Review: ***B-STOCK: CD case damaged but otherwise in excellent condition***

Seven arresting, original new exercises from E-Saggila aka Canadian producer Rita Mikhael. She wears her love of dub on her sleeve - see the slow motion skank of 'Amnesiac' aming others - but not in the usual reassuring, bubbling echoes of dub techno, aiming for something much more angular and alarming. "Breaks remain staccato hammers," says the blurb, with maximum accuracy, "and kicks are cast to negate cardiac systems," while the rhythms veer from off kilter to nailed down and the sonics vary from the lush to the caustic. This territory to the left(field) of electronica is over saturated with identikit productions, but Mikhael does it like you've never quite heard before.

Review: Originally scored in 1968 by a loose circle of New York garage-psych acts, this reissued soundtrack finally lifts the veil on one of the strangest period films of the late 60s. The E-Types lead the charge with no fewer than four versions of 'Put The Clock Back On The Wall', ranging from a bright, full-band cut to a warped instrumental and stereo acapella. The Bit' A Sweet contribute the hazy, lurching 'Is It On, Is It Off?'ia woozy gem full of phased guitar and tape wobbleiwhile 'LSD Got A Hold On Me' by Thee Neons dials up the paranoia with raw, fuzzed-out intensity. The Vagrants offer a tight, harmony-laced soul ballad in 'I Love, Love You (Yes I Do)', adding contrast to the acid-drenched proceedings. While the film itself, shot entirely in greyscale, veered closer to surreal documentary than narrative cinema, the music functions as a mood-setting anchor throughoutiequal parts camp, dread, and weird sunshine optimism. This marks the first official pressing of these tracks and serves as both a time capsule of New York's outsider rock fringe and a highly playable psyche compilation in its own right.

Review: ***B-STOCK: Slight surface marks ***

One of the best-selling albums of all time, Hotel California could be considered the pinnacle of American rock, at least in terms of success and sales. Ranked the 118th Greatest Album of All Time by Rolling Stone, certified by RIAA as the third best-selling LP in history, and considered the foundation on which the Golden State's mid-70s music scene was built, the 1976 landmark is a music staple immune to shifts in trends, eras, and styles. Fearlessly addressing the chaos and consequences of American life, its songs remain strikingly prescient and gain credence with each passing day. Now reissued as a box set by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab; mastered from the original analog master tapes; pressed on MoFi SuperVinyl, and limited to 17,500 numbered copies.

Review: These Eagles - no, not those Eagles who were partial to likening heroin to a hotel - were a 1950s r&b vocal group from the Washington, D.C. area. Their best-known work was 'Tryin' to Get to You' which went on to be covered and made into a hit by Elvis Presley. They recorded this album in the mid-50s and it is a life-affirming soul sound. The hooks are indelible, the melodies soar and the lyrics focus on age-old themes of love and the lack thereof. Lovely stuff.

Review: Earth's live performance at KOKO in 2016 captures the Olympia-formed experimental drone crew's evolving sound in its most immersive form. The trioiDylan Carlson, Jodie Cox and Adrienne Davisioffers a slow-burn journey through layers of doom, drone and minimalist textures that feel as weighty as they do precise. The set begins with a familiar depth, the reverberating basslines and crushing guitar tones building a space of deliberate tension. Tracks like 'Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull' unfurl with a vast and spatial quality, while 'Even Hell Has Its Heroes' crawls along in thick, oppressive layers. What's striking is the restraint: Earth never rushes; each note, each pause, is deliberate, serving as a meditation on the slow, heavy force of sound. The minimalist approach feels almost tactile in its quiet moments, as if the silence itself is as profound as the noise. This live offering underlines their mastery of creating music that moves beyond noise, into a deeper exploration of space, sound, and feeling.

Review: Jacob Long's fourth full-length LP for Kranky hears the artist otherwise known as Earthen Sea expand his repertoire to an almost full reimagining, taking to the now longstanding Earthen Sea moniker from the fresh incarnation as a "piano trio", rather than a solo production effort. Though we gather this might not genuinely be the case, all it took was a simple shift in self-imagining to fashion a completely different take on a still so far meditative sound. Here elements were chopped and resampled, then layered with bass, drums, percussion and additional keys; the result is a fusion of live band acoustics and downtempo loops, sculpted into nine smoke-and-mirror dubs of fractured jazz, soft-focus noir and trip hop dust.

