The long running One Records overseen by Adam Shelton and Subb-An returns with it's 32nd release and first of the year; more importantly Warp is the first full EP for the label from Mr. Ashique Subhan! With a style very much cultivated across releases on Spectral, Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest, Cocoon, a new record from Subb-An will always be greeted with anticipation. Lead track "Warp" is a typically classy slice of effervescent house music, funnelling deep and dubby textures underneath a strident bassline and crisp, intricate drum programming. Complementing this, "TV" is an equally charming production who's worming bass surges work well against the vocal contribution from Jacob Phono.
