Most recently seen appearing on the second installment of Concrete's excellent Textures series, the man like Abdulla Rashim returns with a fourth infrequent transmission on his eponymous label. Still quite the mystery despite appearances on Semantica, Prologue and Studio Barnhus, this element of mystique hasn't handicapped Rashim's rise to prominence as one of the finer exponent of abstract, hypnotising techno characterised by deep textures and pulsating rhythms. The three tracks on this Semien Terara EP mark a further development in Rashim's sound, appearing strangely understated on first listen, but their production intricacies really come to light on a booming soundsystem.