Review: How much soul and funk does East of Underground deliver? A lot, that's how much. This raw and righteous gem from 1971 was originally issued by the US Army and handed out to troops during the Vietnam War, which means that original copies are insanely rare and pricey. Thankfully, this reissue brings it back to the people, minus the less memorable Soap LP. What remains is pure fire: gritty covers of Curtis Mayfield, Funkadelic, James Brown and more, all of which are played with heart and urgency by a group of enlisted musicians. Bonus fact: their take on The Fuzz's 'I Love You for All Seasons' became the backbone of US trap star 21 Savage's 'A Lot.'

Review: Another BBC Sessions edition compiles nearly two decades of live-in-studio performances from Echo & The Bunnymen, tracing the Liverpool legends' rise from wiry post-punk outsiders to accomplished songwriters. John Peel and Janice Long oversaw the sessions with eagle's eyes, as production polish from classics such as 'The Killing Moon', 'Rescue' and 'Lips Like Sugar' reveal the band's skeletal brilliance and moody immediacy. Something of a guide to the band's career arc as a whole, we hear the way paved for a more expansive, melancholic texture in the later years, despite an ever morphotic, modulable lineup. The Cult Legends reissue set offers longtime fans and newer listeners a chance to hear the Bunnymen with studio intimacy and live spontaneity; less theatrical than their stage shows, but just as haunting.

Review: Echo & The Bunnymen's What Are You Going to Do with Your Life?, their eighth studio album, reflects a more introspective and matured sound from the post-punk icons. Released in 1999, this album marked a departure from their earlier work's grandiose, bass-driven rock, offering a gentler, acoustic-driven atmosphere. Tracks like the title song and 'Rust' highlight Ian McCulloch's soulful vocals, with lush string arrangements and a restrained yet heartfelt delivery. The addition of horn accents on 'Get in the Car' and 'When It Blows Over' brings unexpected warmth, while 'History Chimes' closes the album on a melancholic piano note. The album showcases a thoughtful evolution of their signature sound, offering a reflective soundtrack for both longtime fans and new listeners. This album demonstrates a band comfortable in its musical maturity, resonating with the contemplative themes of aging and legacy.

Vol 2 is another blend of heady, dubby sounds with cosmic dance vibes that span serval sub-genres with ease. 'World In My Head' kicks off with lo-fi and low-key depths, and further downtempo tracks like 'Explanation of The Funk' with Dre King's trumpet and DJ Stylus's cuts, and 'Three-Season Crank' with Raja Kassis's guitar further sink you into blissed-out beats. The flip side has dancefloor-friendly jam 'Off The Rails,' then moves into dubby, meditative territory and ends with the gorgeous 'Black Bird Dub' which allows Echo's eclectic production and Meinecke's keyboard mastery to shine.

Review: Seattle songster Chris Eckman returns with his latest album for Glitterhouse, solidifying a now well-defined solo career after his split from the indie rock band The Walkabouts. Recalled easily by the sublime valley lodge depicted on the front cover, Eckman's brief new LP, taking form as eight new indie folk laments, depicts a gruff bard's persona, documenting the recording artist's response to the long passage of time and his recent relocation from Washington to Ljubljana. As if to blur associations of tumbledown American prairie and rustic Slovenian mountainscape, we hear homebound paeans ('Genevieve') and mixed-emotive reminiscences on wild youth ('Haunted Nights').

Review: An album that defined the "cool" in West Coast Jazz when it emerged in 1960, it's a robust, swinging session led by the veteran Los Angeles-based tenor saxophonist. Edwards' smooth tone in the middle and lower registers, combined with a brassier edge in the upper range, showS his melodic inventiveness and dynamic fluidity. The primary rhythm section features Leroy Vinnegar on bass and Billy Higgins on drums, with either Amos Trice or, more often, Joe Castro on piano. Higgins, fresh off sessions with Ornette Coleman, locks into a straight-ahead groove, with the entire rhythm section swinging relentlessly. Pianists Trice and Castro bring a bebop-plus-barroom feel reminiscent of Sonny Clark, adding grit and charm to the quartet's sound. The program is largely blues and bebop-flavored originals, with several based on the chord changes of 'I've Got Rhythm'. The title track introduces a Latin flair, while Vinnegar's 'Vintage '57' offers variety.A pivotal moment in West Coast jazz when Edwards, once obscure, reemerged with vigour.

