strip for new ways to play:
The Smart Strip opens up MASCHINE to whole new ways of playing. Use it like a keyboard wheel to pitch-bend and modulate sounds. Add new sonic textures, builds, or transitions with advanced performance FX like stutter and scratch. Or strum samples, synths, and drums like a guitar.

Make Noise 0-Coast Semi-Modular Desktop Synthesiser
Make Noise 0-Coast Semi-Modular Desktop Synthesiser (semi-modular desktop synthesiser)
Cat: 599686 Rel: 26 Sep 16

Single voice patchable synthesiser
Notes: A modern classic. Superb little semi-modular monosynth in its own right, but comes alive when paired with other modular gear. A great option for beginners and experienced synth users alike.

Supplier's notes:
The 0-COAST is a single voice patchable synthesizer. Its name reflects the fact that it utilizes techniques from both the Moog and Buchla paradigms (aka "East Coast," and "West Coast," due to their locations), but is loyal to neither and thus implements "no coast synthesis."

While the 0-COAST utilizes classic modular synthesis techniques, it's designed to operate with or without the use of patch cables. The necessary connections have been made from circuit to circuit so it operates as an expressive, musical MonoSynth. Using only the MIDI controller of your choice you could apply new timbres to your existing musical forms!

Using the included Patch Cables you could get more scientific, experimenting with new ways to wire up the circuits. You might even forgo MIDI altogether, disappearing into a cloud of analog FM induced Sidebands and harmonics scattered around a single fundamental drone that has nothing to do with any form of music you've ever known.

Mackie Onyx12 12-Channel Analogue USB Studio Mixer
Cat: 785665 Rel: 25 Aug 21

12-channel analogue USB studio mixer
Notes: A true all-rounder from Mackie's ONYX range. 12-channel analogue mixer with built-in USB audio interface, allowing you to record your multi-tracks to a DAW or a stereo mix to built-in SD card.

Supplier's Notes:
Incredible sound quality, multitrack recording, and professional built-in effects make Onyx Premium Analog Mixers with USB the ultimate compact, affordable solution for live audio, home recording, and content creation.

If there's one thing Mackie engineers can do in their sleep, it's design a mixer that sounds great, is easy to use, and is packed with flexible features. Sounds pretty good right? So if you mix live sound, record in your home studio, or live stream, this is the heart of your audio.

Onyx Series mixers feature bright, easy to read buttons that shine bright in the darkest places so you will always know whats going on with your mix. On top of that, the full-color display of Studio Command makes it easy to adjust effects and SD card recording/playback.

To create the Perkins EQ, Cal Perkins started with the Wien Bridge circuit topology - a very musical design inspired by the hallowed "British" desks of the 60s and 70s. This design essentially trades boost/cut capability for a wider, highly musical Q filter. After a mind-numbing amount of math, Cal was able to specify capacitor and resistor values that would give the EQ an extra 6dB of control (i15 dB) without excessively narrowing the "Q" or bandwidth of the filters.

Landscape Stereo Field Quad Modular Touch Plate Feedback Atonal Synthesiser
Cat: 642532 Rel: 21 Sep 17

A stereo/quad modular touch plate feedback atonal synthesizer, a stereo/quad audio processor and a pressure sensitive chaotic CV "controller"
Notes: Stereo Field is one instrument with three uses. It is simultaneously a stereo/quad modular touch plate feedback atonal synthesizer, a stereo/quad audio processor and a pressure sensitive chaotic CV "controller". All three uses are available separately as well as simultaneously and in conversation with each other.

The Stereo Field allows its user to manipulate and patch two analogue stereo preamp circuits via touch plates. By utilizing skin conductivity as new paths for current to follow you are creating "new circuits" and new sounds in relation to where your fingers are patching. The individual touch plates are directly connected to nearly every connection point of every component in its circuitry (located directly under each corresponding touch plate).

