Dan Riashi, Gerald F. Nelson and Robert Crise Jr. were Post Industrial Noise, a fringe minimal wave band from the 1980's who have been relatively lost in the depths of time. This is an absolute shame because The Official Post Industrial Noise Anthology is as fresh today as it was back over three decades ago. Containing everything from, well...noise to industrial, the tracks on here are all way ahead of their time and it's the band's drumming which really sets them apart from the rest. The analogue processing on tracks like "Survivalists" or "Compartment Life" is truly stunning and adds a thick layer of futurism to the band's already daring take on rock and minimal wave. Oh, and be sure to check the disco-leaning monster that is "COTA City salsa" - a peach!