It's never stagnated, but the core of charming, wry songwriting at the heart of the project remains the fundamental and that comes through clearer than ever on the tender acoustic sound of this new album's lead single, 'Time'. Review: Efterklang's seventh studio album, Things We Have In Common, closes a musical chapter that began with Altid Sammen and continued through Windflowers. Embracing a simpler, more inclusive approach, the album reflects a gentler harmonic tension and straightforward tonal language. While Altid Sammen explored human community and Windflowers delved into nature, Things We Have In Common centers on collective spirituality and belonging. The album reunites the core trioiMads Brauer, Casper Clausen, and Rasmus Stolbergiwith former member Rune Molgaard, whose spiritual journey has profoundly shaped the album. Molgaard co-wrote seven of the nine tracks, infusing the record with his unique perspective. Featuring contributions from international artists like Zach Condon, Tatu Ronkko, Hector Tosta, and Mabe Fratti, and notable collaborations with Francesco Donadello and the South Denmark Girls' Choir, the album marks Efterklang's 20th anniversary with a rich, evolving soundscape that reflects two decades of artistic growth and reconnection. Review: Lo-fi, droning ambience from Turkish producer Ekin Uzeltuzenci aka. Ekin Fil here. 'Rosewood Untitled' is themed after the resistance of nature, drawing a hard line between concepts of the manmade and natural - by sonically presenting the latter as pure, slowly restless, and laden in a deep, almost unrecoverable texture. For Ekin, the inspiration behind the album came after witnessing huge forest fires in Turkey, which occurred at the same time as the COVID pandemic. What follows is a mournful reminiscence on fatal natural processes, through looping sonic envelopes and distant melodies.

Review: Bristolian Nick Edwards had an excellent run of things during the 2010s, releasing cuts on Planet Mu, Mordant Music, Punch Drunk, Perc Trax and WNCL, among others. He also established himself as a highlight on the European live electronic circuit. Then things quietened off, making the personal choice to avoid getting caught up in the circus of dance music and club culture at arguably the most perilous point in its history - ethically speaking. After five years in the wilderness, Edwards is back as Eoplekz with an eight-track mini-album for Selvamancer. Straddling acid warbles, dub tech, dirty squelching weirds, subtle hints of reggae and a resolute commitment to futurism, we're not sure exactly how to label Dirtbokz, but that's exactly the point. Lo-fi analogue adventures through the wormhole, and back again.

Review: Drissi El-Abbass's Rai Sidi Bel Abbes - Volume 2 is a superb eight-track compilation that tells the evolutionary story of Rai music from the late 1970s to the 1990s. Released by Nashazphone on four sides of wax, it highlights El-Abbassi's soft vocals and innovative fusion of traditional Algerian music with electronic elements which came after he started his career with Les Aigles Noirs and later collaborated with guitarist Ahmed Zergui. El-Abbassi embraced synthesisers and drum machines to shape a modern Rai sound that has stood the test of time and tracks like 'Maak Probleme' and 'Datli Laakal' blend nostalgic melodies with bold production to offer a vivid portrait of Rai's creative transformation.

Review: Drawing on influences from the global Cumbia scene that took root in Buenos Aires over a decade ago, El Buho presents a collection of tracks that blend entrancing traditional rhythms with modern electronic textures. The opener, 'La Cumbia Del Cafe Martinez,' sets a hypnotic tone, while 'Anglo-Colombian Expedition' merges lively tropical elements with intricate production. The darker 'La Cumbia De La Ansiedad' and earthy 'Porro Del Tucan' follow, offering variety while remaining grounded in Cumbia's roots. The remixes elevate the experience further. ARN4L2's atmospheric interpretation of 'La Cumbia Del Cafe Martinez' opens up the track into a spacious, reflective journey, while Auntie Flo's remix of 'Anglo-Colombian Expedition' adds a rhythmic intensity. La Jungla's energetic remix of 'La Cumbia De La Ansiedad' and Lagartijeando's hypnotic take on 'Porro Del Tucan' offer new perspectives on the original compositions too, making this a digital Cumbia milestone.

