This month we present you 10 records: novelties, reissues and recommendations.
Being partial (yes, we are!) , this time the chart is a true whole Schema chart: starting with the coming back of Nicola Conte and Toco, a new chapter of “The Golden Age of Danish Pornography” and some amazing reissues, to a couple of recent records that maybe weren’t catch by your radar.
Nicola is back: the Italian producer, musician and dj has put together an astonishing cast of musicians and vocalists, delivering a soul-jazz master piece. Among the artists involved :José James, Heidi Vogel, Marvin Parks, Melanie Charles, Timo Lassy, Till Brönner and many others.
After years from his last album on Schema, Toco comes back offering a new slant on his country: “Memoria” is an album recounting the north-east of Brazil; the artist doesnʼt abandon his trademark sound, but explores the musical world of artists that influenced him and had inspired his artistical path:Edu Lobo, Milton Nascimento, Arthur Verocai, Geraldo Vandré, Sergio Ricardo e Dorival Caymmi.
We are pleased to present you the second instalment of “The Golden Age of Danish Pornography”. Alex brought to this vol.2 all his groovy and funk atmospheres, crafting a perfect soundtrack that smells like 70s.
Then, new 7” for our beloved vinyl fanatics, new reissues… Big reissues!
Here you have the upcoming Piero Umiliani’s “Smog”, the highly sought-after “Dicky Oliver” LP and again Umiliani in “Parole e Musica” with the amazing Helen Merrill. Stay tuned, we have more of these goodies in the pipeline!
If you haven’t grab your copy of “See The Light” and “Registrazioni al Buio”, well don’t lose the chance and have a listen to these two gems!
