With a relatively fresh approach that has thus far seen him sidle up to 100% Silk for a pair of singles, Berlin-based Roland Tings is happily slamming out oodles of acid-laced rave business with a creative slant in its demeanour, this time for Australian imprint Club Mod. The title track is an epic beast of a track, with the skuzzy 303 bassline imbued with a greater emotional weight by its melodic neighbours, from fraught string lines in the peak to haunting pads in the breakdown, and it makes the acid sound all the more enriching in your ears. Jeremy Greenspan gets militaristic with a drum roll-laced remix which seeks to transport you to more cosmic destinations, but "Cagean Sea" brings it back to more earthly, sunkissed pleasures in a flurry of piano chords and bubbling b-lines. Maximillion Dunbar rounds the release off magnificently with a thoroughly bumped out version that gets hip hop nagging worked into the house situation to a stunningly fractured end.