Review: Madrid-based collective Danzon El Gato channel the city's restless creative energy into a vivid fusion of jazz, funk and roots music. Formed within Madrid's experimental scene, the group revolves around Javier Adan and Santiago Rapallo, longtime collaborators whose past projects range from jazz fusion to avant-garde film scores. This latest release sees them sculpt a kaleidoscopic sound, pulling from North African, Latin American and Mediterranean traditions while staying locked into the groove with a rhythm section indebted to 70s library music and golden-era hip-hop. Across the record, they explore an array of moods and textures. 'Ronda' pairs intricate guitar lines with a propulsive swing, while 'La lucha'ifeaturing Marina y su Melaoileans into percussive Latin jazz. 'Twangy Morocco' lives up to its name, weaving surf-rock guitar into an East-meets-West instrumental, whereas 'Chapoteo' ripples with aquatic, freeform interplay. 'Amambay' and 'Fuimos invencibles' showcase their knack for evocative storytelling through sound, shifting effortlessly between cinematic tension and unbridled release. Danzon El Gato craft music that reflects Madrid itselfidense with influences, rich in movement and ambiguousiin the best way. Their sound captures a city in flux, where past and present collide to create something unmistakably fresh.

Review: Viaje Sideral is a cosmic journey led by El Leon Pardo and his ancestral instrument, the kuisi, which is a pre-Colombian flute that traditionally symbolises resistance and survival. This second album from Pardo explores humanity's connection with the stars by blending Caribbean percussion, analogue synths, deep bass, electric guitars and the distinctive sounds of kuisis and trumpets. The tunes channel the tropical psychedelia of the 70s and 80s while incorporating ambient and electronic influences from artists like Terry Riley and Kraftwerk. Viaje Sideral is a great mix of dreamlike astral sounds with tropical rhythms that mean both the earthly and the cosmic are explored.

Since the release of Sounding Out The City in 2005, Michels has consistently pushed musical boundaries and has produced for many top names. In Glorious Game, he merges soul-tinged, bottom-heavy beats with Black Thought's deeply personal lyrics and, inspired by hip-hop's sample-based production, crafts new compositions that sample and reinterpret his own work to create dynamic, loop-driven instrumentals. The album is released on Big Crown Records which marks a debut partnership which will be interesting to follow.

It finds the legendary Egyptian composer reinterpreting seven classics by Mohamed Abdel Wahab and in doing so he waves traditional Arabic melodies into funky arrangements and electric keyboard experimentation. The Egyptian-born, Montreal-based artist blends experimental sonics with Arabic roots and improvisation on Laini Tani, and crafts music that slips between worlds and takes you with it. The whole record pulses like a hot night stretching into morning. It's sweaty, surreal, and endlessly alive and each track is a vivid fragment: defiant, euphoric or quietly raw. El Shazly's lush vocals and layered metaphors weave a dreamstate of meaning and mystery that bold and chaotic yet controlled so is a record to get lost in, then hit repeat as you try to decode its hidden truths.

Review: After showcasing their early years with a collection of tracks from 1975-1977, ELO turn to the other end of their illustrious career and a re-release for Moment of Truth, the 1994 album from spinoff project ELO Part II. This album showcases a brilliant 'Overture,' reflecting a successful return to the El Dorado-era sound - a feat Jeff Lynne struggled to recreate after first finding success with it. The record features memorable pop tracks such as 'Breakin' Down the Walls,' 'Power of a Million Lights,' 'One More Tomorrow,' and the standout 'Love Or Money,' up there with their finest melodies. Rock-influenced songs like 'Don't Wanna,' 'Whiskey Girls,' and 'So Glad You Said Goodbye' add variety and 'Underture' closes the album on a very high note, capturing the band's classic grandeur. This release offers a satisfying return to their pop and symphonic roots and is worth a listen for ELO fans.

Review: The newly reissued (on orange vinyl, no less) Moment of Truth album by Electric Light Orchestra Part II captures the spirit of the original group while also showing them carving a new path. It has lush orchestral arrangements, intricate harmonies and catchy melodies that stay true to the band's symphonic rock roots and highlights include the energetic opener 'Hello,' the anthemic 'Breakin' Down the Walls,' and the emotive 'One More Tomorrow.' Review: Like so many projects, Electric Taal Band has its roots in the pandemic. Specifically, when a box of Punjabi records was found for sale at the Bollywood Music Centre, on Gerrard Street East, in the Little India neighbourhood of Toronto. This inspired a deep dive into a spectrum and school of music that's largely been overlooked by Western ears, and a mission began to try and develop new variations on the era-spanning formula that ran through those random pieces of wax. Electric Taal Band proves how valid the endeavour was. Ten truly transportive tracks that invoke the heat and exoticism of the sub-continent through incredibly immersive, complex and - at times - experimental arrangements, achieved with the assistance of a vintage Radel telemeter and electric Tanpura. Two instruments originally design for practice purposes, here affording an unarguably unique sound you're unlikely to encounter anywhere else.

