After toughing it out, living on the mean streets of London, the Brixton artist KXNGS found himself again through the power of music after securing a degree from the University of the Arts. After a handful of early independent digital outings, this release for Ex Local presents his vinyl debut. Starting out with the dusty, sample led stomp of "Earth Sign" and the dreamy street level stepper "Through The Storm" (which features a wonderful collage of African vocals), there's more quality on the flip with the wonky, hyper-deep house of "Bora Bora" and the equally hyper-reggae tropical vibe of "Energy Circulation" featuring some nice congas for good measure.
