Now On The Ocean Sky Only Knows Back In The Mountain Is Where It Goes (8:58)
Im Kloster (6:31)
Fizmo Theme (5:22)
Review: No one does minimal house quite likes Koos Ludwig. The man from Devanter is back with more of his trademark sound: rolling subterranean grooves that will no doubt rock the underground this Summer and beyond. Always the prankster, what would an Ion Ludwig release be without absurd track titles and get a load of this one "Now On The Ocean Sky Only Knows Back In The Mountain Is Where It Goes"; which is as rolling, bass heavy and dark as you'd expect. By comparison, the title track is more uplifting with its dreamy synth leads and infectious syncopation in its rhythm department getting the job done nicely. Finally on the flip "Fizmo Theme" hammers the message home in dark and dubby fashion, getting that spooky trance inducing vibe happening just as well as any Melchior Productions track.

Review: Sensoramic is a new label on a mission of sensory expansion. For the debut release the UK based imprint drafts new producer Karousel to deliver two cuts of machine driven house. S.A.M., the Danish Oscillat/Delaphine favourite appears on the remix fresh from delivering a slew of killer originals and remixes as well as his most recent Mandar collaboration with Lazare Hoche and Malin Genie. On this Reshape, he is at his most sublime best delivering an emotive retake on the original that stretches heady organs and melodies alongside a beat that refuses to let up.

M9 (8:00)
M8 (6:02)
M6C (5:21)
Review: Alex Piccone has been steadily releasing some quality minimal house since the late noughties for acclaimed imprints such as Cadenza, Bass Culture and Bosconi. For new imprint Yay he serves up the Frequency Switch EP which four cuts of reduced analogue house like on opening track "M9" emotive and jacking but covered in the right amount of dust and so emotive! "M8" is more uptempo and uplifting with its blip melody and hypnotising chords doing most of the work against a minimal backdrop. Finally on the flip "M6C" is the kind of rusted and decayed electro that Frenchman TC80 is pushing too at the moment and the kind of thing you might hear Oner Ozer or Binh playing out; it's very cool!

Even 11 (9:45)
Loop 1 (0:10)
Wishing Well (10:57)
Loop 2 (0:17)
Review: Fresh off unleashing the superb You Find The Key LP by Fumiya Tanaka, Zip, Markus Nikolai and Chris Rehberger's cult Perlon label coax some fresh material out of Margaret Dygas. Perlon is of course a label Dygas has been aligned with throughout much of her celebrated career, though she's only put out a handful of 12"s and an LP on the label. The two-track Even 11 is a welcome sight then and the title track finds Dygas tunnelling deep into a rich groove of expert percussive detail and tripped out effects atop a thick and luscious bass line. Complementing this, "Wishing Well" is one of those trademark Perlon B-side trippers, suggestively hinting at acquiring a stable groove whilst all manner of intricate, leftfield sounds help gently push the track forwards.

September By Touch (12:31)
490 (12:28)
Review: If the weekly arrivals at Juno are any indicator, it's a rich and plentiful time for fans of the Romanian sound with so many interesting artists helping to push the minimal genre forwards. Barac Nicolae belongs at the forefront of this movement and he's been in fine fettle so far in 2016, with a recent contribution to the Rawax Aira series a particular favourite here. It's Cluj-based Midi Records (affiliated with the popular venue of the same name) that score the latest batch from Barac in the shape of the Seen and Unseen EP. Whilst they may adopt a slightly darker tone than recent Barac material, both "490" and "September by Touch" are slow cooked under the Romanian's signature jagged groove.

Some Kind Of Arrangement (7:49)
First Refusal (7:46)
Review: London's Archie Hamilton breaks away temporarily from his usual home of Fuse London to throw down some fine hi-tech minimalist grooves for prolific Frankfurt imprint Pleasure Zone. When considering that they've previously offered up the likes of Vid and Ali Nasser, you can appreciate the Romanian influence on this 12" too; Hamilton's sound is really developing well. On the A side "Some Kind Of Arrangement" has the funky and cyclical hypnotism that could have him likened to the likes of Barac while on the flip "First Refusal" is more deep down and drugged up; perfect for the morning set with its paranoid and low slung groove.

One Way To Pluto ((Vinyl Only)) (7:31)
Adderall (7:41)
87-88 (Kilimanjaro dub - Enzo Siragusa & Alexkid remix) (6:41)
Review: Enzo Siragusa's Fuse London imprint is back with more top notch minimal grooves for the afterhours shift. Londoner Anthony DiFrancesco teams up with newcomer Samuel Bellis team up on the DB Productions project who serve us with some deep and rolling high fidelity grooves like "One Way To Pluto" which is paranoid and trance inducing; just perfect for the morning set for when things get weird. "Adderall" gives you a good kick just like its namesake; this one is more energetic and on the deep house tip but still loopy and hypnotic enough for perfect dancefloor dynamics. Finally "87-88" gets a remix by French deep house maestro Alexkid with label boss Siragusa himself and it's a good one: stripped, bass driven and functional.

Anthea - "The Fog" (6:28)
Review: When another Andromeda release hits the shelves we're just as excited as you are. Other than the obvious fact that it's Romanian, the label is shrouded in much mystery still, even after seven releases in; but we like that! An dromeda 07 serves up one brilliantly deep and hypnotic (as always) track by label mainstay and Bucharest hero Vid with the sublime "The Search" which in typical fashion flows on and on for nearly 12 minutes of bliss. On the flip they hand the reins to London deep house heroine Anthea who delivers two fine cuts: first up the trippy and cyclical "Grumpy Cat" with its swirling pads doing most of the basic trance induction while "The Fog" gets a bit more swing and shuffle on with its tough and dusty drums backing some dark atmospherics which you can imagine hearing during an overcast afternoon on a messy Sunday at Club der Visionaere.

