Techno
  1. The Exaltics - "Endless Journey" (5:09)
  2. Umwelt - "Delusive Reality" (5:33)
Review: On this installment of the long running Rave Or Die series, ever-present producer Umwelt is joined by prolific, mask-wearing techno misfits The Exaltics. It's the latter, a German twosome headed up by Robert Witschakowski, who strike first, layering up bubbly electronics, hard-wired acid lines, muscular beats and spacey chords on the sweaty techno/electro hybrid "Endless Journey". Umwelt goes a little deeper and moodier on flipside "Delusive Reality". While the acid lines are sharp and occasionally intense, he contrasts them with bittersweet pads, yearning melodies and a pulsating rhythm track full of relentless kick drums, crunchy snares and hissing cymbals.

Techno
  1. The Mover - "Invisible Space" (remastered 2017) (7:20)
  2. Minimum Syndicat - "Battle Dress" (4:59)
  3. The Hacker - "Wave Of Darkness" (6:08)
  4. Umwelt - "Hooverrun" (5:24)
Review: According to Rave or Die's press team, this compilation style ten-inch double-pack contains only "bangers and DJ tools for connoisseurs". That's actually a rather apt description of the '90s rave influenced fare on offer. The Mover kicks things off with a 2017 re-master of nails 2009 production "Invisible Space" - think aggressive Belgian techno noises, bombastic beats and spacey bleeps - before Minimum Syndicat blurs the boundaries between electro, techno and industrial on the foreboding "Battle Dress". Over on ten-inch number two, you'll find The Hacker's similarly minded (and similarly fuzzy) "Wave of Darknes", as well as label boss Umwelt's TB-303 heavy tribute to R&S Records' back catalogue, the saucer-eyed, tops-off stomp of "Hooverrun".

Review: More electro goodies from the Satamile imprint with this new doublepack from Umwelt. "Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation" features 8 new cuts of bristling electro from Umwelt, with a number of tracks that would definitely appeal to the fans of the grittier end of the D&B spectrum as well as the electro collectors, with moody synths, brooding basslines, and crisp rolling electro breaks galore.

  6. Citadel Of The Chaos (6:36)
  7. World Shatters (6:14)
  8. End Of Light (3:54)
Review: French electro legend Umwelt returns with more darkside and dystopian beats for for his new Boidae imprint. He is the founder of Shelter, Fundata and New Flesh which sure proves that he has endless inspiration. Days Of Dissent features some breakneck analogue funk asaults full of vintage machine flair, showcasing the album's nefarious and cynical concept. The high octane assault that is the title track is reminiscent of Bass Junkie & Dexorcist or Exzakt, however there are more mellow strains of electro on offer with "Factory Of Death" and "Non Conformity" reminiscent of early noughties sounds emanating from Kommando 6 or Murder Capital. The brooding closer "End Of Light" gives a nod to the sound's classic origins from Detroit and done respectfully.