Review: Elephant9, renowned for their electrifying live performances, continues to impress with their upcoming double live album, Catching Fire, recorded during a remarkable 2017 concert in Oslo to celebrate Terje Rypdal's 70th birthday. This release, available on double vinyl through Rune Grammofon, adds to the band's impressive discography, which includes multiple studio albums and live recordings. Catching Fire shares a visceral energy reminiscent of classic live albums from Mahavishnu Orchestra, ELP, and King Crimson, combining moments of intense improvisation with serene interludes. The 22-minute opening track showcases Rypdal's distinctive, glacier-like melodic lines, demonstrating his mastery and unique approach. His synergy with Stale Storlokken, who has supported him for nearly 30 years, creates an inseparable musical dialogue, while the rhythm section of Torstein Lofthus and Nikolai Haengsle ensures a solid, dynamic foundation. With its careful mix aiming to capture the live concert experience, Catching Fire is poised to be a highlight for fans. The world of Norwegian jazz prog never sounded better.

This mega-rare record has become a stone-cold cult classic album revered by dark pop devotees. Review: Danny Elfman's score for Batman '89 remains one of the most iconic and influential superhero soundtracks ever created. Released as a collector's edition by Mondo, this reissue features Elfman's monumental work, expertly conducted by Shirley Walker and performed by The Sinfonia of London. Elfman's theme, with its haunting, ascendant four-note motif, perfectly encapsulates the duality of Bruce Wayne and set the benchmark for superhero film scores. This vinyl reissue, pressed on 'Butterfly Effect' vinyl, is accompanied by a graphic novel continuation of the Batman story, making it a great collectable for fans of the 1989 film and Elfman's music. Elfman's ability to blend operatic grandeur with intense action shines throughout the score, notably in tracks like 'Charge of the Batmobile' and 'First Confrontation.' The playful, waltz-inspired theme for Jack Nicholson's Joker adds a layer of dark humor to the soundtrack, contrasting beautifully with the film's darker, more brooding moments. Complementing the release are stunning new artworks by Jiro Fujita and Paolo Rivera. This reissue, produced by Neil S. Bulk and mastered by James Plotkin, honors the legacy of Elfman's career-defining score, which has stood the test of time as the definitive sound of Gotham's Dark Knight.

Review: Duke Ellington's Far East Suite, now reissued on 180-gram audiophile orange vinyl LP, is a noteworthy, though often overlooked, entry in Ellington's discography. Recorded in 1966, the suite reflects a time when jazz was tentatively exploring other cultures, with pieces inspired by the band's tour of the Middle East rather than the Far East. While not as celebrated as Black, Brown and Beige or Such Sweet Thunder, Far East Suite captures an intriguing phase in Ellington's career. Composed with Billy Strayhorn, the suite includes gems like Strayhorn's 'Agra' and Ellington's 'Tourist Point of View,' showcasing their enduring creativity even amid Strayhorn's health struggles. This reissue retains previously issued alternate takes and introduces five new ones, though it's hard to add to the original's brilliance. For newcomers, this is a splendid chance to experience Ellington's adventurous spirit; for longtime fans, it's a familiar but welcome revisit. Despite its misnomer and scattered themes, Far East Suite remains a testament to Ellington's enduring legacy.

Review: A standout 1958-1959 recording by Johnny Hodges, Side by Side marked his continued solo work after taking the bold decision to leave the legendary Duke Ellington Orchestra. This album harks back to the small-group sessions of the 1930s but with a twist as Ellington's absence on several tracks meant Billy Strayhorn stepped in on piano. Joining Hodges are jazz legends like Jo Jones, Roy Eldridge and Harry 'Sweets' Edison, who all add colour to the varied collection, which has been newly remastered for Verve's Acoustic Sounds Series. As a follow-up to 1959's Back to Back: Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges Play the Blues, it is another gem from the noted alto saxophonist.

