Stockholm based Art Alfie unleashes his debut album on local institution Studio Barnhus. The Karlovak co-head (alongside usual partner in crime Mr. Tophat) has had a consistent output, amassing a huge discography in only so many years and consolidates all that experience right here on this fine collection of moods and grooves; all very blissful and sunny with the unmistakable dust and swing of the MPC throughout. Starting out smoothly and deep on "A Lover's Anxiety" featuring subtle jazz elements and shimmering keys, "Klubbenborg" afterwards gets its stomp on in fine from. The slow motion disco of "A Blues" (Dolphin Cruise edit) is just mde for dancefloor drifting and is easily suited to the early evening as it is to the late night alike. Also, "Esquinas" (feat Daniel Raaf) gets its latin stomp on with this furious steel drum workout with real potential crossover appeal.
