Review: This is a reissue of the 1962 novelty song by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers, which was a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart just before Halloween that year. A parody of horror movie tropes, the song features Pickett's imitation of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, two historic vampiric icons, as well as many more impersonations of various monsters all getting together for a mash . Review: Elvis is known for his singles, his films, his quiff and his rather undignified idemise, but not so much for his albums. This is the exception, however. The debut Elvis album from 1956 has its iconic sleeve - borrowed by The Clash for London Calling - but the music is even more classic, from opener 'Blue Suede Shoes' to 'Money Honey' at its close. One this is for sure - Elvis Presely changed the world. This LP is the sound of him doing just that.