If you don't know (well, even if you do know it is still true), Californian multi-instrumentalist Brian Ellis is Egyptian Lover's keyboard player, and is also a member of Campus Christi with Peanut Butter Wolf. He steps out alone here with a new and outlier funk album that shows off his idiosyncratic style. It is a raw and dense sound that mixes up bold funk and gritty psychedelic soul while embracing the darker edges of both styles. Along the way, Ellis explores themes of truth, authenticity and the pitfalls of wealth while reflecting on the cost of giving away one's heart. Tracks like 'The Real Deal' and 'Money Drives Me Crazy 'capture these ideas with unfiltered emotion.

Review: If you don't know (well, even if you do know it is still true), Californian multi-instrumentalist Brian Ellis is Egyptian Lover's keyboard player, and is also a member of Campus Christi with Peanut Butter Wolf. Review: California multi-instrumentalist, Egyptian Lover's keyboard player and experimental producer Brian Ellis follows up his Quarantine Tapes with his first full-length solo album in four years. Unfortunately, we'll never have a lifetime supply of Brian's music, although that's forgivable since recorded music media also incorporates the genius invention that is playback, which means even one purchase can last for a lifetime as long as you keep your record in good nick! This one is a swirling bomb of bombast funk and dodgy-output psychedelic soul, one that is unafraid of the murkier ends of each sound. Ellis muses on the nature of truth, authenticity, dirty money and the consequence of leasing one's heart out, as on 'The Real Deal' and 'Money Drives Me Crazy'.

Depending on your personal circumstances, the Covid pandemic was either a blissed-out paid holiday or a stressful and seemingly never-ending time of loss and hardship. Both ends of the spectrum are gorgeously captured here by London-based Joy Ellis, who wrote her third album 'Peaceful Place' during those strange weeks. Though a renowned singer, she decided to strip things back to just piano for this record, with long-time collaborators Adam Osmianski on drums and Henrik Jensen on double bass fleshing out the sound. It is a poignant listen from front to back, with all the many different emotions of that time conveyed perfectly, from grief to uncertainty, hope to despair, in one immersive record. The sheer beauty of these songs and the meaning of the melodies stay with you long after they have finished playing, making this a real triumph out of adversity and one that is sure to stand the test of time.

Review: Elmiene's latest offering presents a smooth, immersive listen, blending soulful electronics with subtle, emotive melodies. Opening with the tender 'TLC,' the release quickly establishes its intimate mood, which is carried through tracks like the lush 'Light Work.' 'Crystal Tears' shifts to a more ambient space, while 'Ode To Win' builds a contemplative, understated momentum. The release really comes alive on the second side with 'Sweetness' and 'Until It's Dust,' where the production deepens into something atmospheric and hypnotic. 'Dark Out (Season of Thieves)' adds a touch of brooding intensity, and 'Anyways' closes on a contemplative note.

Going Out Of Her Father's House
Review: Embryo, the music collective from Germany, rekindle the flaming title of "one of the most important German jazz-rock bands from the 1970s" with a brand new mini-LP on Sonarama. A neat collection of unreleased ethno-jazz from 1979-80, its rediscovery in the archives captures the band's formerly-only-hazily documented journey across Afghanistan, North Africa and the Near/Middle East, documenting the German supertroupe's late-career collabs with regional outfits, such as the Kabul Radio Orchestra and players from Eritrea, Syria, Morocco and Iraq. Blending trad melodies with free-flowing improv, this touring jazz explosion flaunts the many scalene modes native to such places; their provenance is esoteric and difficult to track down.

Review: Emika's Vega:Trilogy is a bold, ambitious sonic journey that blends meditation, sacred geometry and a quest for deeper meaning. Recorded during the isolation of the lockdowns, Emika poured her creativity into crafting a work that transcends genres. Drawing inspiration from the northern star Lyra, Vega combines electronic, classical and avant-garde elements, with Emika's distinctive vocals anchoring the atmospheric soundscapes. Collaborations with luminaries like Horace Andy, Liela Moss and Rodhad add unique layers to the already rich fabric of the album. The three vinyl LPs are presented in a sleek black cover with a silver foil logo, making the physical release as captivating as the music itself. Since her early days in Bristol's bass music scene and her groundbreaking work as a sound designer, Emika has carved out her own niche. Vega is the latest chapter in her journey, offering a dynamic blend of electronics, neo-classical compositions and her signature vocal style. A truly introspective album that captures Emika's evolution as an artist and visionary.