When touched with multiple fingers it will create atonal analogue feedback with either of the two mirrored circuits represented by interlocking touch-plate circles. The resulting feedback can go beyond the abilities of human hearing (take caution!) and down to the very slow clicks of a saw waveform and both can often be happening simultaneously. These parallel mirrored circuits can be finger patched separately or together yielding vastly different chaotic results in regards to texture, timbre and stereo imaging. This instrument has the ability to create atonal synth tones in stereo (and quad) as well as process incoming stereo audio (and quad) sources via 1/4" and 3.5mm ins and outs. Incoming audio sources can be "patched" or rewoven into any area of either or both of the circuits via skin contact.

The two stereo input volume knobs (centre) shape and effect distortion, drive amounts, internal feedback pitch, and modulation rates depending on how your fingers are patching. The quad inputs and outputs via the 3.5mm jacks have small touch plates leading to and from allowing for touch access of each of the 4 inputs and 4 outputs. If multiple audio signals are traveling into the Stereo Field these audio sources can be intermingled and can modulate one another, again depending upon where your fingers are patching.

Sending CV signals into the 3.5mm input jacks will open up many more possibilities both in terms of synthesized sounds and audio processing. Since the two stereo circuits are mirror images of one another the 3.5mm ins and outs can also be thought of as (L/R,R/L) and when your hands get involved this imaging will be further confused and jumbled as your skin can intermingle all of these paths.

The Stereo Field can also be used as a controlled chaos source when using the 3.5mm outputs to send the feedback your hands create as CV to your modular system. Due to the nature of feedback and finger patching the 4 available CV signals have the ability to get incredibly complex, organic and textured in nature (see audio examples below in use with a euro-rack system). Because of the open nature of Stereo Field it can both send and receive CV modulation simultaneously. In addition, this can all be happening while your finger patching is changing and altering the incoming and outgoing CV while also processing incoming audio. These ins and outs can also be patched together with cables for sustained tones with the pitch/rhythm/volume/"cutoff" being affected by adjusting the incoming and outgoing volume knobs in various settings. Inter-patching in this way will also allow for sustained pulse beats and filter-esque sound shaping in addition to bringing new results to finger patching via the touch plates.

Most importantly, processed audio and synthesized audio are available simultaneously with the ability to influence and modulate each other. This will often blur the lines between the two; who is manipulating who, who comes out on top as audio and who is modulation? This can be a constantly evolving cycle based upon where the performers fingers are placed and highly sensitive skin contact pressure changes.

Korg Minilogue Bass Analogue Polyphonic Keyboard Synthesiser (limited edition)
Cat: 910775 Rel: 07 Feb 23

Minilogue Bass is the evolution of the iconic Korg Minilogue into an all-analogue bass powerhouse.
Notes: Specially tuned for bass sounds, the Minilogue returns in this new format. Same great analogue synth architecture, updated to create a low-end monster.

Supplier's Notes:
Minilogue Bass is the evolution of the iconic Korg Minilogue into an all-analogue bass powerhouse.

An expandable poly-synth that retains the hands-on control and immersive playability of the original, Minilogue Bass drops deep, dark, thunderous low-end for cutting production-ready bass.

Production-ready bass

Minilogue Bass includes patches optimized by professional bass and synth programmers, ready to drop into your track or performance. But that's just the beginning - everything can be customised- the analogue possibilities are virtually endless.

All 100 preset patches are exclusive to Minilogue Bass, and can be further expanded with an additional 100 user programs for a total of 200 slots.
Powerfully analogue

The thickness, presence, and immense sonic palette provided by Minilogue Bass is due to an all-analogue signal path. It has two VCOs, a VCF, two EGs, a VCA and an LFO, while retaining the hands on control and unique wave shaping through oscillator harmonics from Minilogue.

Minilogue Bass includes cross modulation, oscillator sync, and a ring modulator, alongside a high pass filter delay to further expand your sound creation possibilities.

Eight voice modes

Minilogue Bass is a four-voice poly synth, with eight voice modes for broad versatility. Alongside POLY and CHORD modes, DUO stacks two voices in unison, UNISON works as a 4 part mono synth, MONO is monophonic but with a sub-oscillator playing an octave lower, DELAY plays 3 voices in sequence after the first, ARP is a 4 voice arpeggiator, and SIDE CHAIN lowers the volume of previously played notes.

