Question: When does a remix become a complete rewrite? Answer: When Akshin Alizadeh gets his hands on it. In fact only the chord structure and precision elements on Marlena's outright classic remain as the talented Azerbaijani multi-instrumentalist lays down a bed of sumptuous Rhodes, sax and slick wet guitar. Complete with an instrumental, to many the very idea of remixing Marlena is sacrilege but Alizadeh has smashed this well and truly out of the park. And it's highly limited coloured vinyl... This ticks too many boxes!
