Beppu! Our main power electronics badboy returns to Other Ideas with a third LP consisting of gnarly pseudo-noise and grizzly quasi-techno. Although the vast majority of the productions are clouded in a thick smoke of metallic hardware feedback, there is a sense of rhythm and direction within these tracks, where howling waves of deranged sonics are loosely held in place by hollow, synthesised kick drums and ice cold percussion stabs. Yes, this is certainly for fans of Vatican Shadow and the Hospital sound as a whole, but also 1980's outfits such as Spain's Esplendor Geometrico or Italy's Maurizio Bianchi. Rocking stuff, honestly.