16-step sequencing

Korg MicroKorg XL+ Synthesiser & Vocoder
Cat: 468414 Rel: 29 Oct 12

Keyboard synthesiser
Notes: Vintage and more.

With its unmistakably unique exterior and its inimitable sound, the microKorg set the standard for analog modeling synthesizers. The year 2008 saw the introduction of the microKorg XL, which inherited the microKorg's fat and powerful sounds, while adding keyboard staples such as electric piano and the CX-3 organ. And now, in the next evolutionary step, the microKorg XL+ delivers a fresh update to the sounds and design of the microKorg XL, making it the ideal compact keyboard.

The microKORG XL featured a sound selector that lets you choose your sound using 2 large dials: music genre and instrument category. The new microKORG XL+ offers an additional selection of these music genres to fit today's fast-moving music scene. Now you can select a program that matches your song more intuitively than ever. For even more convenience, you can also leave one of the dials fixed and only use the other dial to make program changes during a song (music genre fixed), or use the dial to select vocoder variations (instrument category fixed).

Lush analog modeled synthesizer sounds that are characteristic of the microKORG have been freshly added to the microKORG XL+. In addition, for band use, the microKORG XL+ comes equipped with the piano sound from Korg's classic stage piano, the SGproX (famous for its ability to stand out in your band's mix), as well as its hard-edged grand-type electric piano. This compact package also includes sounds from the M1 and the VOX organ, vintage tape-type string and flute machines, as well as other gorgeous sounds from keyboard history. Each of these 128 programs are genuinely usable sounds, giving the microKORG XL+ plenty of variety to serve as your main keyboard or of course as a secondary keyboard in your rig.

The microKORG XL+ projects a style that's reminiscent of vintage electric pianos, featuring a futuristic yet retro design with a stylish black panel. High-quality parts such as metal levers, dials that move with an audible click, and knobs with a sturdy operating feel are some of the ways that the microKORG XL+ outclasses other instruments in its range and enhances your experience editing synthesizer sounds.

The microKORG XL+'s sound engine uses MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology), borrowing from Korg's well proven wealth of analog modeling technology. The MMT sound engine has been featured on numerous products, and provides 2 oscillators that generate huge powerful sounds. Oscillator 1 (OSC1) gives you a total of 7 types of oscillator algorithm to choose from, including formant waveforms such as human voice, and PCM/DWGS waveforms for vintage keyboard and strings. It also lets you use techniques that cannot be imitated on typical PCM synthesizers, such as cross modulation, unison, and VPM (Variable Phase Modulation). By taking advantage of modulation (sync or ring) with oscillator 2 (OSC2), it's easy to create complex and powerful sounds.

The microKORG XL+ can function as a powerful vocoder that lets you connect a mic and use its audio input to shape the tonal character of the oscillator's sound to create talking effects. The vocoder consists of a 16-band filter bank that can simulate the vocoder sounds of the past and also shift the filter frequencies (Format Shift function) or adjust the level and pan of each band to dramatically change the sonic character. Using the Vocoder is an easy way to add sounds that can be found in today's popular electronic music. Since a gooseneck microphone is included, you can immediately start using thevocoder in your songs.

2 master effects utilize the effect engine that was brought to perfection in Korg's Kaoss Pad series, giving you a total of 17 powerful effect types including delay and echo effects as well as dramatic effects such as ring modulator and grain shifter. In addition, effects such as delay can be synchronized to MIDI clock for a wide range of possibilities in live performance.

Korg Drumlogue Hybrid Drum Machine
Cat: 901084 Rel: 24 Jan 23

Hybrid analogue/digital drum machine
Notes: The best of both worlds, combining analogue drum circuits with samples and Korg's Multi Engine. Versatile step sequencing, built-in effects and seamless connectivity.