Caria Marey (7:45)
The Great Sventon (Bob Harley Road mix) (5:54)
Kabusawki (9:11)
Review: Thilo Dietrich hails from Kaub in Germany's West-Rhine region and appears for the third instalment on Pager entitled The Saga Of Bennos T.S. For the Offenbach/Frankfurt based record label run by Markus Sommer & Phil Evans. On the first side "Caria Marey" is bleepy tech house that rolls deep while "The Great Sventon (Bob Harley Road mix)" is glitchy minimal funk that's perfect for paranoid afterhours gatherings and reminiscent of early Minibar releases. Finally on the flip we've got "Kabusawki" which is definitely the most advanced and well executed production. The trippy and bumpin' groove on this is absolutely wicked and is a must for fans of quirky grooves like that of Perlon or Boogizm.

Hello? Repeat Soundsystem - "Elevate Escalate" (8:07)
DeWalta - "Be My Man" (5:54)
DJ Pi-Ge - "Sanmonban" (6:33)
Review: Daze Maxim and Jan Krueger's Hello? Repeat imprint has been going strong since the early noughties and known with well repute for their reductionist techno and house grooves, paying no mind to trends or transients and sticking to their guns: and we can certainly appreciate that. On this release Krueger and Maxim collaborate as Hello? Repeat Soundsystem and present the bleepy and rolling deep groove of "Elevate Escalade" which is perfect for Sunday afterhours dancing at Club der Visionaere. Local hero and Meander main man DeWalta takes a break from collaborating with close pal Mike Shannon on "Be My Man" for some deep and dubby tech house of the most mysterious and hi-tech persuasion. Finally Osaka's DJ Pi-Ge gives us the deeply reductionist "Sanmonban" which will whisk you away delightfully with its basic trance induction.

Review: Rayo is Raymond Obouvie from Odessa, Ukraine serving up the Vil'ni EP on Moscow's always reliable Body Parts. This is his second appearance for the label since 2013's Sara EP with Pan Sancho. On the A side, "Gushavina" and "Termin" are a couple of deep and rolling high-tech minimal bombs with a really strong attention to detail in their production. On the flip there's "Goyda" which is much more reduced and dubby but gradually builds up into a funky and immersive groove.

New Skool Acid (Seb Zito remix) (6:45)
New Skool Acid (Matthias Tanzmann remix) (7:04)
Review: He's Hot Natured, tres Freak 'N Chic (once upon a time) but now he's gonna raise Kaoz on the dancefloor: business as usual from the UK tech house legend Jamie Jones. It's more of the smooth and slinky house you'd expect from Bangand or's finest on "Illicit Behaviour" often copied but never matched. He ups the ante on next track "New Skool Acid" which is much more fierce and funky. This dirty and druggy shuffler is definitely for the peak time. There's a bunch of killer remixes of said track too: we're particularly feeling Matthias Tanzmann's rendition where the Leipzig legend gives it a dark and atmospheric makeover for late night sleaze.

Review: Mexico's Rebolledo has played an important part in Comeme's development over the years, and his nutty strain of electronic dance music fit perfectly in line with the label's tone of voice. Never straight enough to be categorised as house but always too structured to be labelled simply as ambient, Rebolledo is one of the few artist's truly making 'outsider' music these days. This latest album, Mondo Alterado, is perfect for anyone wanting something deep and mystical but that still carries enough weight and shape to be played to other human beings. In fact, a big part of the tunes on this LP verge onto the 'dance' side of things, but the producer has a distinct knack for making that sound constantly surprising, a sort of perennial sonic morphing that steers clear of any concrete genres. TIP!

Review: Parisian legend Chris Carrier is back, donning the Monsieur Georget alias for his explorations in the tripper and more minimalist shades of house that he likes to pursue every now and again, just like he did earlier this year on the superb "L'Album" LP which is also highly recommended. It's more of the same great grooves on the Double Lune EP, the title track is deep, woozy and hypnotic much like Thomas Melchior's kind of vibe. The "Third Child Boomer mix" goes even deeper and more abstract; this one's perfect for messing with minds at the after hours. On the flip there's another remix by NYC's Kamran Sadeghi and this one's really uptempo and energetic, getting that rolling bass and complex rhythm arrangements happening reminiscent of Barac.

Craig Bratley - "Raw Trax #1" (5:17)
Craig Bratley - "Night Moves" (5:28)
Review: Craig Bratley's Magic Feet imprint is back y'all and in fine form as always. The Kukushka EP features Roe Deers on the A side, who contributes the infectious deep house stomp of the title track which has just enough dust and rust thrown into the mix to make this a standout track. Also on offer is the the retro 80's leaning remix by man of the moment Markus Gibb which would mix in well to a Lauer or Tuff City Kids track. On the flip Bratley serves up the rusty and gritty acid jack of "Raw Trax #1" which is so convincing you'd think it was a lost tape from 1986 while on "Night Moves" it goes for more of the nu-disco vibe with some rich arpeggiations and emotive pads that will cater to the best boogie playgrounds out there.
