Review: Italian duo Hugo Sanchez and Edoardo Cianfanelli have been coming together to throw down all manner of discoid greatness for the likes of Slow Motion Records, and now they're on Malka Tuti with what has the potential to be a massive hit for them. Igino's vocal on the A-side track is undeniably catchy, and it sounds great both in the context of the original and simmering over Severino and Ray Mang's slow-burning gem of a remix. "Bella L'Estate" meanwhile sees the duo head into spooky, cinematic territory to great effect, marking out the kind of off-kilter disco jam to turn heads.

Review: Whispered words from the ancient earth. The biosphere metaphorically battered by dusty drum machines, synth swept landscapes, industrial hooks that ring out from the barren outback. Was is das?

Die Orangen are Australian-expats Kris Baha and Dreems, and together they have crafted a genre: "Krautback." Rooted in indigenous psychedelia, resonating the vast expanses of the island of Gondwanaland, turnt up by progressive cultures, and multiplied by the logic of the German mind.

Hear the sound of the Southern sun melt genres, feel it flow downstream into a languid ocean of sound.

Beware the punch of the red kangaroo, a bite from the deadly taipan, the neon stare in a tree-frogs eye, and the bleached siren call of the coral reef - these wild sonic reveries ominously soundtrack the future that nature has in store.

Review: For its 4th release, Malka Tuti is welcoming J.A.K.A.M. to its ever-expanding family. Born in Tokyo Japan, J.A.K.A.M. has been been one of the leading figures developing the music scene in Japan from the early 90s as a DJ, producer and a band member. His wide variety of musical influences ranges from house, hip hop, drum&bass, techno, reggae, jazz, rock and world music. With combining these different styles of inspirations and tradition, he creates the most unique time and space on the dance floor, a kind of fusion of early tribal house (recording live instruments in the studio), world music with a pinch of shamanic spiritual vibes. On his ep for Malka Tuti he delivers 2 Original epic tunes, followed by a smokey dub version by Versatile Records boss Gilb'r and a total dance-floor smashing remix by Aussie prodigy - Dreems.

Review: J.A.K.A.M is Japanese artist Takashige Miyawaki, a long standing producer commonly found on Crosspoint Records. On this release for the ever intriguing Malka Tuti label Miyawaki draws on a thrilling spread of influences to make a truly soul-stirring track. At times the vocals lean towards a Middle Eastern lilt while the saxophone burns with the fire of the post punk era. With monolithic drum hits, yearning violin and plenty more besides, "Wabi Sabi" is a many-headed beast of a track. Moscoman takes the original and simmers it down to a more focused but no less exotic tribal house workout.

Review: Khidja are back on Malka Tuti and this combo cannot and will not dissappoint. After their successful debut on John Talabot's Hivern-Discs, Khidja continue their current direction of leftfield-club music exploration, this time in the form of Microb, a track that is a wolrd of its own, fusioning heavy industrial vibes with their own take of "worldly music" to create this peak time dancefloor bonanza. On the flip side Salon Des Amateurs Tolouse Low Trax delievers two takes on the original track, stripped down and turned upside down, adding those Massive vocals. These takes are hypnotic as they are groovey and they complete a unique package for the modern dance floor explorers... Zuruck zu Sprecher eins

  4. 40 Gram Beton (radio edit) (3:56)
Review: Helmed by Asaf Samuel and Katzele, Malka Tuti transmits cosmic boogie sounds from Tel Aviv that come from lesser-known sources. On their fifth release they turn to The Kloom, a loose-fit operation of unknowns making a debut appearance with the powerful strut of "40 Gram Beton". Mixing slow disco grooves with ranging synths and warm piano notes, it's an infectious track that provides a prime jump-off point for the cast of remixers that round out the release. Die Wilde Jagd adds a more mechanical coldwave pulse to the track while Khidja gets lost in a swirling trip of a version, with the label throwing in a radio edit as a bonus on the B2.

  3. Tarantella (Black Merlin remix) (8:00)
Review: Previously found lurking around W.T. Records and Crimes Of The Future, Tapan comes to Malka Tuti with an exotic, lurching beast of a track to send shivers down your spine should you encounter it on a proper system. "Tarantella" is a mind-bending workout whichever angle you approach from, all psyched-out synth lines and brooding rhythms, and then "Poison High" rears up on the flip with its even more transcendental tones. Black Merlin is a wise choice to tackle the title track for a remix, making an equally tense and tribalistic workout that puts the wayward spirit back into the machine.