Supplier's Notes:
The introduction of Drumlogue marks a paradigm shift for drum machines. It combines the rich and raw power of analogue, the flexibility and convenience of digital, and the deep customisation of a unique SDK. A heavy-duty dynamic sequencer, powerful effects, and intuitive controls make Drumlogue a must-have in any setup.

The power of analogue

Drumlogue features completely new analogue circuitry from legendary Korg engineer: Junichi Ikeuchi (ARP 2600 M, MS-20 Mini, ARP Odyssey). The depth and richness of its sound is on a whole new level. New analogue circuits for bass drum, snare drum, low tom and high tom provide a solid foundation, and elevate tracks with harmonic richness and a thick low end.

The versaility of digital

Drumlogue has 7 digital parts: 6 sample-based and 1 Multi Engine based. The sample-based parts can play a wide selection of pre-loaded PCM samples alongside imported user samples. These can be easily loaded into Drumlogue by connecting to a computer via USB and simply dragging and dropping into its main memory.

Endless creative potential

The wildly popular Multi Engine from Minilogue XD is made even more powerful: in addition to Variable Phase Modulation (VPM) and Noise generator engines, the Multi Engine in Drumlogue features a new user slot able to play fully-fledged synth voices - providing vast sonic possibilities never before heard on a drum machine.

Custom Synths

Synth voices in Drumlogue are so much more than static waveforms. Custom synths can be built to not only generate sound, but can also draw on built-in filters, LFOs, MIDI controlled polyphony

Exclusive "Nano" plugin

Korg has collaborated with popular plugin developer "Sinevibes" to create a brand new synth plugin for Drumlogue: Nano. This exclusive plugin explores the power behind the newly expanded Multi Engine and gives an incredible first taste of the platform.

"Nano" is a full-fledged virtual analogue synth with a broad array of features and customisable parameters. The synth engine has dual oscillators with optional ring modulation, a 4-pole state-variable filter with soft clipping distortion, built-in EG and built-in multi-waveform LFO.

Sequencing powerhouse

At the heart of Drumlogue is a flexible, easy-to-use, and extremely powerful 64-step sequencer. This makes it easy to create complex patterns and polyrhythms that elevates the music creation process. Innovative features are available including per-step probability, per-step alternate trigger patterns, per-step micro offsets, per-track groove patterns and much more. With the clear OLED display, it's also easy to follow and edit your sequences visually.

Chain mode makes creating long and interesting patterns simple. In loop mode you can switch between several variations to play sequences in new and interesting ways. The Motion and Accent recording functions are fast and intuitive, and if you want to try new things on your track, the randomisation function is there to help you.

Effects and customisation

Drumlogue has high-quality effects across three categories that can be used simultaneously: delay, reverb and master effects. The send amounts for delay and reverb effects are set independently, with multiple return points also available. Master effects add that final polish to the sound and can be bypassed on a per-part basis, meaning it's possible to send the effect to specific audio parts. A sidechain bus is also available to the master effects section.

Drumlogue has an audio input, so you can process other instruments through Drumlogue's effect chain, making it an ideal companion for your studio setup.

Connectivity

With a wide range of I/O, Drumlogue can be integrated seamlessly with your rig. A USB-A port supports connectivity with USB MIDI class-compliant devices, meaning volumes can be controlled with the faders on a nanoKONTROL 2, or sounds triggered by the pads on a nanoPAD 2.
It almost goes without saying that Drumlogue easily syncs with other gear via the MIDI in/out, sync in/out, or via USB MIDI.

Four individual outputs are available, in addition to headphone and main L/R. Any part can be assigned to any output, allowing for expanded routing versatility with external processing and multi-track integration.

Ease of use

Drumlogue is incredibly easy to use - having been designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. The most important parameters for the main drum parts have dedicated knobs on the front panel for on-the-fly adjustments, as well as dedicated volume pots for each part to speed up the mixing process.

A wide and clear OLED screen coupled with a simple UI and 4 dedicated encoder knobs makes the navigation process fast and smooth.

Design

Unlike other drum machines, Drumlogue's main panel is slanted. This offers superior ergonomics and visibility, while a brushed aluminium body and wooden side panels add to the premium look and feel.
